The staff were really attentive and very pleasant and personable without being in your face! Because it was a special occasion I had booked a cabin. I chose a spa cabin, a little bit more expensive than the standard but still excellent value and the jacuzzi was enormous! After a bottle of bubbly and a luxurious soak in the bubbles we were ready for our bed on the mezzanine. The rooms were terrifically well appointed and quite by far the most reasonably priced luxury we've enjoyed in a long time. I have a feeling we're going to be holding a lot more celebrations at The Gardeners!

The proprietors supply a professional and warm welcome and are always at hand for any of your needs even if it is just a friendly chat. Athol House has five generously spaced rooms (one larger family room) and decorated to an elegantly high standard with plenty of storage and hangers. The standard facilities of TV and tea & coffee facility's avail themselves as well as a heated towel rail, travel cot, high chair and ironing equipment at request. I also found a BT OpenZone WiFi hub and 3G connectivity for the more online traveller. Breakfast is an area for a B&B to win or lose repeat clientele but there is very little chance of you coming away anything less than impressed and contented. Various cereals and fresh fruits avail themselves whilst you await your cooked meal. The plates served are always picture perfect and you can tell that the cook has an eye for perfection. Not to miss, the scrambled eggs are a cut above. Athol House can hold its head up high, I've had worse nights staying in four star business hotel chains and certainly worse breakfasts.

I stayed in room 21 on the night of Saturday 10th June 2023 and i was extremely surprised when my room that was just a twin room had a balcony that overlooked the town nicely. Entire room was spotlessly clean including things like the bath, toilet, beds etc. The breakfast was the best breakfast i had had in a very long time, cooked to perfection. Debbie & Jason were the best hosts. Not only were they friendly & eager to share information about the area but they served up a wonderful breakfast. They even accounted for our dietary needs. Room rates are very acceptable - particularly if you can bag yourself a sea view room, and if you're prepared to spend a little extra then theres a luxury 'honeymoon suite' on the top floor. The room was cozy, clean and had everything I needed. A lovely shower! Being an old building there were some creaky floors and some guest were not good about being quiet late at night or early in the morning. The breakfast was lovely...wonderful service and tasty. There is a bar and a place where you can have other meals and tea. The staff was very attentive. They even did my aunt's laundry for me since she was in hospital. Great location...within walking distance to so many places. I was very pleased with the Inn overall and will definitely stay there again when visiting Beverley. Cheers!
