I called and enquired about my daughter's Schengen visa to Paris with our planned travel date (which was earlier than the Schengen travel). Everything sounded professional and organised (which is why I chose them over others who were 20-30 cheaper overall). However, when the process actually started Nexus was a nightmare! Pros: Submitting documents was easy with their very well-presented checklist. Appointment was given on the projected date and very promptly and efficiently. Cons: The employment letter we provided had some inaccuracies which was NOT spotted by Nexus, a revision was sent but never acknowledged. Rude language with the word 'please' unknown to the people I spoke to (a lady, and a male staff called Mark). 'Just listen' and 'I told you' etc were their common language. Overall, a dreadful service provider with either no communication or contradictory information. Too quick to keep repeating how they are not responsible and cannot do anything else. I ask nexus to spend half as much time to see how they can assist or provide the service they have taken money for. It took us too many phone calls to make them understand that there seems to be a problem somewhere and our second travel to Schenghen may be at risk. As a result, they were late to ask us to contact Embassy directly. They were getting really angry and unwilling to accept any responsibility when I told them they were not providing the support they are supposed to. As a person who has travelled several times in the past to Schengen, I did get a 2 year ME visa, but it was way too stressful to deal with this crowd - and paying for this extra loop that the French Embassy has imposed on people which is an absolute shame of a money making venture.

Town Car Service
This is a great service. I used it at London/Heathrow to move a bag to my hotel in London. This…read moreallowed me to have a day knocking around the city on foot without worrying about having to check in at my hotel right away. The bag arrived at the hotel when promised, and the AirPortr staff was attentive and helpful. But I'm knocking off one star for a small glitch. I booked this service off an email link provided to me by British Airways. I failed to notice that the email link automatically booked the service on the day of my flight, rather than the day of my arrival. This is an issue for people headed to Europe from North America, who typically travel overnight. My flight left on the evening of Jan. 13, and arrived in London on the morning of Jan. 14. But the email link set up by British Airways automatically booked me for baggage delivery on the 13th. Realizing my mistake, I reached out by email to fix things the morning of the 13th, about 14 hours before my flight departed. But AirPortr was a bit slow on the uptake here. Even though I'd alerted AirPortr to the problem via email, the company's staff called me twice later in the morning to check why I was delayed. I took several more emails to fix things. So the glitch could have been prevented by providing a proper sign up link, and by noticing that I had alerted the company to this problem via email before I got a pair of phone calls. But once things were straightened out the service was smooth and I was pleased to have a luggage-free day in London. I'd definitely use AirPortr again.

We arranged to have our bags delivered between 3:00 and 4:00pm but they never showed up. After several stressful phone calls and sporadic updates, our bags were finally delivered. And to make matters worse, the delivery driver got lost. I've never been to London before yet I was able to give him directions to our flat. Do yourself a favor, avoid the stress and use a different company.

That was okay. At 30 minutes after the expected pickup time, I could see he was still 30 minutes away and had not communicated to us. We had to call in order to find out he had a flat tire. As we were loading up the van, he was adding air to a spare tube tire. He didn't tell us he was on a tube, which is dangerous. If it loses pressure you can lose control of the car. Umbrella Transfers should have sent a different car or suggested we find a different mode of transportation. When I contacted Umbrella they refused to take any accountability whatsoever or acknowledge the dangerous situation we were put in. And in fact they made it sound like the driver was so nice to cancel another drive so he could "get us there safely".

Following the Thames Path west or east will provide another view - at times picturesque - of London Town. The buildings diminish in size and number and the green spaces grow increasingly large, while the sounds of the city fade into the distance. We bought our tickets about 3 days in advance, showed up on time and waited about 20 minutes after our time was supposed to start. When the bus finally showed up, they told us that they were running behind, so we weren't on the list. "Luckily," they were able to squeeze us in, or I think we would have had to wait another whole hour. They don't have any sort of queue system, so everyone just waits on the sidewalk and then rushes the bus when it arrives with no organization whatsoever. I believe tickets were about $60 USD, which seemed like a lot to me, so I figured it must be great. I wish I would've read more reviews beforehand because it's just super corny, and you can't see anything they are pointing out if you're seated on the from the lower part of the bus. Eventually, they have you close the window shades and participate in a mock séance. Our host was good, I suppose, but, again, just really corny.
