In light of tragic circumstances that have made it difficult for many to trust, the protection and care that Ms. Caity Lee and her team provided us means that much more. Over the past nearly six years, KinderCare became a part of our lives, and we became a part of theirs. From birthday parties to center events, there was always laughter and genuine care. The team at this location means so much to us, and we will forever be grateful for the friends Tony has made, the teachers who have inspired him, and the amazing education Tony received. We no longer see it as a daycare, but as the true development center it is. There have been so many people who have touched our lives there, and most recently, Ms. Anu was amazing, taking on a group of kids who have been together since their early months. Staff children were rarely held accountable and tended to bully other kids. I agree with the previous reviewer regarding the director. She is very unprofessional, does not want to take accountability for issues and tends to blame the child or parent. J's demeanor is very passive aggressive and unpleasant, she is slow to respond to issues from parents. There is very little diversity among staff and children. I've seen kids exclude other children because of their skin color and staff refusing to address issues of racism among children. I don't recommend it.

We decided to enroll our son in the fall of 2015, once he was over his stranger danger/sensitive period. We hired a wonderful nanny in the meantime. She and her husband planned the birth of their own firstborn around our son's 2015 fall enrollment. Mayflower was our top pick and their toddler teacher came highly recommended by an old friend, another Montessori teacher and Children's House owner in the community. We signed up when our son was a newborn, 14 months ago, and waited. We were excited for visiting day this past month, but shocked to learn we were not actually enrolled. I'm a first time mom, but based on my own research and tours of other toddler programs, this was highly irregular, so I reached out for confirmation. The response from their director Nanci was very canned and left me stunned, "Thanks for coming to Visiting Day. Our application process is continuing and we will be making final decisions for enrollment in the next few weeks. There are many factors we take into account to make our decisions and we balance the classrooms by age and gender. You will hear from us by Friday, March 27. The visiting day we attended last week was an absolute carnival with 40 families and toddlers! I feel the number of attendees was very misleading for so few openings. I hope that this was an isolated incident. We may have fallen through the cracks since we signed up on recommendation from a Montessori teacher before the toddler program even began at Mayflower. We are still really disappointed and terribly inconvenienced by our experience. We are now scrambling to find an acceptable daycare for our happy, healthy 15 month-old boy. Every place has a year wait. Any insights or advice are most welcome! Our amazing nanny will be on maternity leave and we are really stuck!

They are very caring and creative keeping the kids busy and teaching them all day. O2B teaches preschool curriculum, our child has learned so much since joining. The subs and temps are on their phones alot and even resorted just putting on cartoons on the school iPad to distract the kids at one point. So its not a good learning environment. My child has personally gotten hurt here multiple times and mistreated by other students. The last time he got hurt was because a piece of concrete was protruding out of the ground in the play ground outside. He cut his head and had to get checked out by a doctor immediately. They thankfully administered first aid immediately. Another student also put his stuffed animal in the toilet and other students bite him on more than one occasion. There also appears to be a lack of transparency about all of this. So I would not recommend sending your child here until they clean up their act.

If you are reading this review you may be wondering (just like we were) about the best place for your child to begin their education. What do you look for? Will your child feel comfortable and welcome ? What can you expect from a Montessori education? This school had everything we were looking for and more. They offer morning and afternoon sessions and they offer both 3-day and 5-day programs. The class sizes are small and social and you likely won't find more caring and passionate educators than Miss Nora and Miss Susan. Plus, the tuition is affordable and some assistance is available. We are almost done with our son's first year and we are planning to enroll him for a second year in the fall. Our daughter will be going there, too - no doubt in my mind. You should know that this is a small school with a close-knit connection between children, teachers and parents and they ask for parents to play an active role in the school if you can spare the time. This isn't the "drop your kid off in the parking lot" kind of place and we love how our son has blossomed in the quiet and challenging environment under the Montessori philosophy practiced at Kinderhaus Montessori. I could not have been more lucky than to have Joanne (the sitter provided to us) spend two days with my baby girl. She was capable, caring, conscientious, timely, responsive and intelligent. Our sitter (MaryBeth) arrived promptly and was clearly a pro. She asked all the appropriate questions before we left (things I hadn't even thought to mention!) and kept copious notes. I was very impressed and would highly recommend the service.
