Today I went to the Ross in Buford the line was extremely long. There were only 2 cashiers. There was a store manager named Arthur doing some things in the front. A woman walked up to him and said she needed to be checked out and couldn't wait and he checked her out while others stood in the long line. I don't feel like that is fair. I don't feel like that was good customer service to the people who stood in the line patiently waiting, everyone had somewhere to go. Not just that one woman, when I confronted him about it, he said, well, she had an appointment, we all had somewhere to go. He needs to be told what customer service is. You can find some items at a good price here, but the store itself is absolutely filthy! I went to the bathroom and immediately came out and had to say something. It was extremely stinky with toilet paper all over the floor. Decided not to use it and just try on my clothes and the fitting rooms are even more filthy!! I couldn't believe it.. brown funk and sticks all over the walls. This place has really gone downhill. Not to mention right now there are at least 30+ people waiting to check out. Out of the 7 registers they have, only 2 of them are open. Super disappointed. read more

Do not visit this store if you value your time. I walked in line for nearly 40 minutes on a Friday afternoon when they had ONLY ONE cashier. Another store clerk was present but she sat behind the counter emptying hangers and sensors when the line literally was to the BACK of the store. I really hoped someone from management could explain this to me but no.. apparently they just don't care about their customers. I won't be back!! read more

very unpleasant shopping experience. waited in line for 40 minutes to pay for merchandise. Employees walking around doing nothing meanwhile. There was a total of 6 cashier spots and only two working for the holidays. After 40 minutes, I asked out loud for another cashier to be opened and was told, when I requested consideration for the customers waiting in line, to bring the hangers to the front. these place, specifically, the Mall of Ga location, thinks costumers are doing them a favor for purchasing their merchandise, and I think it is absolutely the other way around. Do yourself a favor, and avoid going buying at this location. read more

i went in with my family looking to buy and a lady in the front with braids was very rude yelling at a customer not to leave with the buggy on top of that i heard her across the whole store wasn't even far from where she was that was very rude and unprofessional ridiculous never coming back. read more

The MOD Jacqui and the employee Anny were having an extremely unpleasant exchange in front of all of the customers which is the only reason why I know that Jacqui is the MOD.wherehe line was growing and a gentleman walked in to use the Amazon KIOSK and asked how it worked and they both immediately and rudely replied by saying we don't know the machine is just in here. Obviously there's a lack of leadership in this store and I 100% fault the regional and general managers,and corporate at large for the lack of cohesion and moral at this particular location. read more

All Ross stores are the worst for check out. the items good but always waiting over an hour to check. I have never seen more than 1 register open, even during holiday season. many times I have left from the line without checking out due to long wait. crossing Ross off my list of stores to shop. read more

I love Ross! They have most items Marshall's, TJ MAXX, Macy's & Belks have for way cheaper. I just moved and have been in & out of this particular location too many times to admit. Today I had PHENOMENAL customer service from a cashier named Brensley. Such a cute unique name too :) She did my return, I did some shopping and she also checked me out. She was cordial, sweet and helpful. During times like these pandemic times I know everyone has a short fuse but it was very refreshing to have pleasant interactions with this young lady. I didn't have my receipt, only the card I purchased it with, and she didn't belittle me due to this. I bought hangers which DO NOT fit in those bags and she was very apologetic and acknowledged the issue instead of throwing my items back at me and saying WE DONT HAVE BIG BAGS and rolling her eyes.lol (which happened at this location last week from another young cashier) Also, because I have worked in retail I know it can be challenging dealing with the public so I could not imagine in a time where people are living on the edge. When I shop at Ross, I know that the clothing, accessories, etc. that I'm buying are not top quality. They're either the "overstock" from department stores or items that did not pass the quality inspections because they have minor defects. However, I'm willing to overlook all that as long as I am double checking my purchases to ensure that whatever "problems" there are with them are not visible to the average eye. This Ross location is located super close to the Costco on Mall of Georgia Blvd., so it's convenient to walk over when I'm getting my tires serviced at Costco. The store in general is fairly neat, and I'm happy to say that the women's restroom - located right next to the fitting room area - is pretty clean, too! Yay for having toilet seat covers! Often times, I am able to find decent quality tops and accessories for less than $10 each at Ross. Sometimes, if I'm super lucky, I'll find a pair of shoes for less than $20 (which is super rare because my size - 5~5.5 - is hard to find in general)! Overall, Ross Dress for Less stores in general get 3.5 stars, but I'm rounding this store's rating up to 4 because of it's cleanliness and generally friendly staff. I like that it's located near the Mall of Georgia because if I'm looking for something in particular and can't find it at Ross first, I can easily drive across the street to the mall to look for it. ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT! There is not much to say regarding Ross. We all know that it sales women's clothing and greatly discounted prices. The reality is that you can actually find dollar store clothing right next to quality brands. You just have to really look, know your brands and always check the quality of the garments when you are unsure. I don't care, what you sell, your stock should not determine how you do or do not manage your store. Today, I found this store a little messy and when I went to the ladies room, I found the walls to be marked and really dirty. I didn't even wait to see the ladies room. I left and went to Stein Mart to use their facilities. I also noticed that the clothing instead of being placed on the racks was just jammed onto the end of the racks and blocked the mirrors. This made absolutely no sense because there was plenty of room to appropriately hang the garments. I noticed this throughout the store, even in the children's department. Overall, the store just needs deep cleaning, painting and general renovation as it is obviously very dated. I was very disappointed in this Ross today and I do hope that they take more pride in their store going forward. read more

I dread coming here, but unfortunately they're one of the few places that carry the cologne I wear. The lines here are always ridiculous they have 7 registers and only two are open, you should spend longer in line than it took for you to pick up your item.. Management here needs serous help. To add to insult they calls for a cash only line which causes confusion, 10 minutes later you hear the girl at the returns register tell a customer coming in the the store "We're only taking cash, our credit card machine is down" So said to the guy at the only other register open ; "So when were you going to share that with the other 20 people standing here?" Ross/Marshall corporation save your business and get someone in there that has some common sense. So I wasted 30 mins of my life, had to leave without what I came for, I refused to go back, I look else where online. read more

Don't be in a hurry coming to this store. 3 people (meaning employees around cash register area) having a conversation. The line is growing. I went straight to the front thinking in no time I'd be out of here with my couple items. Nope have to wait for the returns lady to deal with another customer then check me out. Extremely poor customer service at this location. I found the store manager, Adrian, to be very confrontational after asking about the policy at the store.
