I have worked with victims as well as perpetrators. I have also worked with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, issues of desire, issues of identity, and all kinds of personal and relational concerns. Whatever issues you are dealing with, my role is to pay attention to you and to invite you to do the same. You speak. I listen and learn your language--the language that is particular to you and your story. Therapy then becomes a safe place for you to speak up and be heard, for you to be known and challenged. I find that when a client and I simply focus together on paying attention, we consistently discover unexpected truth and beauty--particularly within the parts of themselves that were previously discounted. This sparks joy. You can rediscover friendship with the self you were made to be.
