I told her it was glass and shouldn't be dumped in the bin (she told me no boxes allowed). She took the box out of the bin and dropped it on the cement at about 4' distance from the ground. I was furious and took my now broken glassware and put it back in my car and drove away. Who takes a box of glassware and purposely drops it? When you see a sharp uniform, it is a combination on how the wearer wears it and the fact that they went to Colston Alterations. Compare his work to the alterations on base (bless their hearts) and the difference is night and day, but it comes at a high price. For example the alterations to my uniform coat cost as much as coat itself, but it's the price to pay to look razor sharp in uniform.

My friends and I got to Los Alamos about a half hour early for lunch at Bell's. The shop was very cute, a small white standalone house stocked wall to wall with nice home goods. There was one woman working there, and she was friendly and welcoming. We had fun looking at all the unique, lovely things on offer. There were five of us, and I think we all bought something within a span of about fifteen minutes. I went home with two Christmas ornaments, one a ceramic knot made by a local artist, the other a wooden reindeer. Both were reasonably priced. Campover wouldn't feel out of place in Silver Lake or Venice, but it felt extra charming and special in Los Alamos. I'm glad we had time to kill before lunch, and I'll look for it next time I'm in the area.
