This church was built back in the mid 1800's and is pretty much still the same. This church has the…read moreoriginal benches, wooden floors, and even wood burning heaters since there is no electricity. The service begins at 8 am every Sunday morning and lasts about an hour. We enjoy beginning our morning with worship in this quaint little church. The members are very friendly and welcoming. It's a very simple service beginning with prayers for one another, some singing, and then a sermon.

I'm praying for the worship team as it is not up to my expectations for churches this large and I e been around excellent worship many years. I'm also aware how difficult it is for appropriate transition when churches grow larger and many new people with experienced expectations show up and the band and sound grew hasn't grown in talent and experience along with the pastor and larger crowd. Pastor Mark is the draw that overcomes my hesitation for attending Vrs just watching my DFW church online. Honestly, it's the music isn't better anywhere else in this area that I've found. So, you definitely want to come. I love that Jesus and His truth is taught. It's a spirit filled church and that's important.

A basic, down-to-earth non-pretentious church, accepting and very nice, not a formal dress code, all walks of life, very caring of the entire city as evidenced by their events such as soccer and fall festival that draw folks from all over town. Parking is easy, the main parking is away from 155, the secondary parking lot is on 155. Several entrances but everyone you meet is helpful if you're looking for 9:30 Sunday class rooms for each of the age groups. Sunday night and Wednesday nights are terrific too.
