We came here and had a very fun, if expensive, day. This place has a very heavy Japanese influence with lots of claw games and some Japanese video games, lots of anime characters, and even Japanese food in a snack bar. There are billiards, and a bowling alley, Japanese karaoke, and spo-cha, an indoor sports area. There is a snack bar and a cocktail bar. It's definitely loud and flashy, with flashing lights everywhere. It felt like a gamble-free casino. We did an hour of bowling before having lunch. We were there at opening, so there was only one other lane being used. We are not regular bowlers, but we had a great time. For 1 hour of bowling and two shoe rentals it cost $42 ish dollars. We grab lunch about 11:30. We weren't able to get cocktails as the bar doesn't open until noon. We ordered a teriyaki burger, tater tots, gyoza, and a pepperoni pizza. The gyoza was really good, but the rest was your standard bowling alley/arcade fast food. We bought two $25 play cards. Different games and machines costs a certain amount of credits. We ran through those cards pretty quickly and refilled once. Some of those new Japanese video games are really fun! Cons: the cost adds up very quickly at this place. Be prepared to drop some money. Also our food experience wasn't great. I asked for a water cup and was told they're not allowed to give out water cups because there's a water fountain near the entrance. Water fountains gross me out. It wasn't like we hadn't spent almost $50 on food and my son did buy a soda. I really don't think it's too much to ask for a cup for water to drink while you eat. Also they called our number and we went to pick up the food they realized they never prepared the burger we ordered. So we got all of our food except the burger and had to wait for that. At the last minute they let us know that they were out of lettuce which was supposed to be on the burger. Wasn't a big deal but it would be nice to have what we ordered. Pros: this place is really fun. Although you will drop a dime or two, the payoff is big. It looked like almost everybody had gotten something from the claw machines. I only tried it once and didn't get anything, but we left with two large plushies, a medium plushie, a small plushie, and a sanrio lanyard. We also got enough tickets to get my son a Pop Killer brand t-shirt. We've ordered from PopKiller before, and those T-shirts are $32 each. So in the end, It kind of balanced itself out. read more

What we got instead was a masterclass in how to ruin a loyal customer's experience through petty power trips and shady tactics. First night in? Fantastic. I dropped $120, armed with my season pass card, and my sixteen-year-old son -- a dedicated baseball player -- found a game called Down the Clown. He figured out how to win it every time, putting his focus and skills to good use. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. They stood by, ready to swipe their employee cards if the machines needed resetting. They were friendly, helpful, and seemed genuinely happy to see people enjoying themselves. Fast forward to tonight -- another $120 spent -- and suddenly my son was treated like a criminal for being good at the game. A high-and-mighty supervisor parked himself next to him, clearly bothered that a teenager was winning fair and square. While my son was playing one of two side-by-side machines, the supervisor sneakily tossed balls back in for the other one, messing with the timer we'd let run out. When the machine needed an employee swipe to award tickets (standard procedure the night before), he flat-out refused, saying he wouldn't swipe until it "showed the total number of tickets owed," which can take 10-20 minutes. He seriously expected my kid to just stand there doing nothing -- while the night before, staff checked in every five minutes to keep things moving. It gets worse. When we left to find someone else to help, we came back to discover 75% of the balls had mysteriously vanished. Another manager up front admitted she saw the supervisor himself carrying an armful of balls into the office! And then, insult to injury, they spun some nonsense story about how Down the Clown is "only supposed to have seven balls," as if we hadn't played the exact same machines the night before with no issue. Here's the truth: Round1 is apparently fine with taking your money as long as you don't win too much -- especially if you're a kid who's actually good at the games. Once you do, they'll treat you like you're cheating, waste your time, and pull cheap tricks to shut you down -- instead of just being upfront about any limits or rules (if they even exist). Save your money. Spend it at an arcade that knows how to treat paying customers -- and kids -- with respect. Round1 clearly doesn't. read more

Round 1 is hands down one of the most unprofessional, disorganized, and downright disrespectful establishments I've ever stepped foot in. The staff have no idea what they're doing, the communication is a joke, and the attitude? Nasty. It feels like everyone is on a different page and somehow all the pages are wrong. Instead of creating a fun, welcoming environment, the employees seem more interested in power-tripping, lying, and picking and choosing who they want to hassle. The inconsistency is unbelievable, one person says one thing, the next person says the opposite, and somehow you end up being blamed for their incompetence. Security and management? Even worse. They escalate situations they caused, talk down to paying customers, and carry themselves like they're running a high-security facility instead of an arcade. The energy is hostile, unwelcoming, and completely unnecessary. If you're looking for a fun, stress-free night out, go literally anywhere else. Round 1 needs a complete overhaul, new training, new leadership, and maybe a reminder that customers are actual human beings. Save your money. Save your time. Save your sanity. read more

We had our 20 year old nephew in town so what did we do?! We bowled. Competition and Angry Birds style were our jam this Thursday night and we had more fun than we anticipated. What we expected was to wait for an hour, have little kids underfoot and bowl a game and then head home, but the bowling portion was clean and staff was helpful in getting us all set up quickly. Two hours later we made plans to return. Weekends have more of a wait, so we suggest planning accordingly, but the mall is connected so you can walk around and kill time if you need to. This is one heck of an arcade and entertainment venue. This is located in the old Forever21 space. My hopes for the old, ugly, and dirty Forever21 to be transformed into something beautiful came true! It definitely brought back some childhood nostalgia for hubby and I as we spent a lot of time in arcades growing up. This is way more advanced and high tech than what we experienced as children for sure! Our first visit was yesterday, the 25th, as a family. Our kiddos, ages 12 and 8, thought they were in heaven. We adults also enjoyed our time for the most part. Here are some of the biggest pros and cons on why I rated this 3 stars. Pros: - Who doesn't love arcades?? Round1 is by far the nicest and advanced arcade I've ever visited. - Extremely generous business hours, 10AM to 2AM next day. Open everyday, including holidays. How insane is that?? - Serves alcohol! I believe it's beer only but still! Cons: - Very expensive. For our first visit, we spent our time in the arcade only. If you want to be able to play a decent amount of games, I feel that you will need to spend $25 minimum on a game card. I feel that many of the games have too high of a credit requirement to play and drained the card balance at a rapid rate. I spent $35 per game card for each adult in my group and still felt it ran out too fast. The kids were gifted a $120 card by my sister earlier in the month and that lasted about 2 hours between my 2 kids sharing. I really can't believe how much money was spent here on GAMES ONLY! Add in food and whatever extras, I feel that you can spend a paycheck here easily going with a family of 4 or more. - I didn't find out until after we came home that the A/C at Round1 was out. It was ungodly warm and I couldn't understand why. I started to develop a headache, breathing more heavily, and sweating profusely from just sitting and standing after about an hour. You would think I was upstairs jumping on the trampolines or something but nope. I couldn't wait to leave towards the end as I felt like I was going to pass out. I'm disappointed with the staff and leadership here for potentially putting their guests in harms way. Conclusion: We would return and have plans to do so. I hope that the A/C is fixed by then lol. Now that we got to fully experience the arcade, we can plan better to maximize our chances of earning the most tickets and prizes. I am open to experiencing the other parts of Round1 but the prices really make it difficult to try it out any time soon. read more

We decided to come here for bowling. First off, nobody knows what is going on and it feels like a bunch of robots are working. They charge for "VIP" lanes, which are the first 4 out of 8 lanes. If you don't pay the extra fee, you have to wait for lanes 4-8 to open. Nobody paid for VIP so we were all crammed into the 4 lanes, instead of spreading us out. Make that make sense. The AC was broken, with no warning, in the middle of summer. We bought some drinks but asked for a pitcher of water...they charged us $10!!!! I don't agree with paying for TAP WATER in general but definitely not when they can't provide air conditioning. Safe to say this place is very weird and an absolute rip off. read more

My nephew LOVES claw machines and he had an absolute blast using these here. However the price per machine is outrageous. At first we got him $70 worth of credits but it lasted him maybe 40ish minutes. On top of that the larger claw machines are difficult and kinda sketchy when you actually grab something but drop it on the way to the prize door. Aside from that, he did accumulate a good amount of tickets and grabbed some pretty decent prizes in their prize store. The pizza was pretty good also. It was a fun experience for my brothers 28th birthday, however after spending $130 to play, the customer service was pretty awful. My brothers fiancé and I were very excited to grab the hello kitty lanyards, Zarco was working the counter and literally did not speak a single word to us during the interaction. After that, we had a 45 min wait for one (1) shake em fry bag and there was no one else in the food line. The general vibe was fine and the claw machines are cool, but not too much of a chance to make a lot of tickets. After we wrapped up and headed to the prize counter, it took another 45 minutes to get our prizes, I had waited 20 mins additionally just to ask the price of a mini Dino plush, Zarco "looked it up" in the system, but he just guessed (another worker confirmed) and told me the prize was 240, it then took 2 managers, a worker, and messaging Zarco on the headset to try and figure it out. They said the price was actually 1400, because where I said I found it, and the tag for 1400 clearly said it was for a lady bug plush. I was totally fine with accepting I wouldn't get the Dino. But they were pretty mean about it even when I said it was okay and we could put it back even though the ticket said the lady bug was 1400. read more

Our first and not last time coming to the R1 in Arrowhead, the price is the same anywhere you go for the R1 franchise, I'd say the amount of prizes we got was pretty equivalent to the amount we spent for credits. The workers were very nice & shown great spirit! The workers helped & was patient with us when it came to fixing the machines or coming to get our prize out for us, (lowkey felt like we were annoying because we kept grabbing them ) but they were so nice & giving us tips how to win... definitely will be coming back with friends :) read more

Was with the family traveling in the area (helping a friend look for investment properties) and heard about the Round 1 that was located nearby. We had been to Japan and loved the Round 1 there so we were excited to visit here. I would say the inside looked different than the Round 1 in Japan, and even though the facility was relatively new based on my understanding it looked a little worse for the wear. The claw machines were definitely reminiscent of the ones we saw in Japan but the prizes themselves were less enticing (I don't recall a single Pokémon plush etc). They did have the claw push machines but they were setup in such a way that made them essentially impossible to win, and the other claw machines themselves had claws with voltages set pretty low and win rates that were pretty low. I also noticed that the amount of credits associated with each play (14 credits) was relatively high given the location and the type of plushies. I would say if you're in the area to try them out but definitely wouldn't go out of my way to visit again unless the credits per machine was reduced or the win rate/voltages were set higher. I blew through $50 worth of credits REALLY fast due to the high credit requirements per try. read more

I mainly played the claw machine games where we were helped by the Department Manager Long Van(I hope the last name is right it was loud LOL)! He helped us win some of the prizes by directing us and giving us another chance after many failed attempts. I was very grateful when he helped me win my blue dinosaur! Will be coming back again! Took my grandchildren visiting from Washington because they wanted to go some place with trampolines. They give you little pink socks that are a size of a 5yr old kid and say everyone has to wear these socks but don't have any other sizes. Trampolines are maybe ok for toddlers but not much else. Me and my husband are over 70 years old there to only watch our grandchildren but had to pay to enter. My husband had to exit to go to car for something and once you leave you can't get back in. I swear some people complain for the sake of complaining. This place is GREAT. I have highly recommended it to everyone I know. I've been a few times now and will continue to go. They just opened recently so it'll take some time for them to get into the swing of things. Last time I went I ordered chicken tenders and tots. Took them an hour to get them to me but I understand how swamped they are and they might not have the staff capacity to be efficient quite yet. Better skill claw odds at a traveling carnival. Got the $110 game card and left with nothing. Literally every skill claw would pick up a prize/plush and drop it every time. They make you think you have better odds by only having one plush/prize at every machine (claw won't get tangled/hung up on multiple prizes) but the claw will drop it every time, even though it is clearly grabbed. read more

I waited about 30 minutes waiting for TWO managers to help me out with prices. In the midst of me getting assistance my buddy tells me our food was stolen. If employees can't ensure that people are getting their food and telling us to basically F off. After we were finally able to start 'having fun' it had already been an hour. When we want to go to the spo cha place some of my buddies weren't 21 or older. Which is a crazy rule considering the things we wanted to do had zero alcohol. Which would have been avoided if we had been able to start at a reasonable time. Only thing that doesn't make this a 1 star is the fact that the employees were very understanding and gave us alternatives and replacements for food that was either stolen or unattainable AFTER payment.
