The place is small and only 2 people can be taken cared of at a time, but if you go at certain times you won't need to wait. (You'll have to become a regular at this place to find that info for yourself ) The 2 barbers here welcomes everyone's and are skilled at what they do. Tell them what you want and they'll cut your hair the way you like. If you're not happy and you want more trimmings and cutting, they'll do it for you until your satisfied. If you like getting the typical fohawk, trim, haircut, or shave, they can do it for you. Haircut starts at £9 and if you're a student with a card it's £8. These guys enjoy what they are doing and take pride with what they do. Since I'm a regular, I've gotten to know them so it's always nice to get my haircut. Even if they are busy and tired they always have a big smile on their face and ready to welcome you!

Either the barber is irritating and antagonistic, he/she is ridiculously rough with your scalp or it's insanely overpriced. Thankfully, Richmond Barbers doesn't succumb to any of these pitfalls. The service is friendly, unimposing and give you a quick, decent haircut. The mood inside is welcoming and chilled out with nice music playing in the background. I first booked a hot towel shave to be done by Graeme and as I'd never had one before he talked me through the service and after a few more visits, it was time for a haircut, going from barber to barber for a while had taken its toll on my confidence of allowing someone new to cut my hair but Graeme, asked me what style I'd like, how I'd had it cut in the past etc and he gave me a haircut that I was thoroughly happy with! There are a few barbers dotted around, and Bailey's Barber Shop is, in my opinion, a cut above the rest. I first discovered Bailey's in the first year of my degree, while I was living in the Newington area of town. They quickly established themselves as my barber of choice. There was rarely a wait for a haircut, and I often went by on my way into lectures. The barbers themselves were chatty, and always gave me the haircut that I wanted. This, combined with the ideal location, meant that I continued to come back here for the first couple of years of my degree before I moved to the other side of town. Prices are reasonable, with a student discount available. For someone like me, whose hair grows at a fair rate, using a salon would not be cost-effective. Bailey's Barber Shop provided me with a great haircut each time, and I would highly recommend them.
