It was a stop on the way back home, but you can easily spend a few hours here browsing. Even leaving, everyone commented that they'd come back to it. Maybe just with more spending money. If you need to go present shopping, get your gift giving ideas here. With so much for your eyes to glaze over, bed frames, dishes, lace, a room full of movie memorabilia (where I spent majority of my time), old school cameras, and so much more; you are sure to find something here. When you exit the main Packing House building, follow the signs and just outside is an outdoor village, with can you guess- even more shops. I only took a brief walk around to see the premises, but I could not believe there were so many antique shops all in one place. Hungry for a nibble? There's a cool cafe that is an old train car in between the Packing House and the village. It's located directly outside of the Tyabb train station, and my whole visit here caught my expectations off guard.

Alongside several other smaller antique and craft/ junk warehouses in the nearby area, Tyabb Packing House is THE place to catch all sorts of great items. These include high end antiques, including bed frames, lac and cutlery, through to great junk - second hand or pre-loved mid-20th century items. Lots of homewares, display cabinets (so great for other shop owners looking for items) and posters for movie lovers. For those who are checking every nook & cranny, they have kindly organised a cafe (Elixir) in the middle-back of the Packing House and there is also the Red Rattler train carriage food outlet as well as toilets onsite. Therefore, all; set for hours of exploring and picking up some great bargains.

From street level, you'd think this place has closed. No one going up or coming down the…read moreescalators. However, inside this place is chaos, but not in a bad way. The aisles are narrow and with so many people on phones or looking for products, you have to be patient or push your way through. The prices are competitive, but not fantastic. I looked at My Chemist and found some of the same prices. However, this place has a lot more to offer. The line gets long, but with eight cash registers going, the line moves quickly. Anything you need from a drug store is most likely in one of the aisles.

While this is a regional art gallery, it doesn't necessarily mean that the art isn't particularly…read moregood, because it is. Mind you, like a lot of the regional galleries that I have visited they tend to show case artworks from local residents, and the collection in this gallery certainly did emphasise the Mornington Peninsula. The other thing I particularly liked about the place was that it was free entry, but then again a lot of these galleries are also free. Yeah, this place is pretty good, and the works are forever changing as well, so you can visit multiple times and always find something new.

The lovely Asher Keddie was painted by her lover, Vincent Fantuozzo which captured the "in love" glowing face. I liked Michael Zavhros painting called "Bad Dad" with inferences of Caravaggio. Newly opened, you might be forgiven to miss the Rosebud Vintage Bazaar and I discovered it when I stopped to get a coffee from the shop at the front. There's heaps to see and try on, each stall has their own specialities but the common thread (get it? Haha) is the vintage threads, and men and women are well represented here although most of it is for women. There's all sorts of curios in between the racks of clothes and all around, where the stall owners have taken pride in curating and displaying their wares. From a garment point of view, I reckon they had some pretty great finds when I was there, although that changes all the time. Each stall may have a display cabinet clearly labeled and if something inside strikes your fancy, just let the lovely ladies at the front counter know which cabinet it is and they will gladly assist you. Kinda like the Chapel St Bazaar. But unlike it, there's still room to move around in each stall without worrying about bumping something off a shelf and the staff are simply lovely and friendly. Clearly, they love vintage and anyone who loves vintage. You'll also find furniture items as well as lots of retro and vintage kitchenalia. Pricing seems just right for most of the items on sale here, and different from other places here you'll feel like the owners do want to sell them and not just display them. I hate it when they just don't seem to want to sell you something yet are in the business of selling! You won't find that attitude here in Rosebud. I saw some Pyrex Mixing bowls just like what mum has and I might go back and get them soon. They sure don't make them like they used to.
