We stayed in a house in the area and found this to be a great place to have a pint and grab…read moresomething to eat. It is a traditional pub, so go in there with that in mind, you can sometimes wait for your food, but they always warned us of the wait in advance. The food is pretty good and there is a good variety to choose from. Couple of different burgers, ribs, chicken fajitas (which we particularly liked), fish and chips plus more, as well as daily specials. A number of different beers, from a variety of ales or other imports. Like any pub the service varies from day to day, but overall we found the people friendly and eager to make sure we were happy.
Price was pretty reasonable, we usually paid about 100 pounds with five mains and a couple of rounds of drinks (mainly pints of beer) and considering the location on the beach, we paid more elsewhere had less choice. It's full of families and is generally very noisy, which is exactly what I expect of a good pub atmosphere.
So if you are looking for a relaxing, family friendly place to eat, and are looking for a traditional pub experience, this is a nice place to stop.
