I cant help but think about Rick Ross when I write this review. If you like Marshalls, you'll like Ross. You definitely have to plow through inventory but this location is very neat and clean. I always find some cool finds here. Especially the Empire State building wine bottle stopper I purchased. The shoe and clothing departments lack quality, however this might as well be Home Goods' protégé. If you need wall decor, chairs, wine glasses, throw pillows, THIS IS THE PLACE. For LESS! The amount of variety and quality items they have here is out of this world! I love coming here. read more

Ive been to a few Ross stores in the past and they were a lot bigger than the one in Jacksonville, NC. However, the town is small so I didnt expect a huge selection. To my surprise the store was bigger than I anticipated and I saw a lot of cute little items and handbags. The store reminds me of Marshalls but with a better layout and organization. I only bought some cute curtain rods for under $10 and I had priced some in NYC for $20 so I was super excited with my savings. I would definitely check this store out again when Im back in the Ville. read more

Omg! The things you can find in here are just fabulous! This location has never seemed to fail me when I've needed an outfit , shoes or just anything from decorations for the house, bedding, and more. They carry men's, women's and children's clothing as well as shoes. This location is clean inside and things are where they need to be this meaning not clutter everywhere. The employees have always been very professional and helpful if you need assistance. One thing I will make sure to note here is that they do have a restroom for customers only. Just in case you have a small child or you need to go yourself. You will however have to ask for the attendant to unlock it for you, but he/she is always in the back for the dressing room. The prices are decent and you'll find some serious name brand items here that you'd otherwise pay full price for. They also have a small area with toys and also pet items too! I personally purchase my pet's shampoo here which I'd normally pay to much for and here I can get it for 5.00 not bad!! :) It's the perfect place for getting gifts! read more

I went to go in to the store today and was turned away because I had a cup of water. I wouldn't of been so mad but the worker was so rude and the people ahead of me walked in with a nasty dog! Will never go back! read more

The staff was really attentive and helpful. As soon as I walked in I was asked if there was any help I needed. I picked up like 6 shirts and 5 slacks. At the fitting station I was helped tremendously I even accidentally left my keys and the person working there kept an eye on them and let me know exactly where they were when I came back. read more

Just as with Marshalls, this is a great store to just browse because you never know what you're going to find! I often come looking for one particular thing (this visit, a hanging wall shelf for my bathroom) and end up with something completely unexpected (a fancy dress). I LOVE IT! The staff is always nice and the prices are mostly good--you have to watch some of the things because they're not a great deal--though overall you'll save money. read more

Great deals and they're always getting new things in..that being said there is ALWAYS a line, it's awful. I've actually walked in, seen it and left. Most the time they only have have one person checking people out then have to page "xxx to your register please" every 5 minutes...so don't stop if you have anywhere to be. read more

If I could give this store negative 5 stars I would. The store manager (And I use this term very loosely) Debbie and the "acting" manager Jennifer are extremely disrespectful and rude. I understand policies are set in place for certain reasons. But when a customer doesn't understand the policies it is their job as a manager and to explain it. Not to walk away while the customer is still talking to you to have a cigarette. The "acting" manager Jennifer was also extremely rude when I asked if she could get a manager to assist me. I literally had to ask her if she was ignoring me because she too, walked away while I was asking her a question. This isnt the only time where I have had horrible customer service here. The managers there are poorly trained I can vow never to spend another dime in that store. Again, if there was a way to give this store negative stars I would. read more

The store is convenient to many other stores so that makes running errands easier. As Jennifer H. wrote, not everything is a great deal but most things are. I don't expect great customer service at discount stores such as Ross, but the last time I went there was much worse than normal. The young salesgirl who rang me up was snarky. Their fitting rooms needed maintenance, and there was even a hole in the wall of one of the dressing rooms I was in. The young woman working at the fitting rooms would not ask anyone to get me a different size (I figured it was worth asking, but didn't expect to get help.) I also had to keep getting fully dressed to go back out and exchange the clothes in my cart because customers can only bring in 8 items of clothing at a time. It would have saved me time if a fitting room attendant had let me swap out items from my cart without all of that. The latest shopping trip was even more unpleasant due to mothers who lacked parenting skills. Many of the children in the store needed to be brought home for a nap. There were children screaming, throwing hangars, etc., although I can't blame the children because it was clearly the fault of the mother's (lots of threats to leave the store but no follow-through, etc.) So I can't blame the staff for being cranky because it was an awful environment due to some of the customers. read more
