Simple request from a guest should be met....If a customer wants to talk to the GM or have their card deliver it to them no keep intervening with dispute resolution mechanisms. The rooms are tiny (you need to breathe in to get between the bed and the window) - and even though the architects have done their best with quirky art features, it still feels small and plastic and cheap. That said, it was cheap - at $110 a night inc breakfast it was really good value - and the staff were super friendly and efficient. I would stay there again in Bendigo.

The towels rolled on the bed were also warm since they had put the electric blanket on. The room was excellently clean. Soap and shampoo on tap in shower (hadn't seen it in liquid form before - one normally gets it in small bars) Also liquid soap over vanity with tissues and hair dryer. Great overall feel of room. Toast, kettle and tea/coffee items and fridge. The staff were happy to give us an extra free Pura cold bottled milk when asked. Gave us more discount on cost we were told by Tourist Info centre. We were there in August of this year. Would certainly stay here and highly recommend. Not a usual budget motel. :)

One of the reasons that will you returning again and again is the owner. She is absolutely delightful. Makes you feel welcome. Follows up with you. Keeps the room fresh and clean. She then proceeded to tell me about the photos on the wall which showed the pub how it looked in the past, and also told me that there used to be a lady's lounge (at which point one of the old guys blurted out that ladies don't come to the pub anymore). There was a beer garden out the back, but it seemed to be more like a back garden with some tables thrown around, not that it was bad per se, it was just a lot more homely.
