Came here with a friend for full face threading booked through Classpass. They are super friendly, chill and welcoming here, as well as very thorough with threading. Removed every little hair! The only thing I would advise is if you don't want your eyebrows shaped, make sure to mention that first. My brows are a little thinner than I like but they'll grow back quickly. read more

Let's get one truth out of the way: getting any part of your body waxed/threaded is no fun at all. It is such a drag, sometimes we try to hold out visiting a salon for as long as we can. I've been to my share of threading salons in the almost 6 years since I got "eyebrow-conscious" and I've grown to hate going to the salon more and more over the years. Few have disappointed, but each one has been solid while I'm always on the prowl for a better one that doesn't have people tugging on my skin. There aren't too many (great) places in Sunnyside for eyebrow threading and so it happens that I spontaneously decided to get my eyebrows threaded while I was on the train back home one night. I didn't want to travel to 74th St, so I quickly opened up my Yelp app to find this the closest--and most convenient--location on the way back home. Like a few Yelpers have mentioned, said smell makes this place pleasantly inviting. I believe this salon is Himalayan-owned and after my first time getting my brows threaded here, I was sold (which is a rarity when it comes to threading salons). The ladies here are absolute sweethearts and appreciate your presence (or at least try to), unlike some salons who seem bothered. They know exactly what I want and get the job done on the first try, whereas I usually have to ask like 5 times to make it thinner and get teeth-sucking responses because it seems like I'm questioning their ability. $5 is pretty standard. The only thing I don't like is when they keep pushing other services on me, even if I refuse repeatedly but thankfully, it doesn't take away from the quality of their services. read more

I had an overall positive experience here - I cam in around 2:00 on Saturday and was taken right away for my mani-pedi. The woman who did it was very friendly and nice - most importantly, she took her time!!! She did not rush at all. My nails came out great. Only complaint: she ripped open my one cuticle, but mistakes happen and she apologized and cleaned it up immediately. Odd part: There was a lady who got her brows done and started freaking out because she hated how they turned out...so there was a ton of arguing going on. Also, another lady came in and was mad that she had to wait for a pedi, so she left. Everyone was in a bad mood, maybe because of the heat?? Tip: Use cash. If I could give the place ZERO stars I would. I have been coming here for about a year and this last service was the last straw. To begin I have tried facials, tinted and waxed eye brows, and eyelash services and hav experience issues with every single service. When I received a facial, she stopped midway to service another client, leaving the treatment on way too long. My face has left with first degree burns. When getting tinted brows they only lasted about 3 days when she promised it would last two weeks. Always pressuring to give a tip when you are not satisfied with a service. I tried lash extensions and she literally glued a lash to the inside of my eye lid. I panicked because I couldn't see and decided to remove all of the extensions the same day. This evening was the last straw. I asked for tinted brows and an eyebrow wax. She said I didn't need a wax so we proceeded with the tint. I didn't like the turn out because it was clear that I needed to wax for clean up. Dissatisfied I decided not to tip for the first time in a year. I was told I held her back later than necessary and it was my fault. I was spoken to in a way that was inappropriate and disrespectful. I will never support this business again. Stay clear. I live nearby so it made sense to come in and get the gel mani I had off and a new one on. First off, when she was taking off my old gel she scrapped my nails so harshly she was stabbing into my cuticles. I didn't complain. Then she didn't fully remove the old gel on some of my fingers and proceeded to put on the new gel base coat. Not only was the base coat riddled with bubbles, but it was super uneven and had jagged bumps she proceeded to paint over unevenly. I don't usually complain and deal with some bubbles or imperfections but this was completely UNACCEPTABLE. It looked like a 5 year old glopped goo on my nails. The whole thing took forever and was so frustrating I just asked her to take it all off and leave it. Then I needed my eyebrows threaded. I don't know who would go here because she rubbed her hands all over my face and lips as she threaded my eyebrows. She also didn't tell me to hold my eyelid or anything and was practically tearing out my eyelashes. Just an overall unpleasant and unsanitary experience. Top all of this off with her talking about me and her annoyance with the other woman working there in their native language. This was my worse nail/spa/whatever experience ever! Don't make any exceptions, if the place looks run down and dirty, best to go with your instincts and AVOID. read more

I've never tried these threading salons for my nails but I was kind of short on time and looking for affordable and convenience. This place has both, they're right on Queens Blvd (literally downstairs from the 40th Street 7 train stop) and manicure gel and regular pedicure was $30 (yes and yes!) However you certainly get what you pay for (this isn't to say the service was bad, the girls were so friendly and sweet!) the 3 stars are there for how great and friendly the service was but the location is very small, the options of nail colors seem limited and not at all varied, I wasn't given a swatch of colors to pick from the gel color options, the materials they used to do my manicure like the nail file looked pretty worn out. I still have the blue nail polish color from my last manicure that I can see under my french manicure and it's been day 3 and already my gel nail color has chipped. I told the lady who was threading my forehead and eyebrows. I had specifically had told to clean my eyebrows not to shape it because it's already shaped well. Even though I had told her she shaped my eyebrows with two different styles. My right eyebrow looks so much thinner and smaller. My toes and nails look great--nice shape and color but they chipped right away. Came back a second time to try them out and had them add a second layer of whatever top coat they use--they chipped the very next day yet again. She also used an already used wooden stick on my nails--yikes! It's pretty dingy. Quality waxing and threading--just be sure to check their work when their done and have them fix it--they miss some spots but they made is painless. read more

Came in here because I needed to get my eyebrows threaded urgently because a few days ago, I went to a local salon and got a horrible job done. Anyway, I was on my way to a threading salon Siri was guiding me to, but saw this on the way. I walked in and my first impressions were that it smelled lovely. Like baby powder and flowers, instead of sweat like most other places smell like. The woman took me right away, the thread was very gentle, she was super quick, and my eyebrows look great. I love getting my eyebrows done here. The women at the salon are very nice and friendly. I do request waxing instead of threading, as (oddly enough) waxing hurts me less than threading. I go here every two weeks and I come out very pleased. They do a little bit of a massage at the end of the hair removal, which I find nice. They also give you a card, and after the 10th visit, your next eyebrow wax/thread is free. read more

This place is right by my house so I wanted to try them out for an upper lip wax, I do my eyebrows myself and don't let anyone touch them. But doing my upper lip was tedious so I decided to try this place out.. Man was that a mistake. First off they charge more on a card than for cash, which I'm fine with, I know you have to add tax. Then, when she finally sat me down (without washing her hands from her previous client) she didn't check to see where the hair was. Just spread it all over my face in globs. Then she double/triple dipped the stick in the wax finally she says some hairs won't come out with wax and she'll thread them. All I felt was pain. Did she thread them or take a razor to my face and cut me multiple times? Idk. So I pay, tip nicely and leave. Next day I see plenty of hair left on my upper lip? Either she did a horrible job or my hair just don't quit! I've been here more than once just to give them a chance but every time I'm disappointed. Do not go here for eyelash extensions. I have been getting extensions for over a year in various different places and this is the first awful experience I've had with them. I had bad vibes when I realized she didn't even give me a fan for the lashes (normally they do that so it can dry properly) and I noticed my eyes burning more than usual while she was applying. After she finished the first eye and began with my right one, that's when everything went wrong. I'm guessing glue went into my eye and it started burning and she had to quickly get the glue out before anything else happened. I had to sit up and fan my eyes with a bin top and when she continued to finish it my eyes were red and burning so bad. After I left I couldn't even see properly my eyes were blurry so I went back to the store and explained that she must have applied it wrong because it kept poking my eye and I couldn't even open my eyes correctly.. after making me wait for a while she then told me she doesn't know why it feels like that (which is ridiculous because as the employee you're supposed to know why it's burning or hurting a customer) and she told me this is the first time someone complains about eyelashes at their store.... (Ok). She wiped my eyes which made it feel a little better but I do not suggest this place at all. She charged me $25 plus tip for me to walk out with burning eyes and come back complaining which I never have to do. Very disappointed. Oh and by the way, she left lash glue on my bottom lash which is why I think my lashes were extremely painful when I left. She cleaned that up when I came back. Very unprofessional. read more

As she's threading the brows of a Spanish woman, I hear her talking about how, for a lack of words, promiscuous the woman is dressed, and how low the woman's morale must be. The woman was just wearing a low cut shirt. How dare you take her money with a smile and talk like this about her? I'm a generous tipper, but they don't seem to remember, I step up to the spotlight and I find myself the victim of this same verbal abuse time and time again. Also in terms of hygiene they're lacking greatly! Don't get your nails done here or any wax (they double dip). Please ladies, take your business to someone who respects you, I certainly won't be stepping into this salon ever again. First time here and I must say I am very happy. I got the chocolate brazilian and regular full leg wax done. This place isn't fancy but it gets the job done. They are hygienic and meticulous with are the most important thing for me. NO DOUBLE DIP =) The chocolate wax was a first for me, I normally do the sugaring but felt it was pretty much the same. And all of this for a total of $55, can't believe I was getting robbed all this time going to the city. So I recently started coming here maybe two-three months now. Its close to work and I come here during my lunch break should I need a quick eyebrow threading. I really enjoy coming here the ladies are really nice, but the reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 because last week I got my eyebrows done and the woman that did my eyebrows was too rough and ended up ripping some of my skin. I didn't notice till later on when I go home and my eyebrows were still red. I did get a Brazilian and I must say I was impressed, the woman that did it was wonderful. She took her time and even went back in to thread out the little hairs that the wax did not pick up.
