Can't give it 5 stars because it is not dog friendly but I do love an easy beach day. There is a place to rent chairs and umbrellas, a little grill that you can get cocktails and bar food. The water is clear and beautiful. It was nice to not have to track all the beach equipment and just rent it right there

Great beach! You have to go down a bill hill to get down but you can basically drive any car. I believe parking is about $10 bucks. It gets VERY busy here during summer so definitely get here early! There is lots of spots to sit on the beach tho and it's a beautiful spot. There's boats and kayaking around here even with a boat ramp. They also have rentals too! They have a drink bar which is a plus and the famous pain killer which is amazing. Definitely a great beach for friends and family

It is a good beach....very close to where we stay in South Lake Tahoe. We got there early, and did pay for parking, after all, we move in for the day, and don't want to carry our stuff from the road. It was clean, and fun for the kids. For me the boats were a bit encroaching, and the water was a bit to deep too fast (water doesn't warm up much here). A great spot for acquiring that *beach front property* you have always wanted!!

Such an awesome and family friendly beach. We use to prefer zephyr cove but now that we have discovered round hill we will always be going there. You can rent water fun and you can have food and drinks without having to go far! We love this beach!

COLD WATER, HOT BEACH The sand wasn't the only thing smokin' hot at this beach on Lake Tahoe. There were some good looking men and women walking around! Awww, yes. How I do love summer! Tan bodies wrapped in tiny bikinis. Muscles in action with beach volleyball. Yes, there was lots to look at! The timeshare resort gave us parking passes for the beach. Parking was otherwise $8 and there wasn't a ton available when we arrived. Our carpool (husband was driving) found a spot that we mostly wedged into. We ran back to the car not long after to move it to the very furthest spot in the lot, which happened to be right where we ultimately parked our towels. There are BBQs on the beach, and tables with shade coverings. There are clean restroom facilities and a place to eat. And a TON of people! There weren't a lot of big, open spaces for the large group we were expecting. We went to sit in front of H2O Sports (they rent the kayaks and paddleboards), and I decided to ask a girl working if this was an okay spot. After settling in, a guy politely told us we couldn't be there. I said I had cleared it with the girl working and she lied to my face and said she "would never say something like that". Her words in fact had been that we can sit there but we should expect "a lot of food traffic". The spot at the end of the beach ended up being a nicer and larger one so it all worked out. Make sure to bring some sunscreen, but there are lots of trees just off the beach so shade can be found even if you don't arrive early enough to get a seat at a table. Zephyr Cove is a great spot in Tahoe, but it was definitely crowded. If you're staying at a hotel, be sure to ask about parking vouchers. We know the Blue Jay Lodge (near Harrah's/Harvey's) gives out beach passes. It's likely you can get in to a beach for free, or at least get your parking comped.

Been coming here for decades, love the improvements over the years. Peddle boats could use some TLC as the seat backs are iffy when an adult is in them. Every employee I've interacted with has always had a smile on their face and helpful. The food is delicious and generously portioned. See you next summer!

Great beach for families! We arrived to a full parking lot but were directed to another area reserved for excess parking. There was a shuttle available at this location that took us down the hill directly to the beach. This was so convenient especially with our little ones and all our beach supplies. We were able to rent an umbrella and quickly find a perfect spot to settle down for the day. We were also given a flag to alert the wait staff when we needed food/drink service. How perfect is that? bathrooms were also nearby and very clean. All around great location for relaxing day in the sun! Def recommend!

Beautiful beach! From the clear blue water to the beautiful scenery with the mountains in the background. Love that they have a tiki bar on the beach also. Definitely a beach to come to every time we're in town

Boooo Crappy Bartender who has no incentive to be kind. It's so mobbed there it's him or nothing.

The ambiance is old world Swiss/Tyrolean. There's a nice sense of privacy with the units spaced so you don't feel crammed together. All downstairs units have their own dog runs easily accessible through doggy doors, and come to think of it I rarely heard other people's dogs. Real stone fireplaces too. It's located an easy 5 minutes from Stateline, has nearby restaurants and a Safeway, but is also just far enough away from the congestion of South Lake Tahoe to have you believing the Ponderosa must be just around the corner. This is the sort of place that has great character, is perfect for pets and families, and people end up coming back again and again.

Other than that unfortunately I did not enjoy my stay. The "cabin" I stayed in was dusty, dingy and creepy. There was a photo of two little kids holding hands in the bathroom and it was filthy. The paintings in the bedroom were creepy and the lock on the water heater closet was also unsettling. Furthermore, the guest in the room above me was stomping around and creeking the entire time I was there making me uncomfortable and I could not sleep at all. The entire set up is very strange and if some redecorating and perhaps cleaning were arranged it would be a nice place to stay. It's unfortunate because I had considered renting for the month. I cleaned the shit out of the cabin I stayed in and honestly I feel like they should have paid me to stay there.

Just book it, especially if you have fur babies!…read more My husband and I live in Reno and wanted to book an anniversary trip to Tahoe that we could take our senior Weimaraners. We also have a friend who is a photographer and we haven't had professional photos taken since our wedding 18 years ago so we thought The Landing would be the perfect place since they host weddings here and it's right next to the beach. There are so many excellent parts to mention but I will start with the staff. From the moment we walked in, everyone was so friendly and welcoming to us and our dog. Our 15 year old had just passed and so our 12 year old was a little lost and loved all of the attention. She was treated just like one of the family. They even allow dogs on the free shuttle which is so perfect so we were able to go into the village and have lunch with her. It's a downhill walk back and so pretty, so we enjoyed the fresh air back. They upgraded our room and the views of the lake were perfect. It was so easy taking Juno out for potty breaks. It was extremely quiet and clean. The heated floors and toilets are a nice touch. We had dinner one night in the restaurant and it is the best meal I've had in Tahoe. The Venison is unbelievably tender and flavorful. My husband loved his homemade pasta with huge prawns. Our server, Kevin, went above and beyond to make the night special. They even let us take a few pictures in the bar area which I think turned out really cool with all of the bottles and colors in the background. Of course we all come for Tahoe! This place is right on a perfect spot. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, some trees and grassy areas also made for perfect pictures. We were there right at the start of Memorial Day weekend so it was extremely quiet and peaceful. I'm sure it will get busy in the height of summer but even then being able to walk across the street from your room makes it so convenient. We want to thank everyone at The Landing for a perfect trip! We can't wait to do it again!

All the included amenities make The Landing stand out! One of our drivers, Benjamin had great energy and suggestions! Loved the free shuttle drives to everything nearby within a 2mi radius. Amazing location. Everything is within a walking distance. We had a partial lake view room with a balcony and fireplace. Our room was spacious and beds were super comfy! There's a mini fridge and Lavazza espresso machine and coffee pods. Heated bathroom floors, heated toilet seats, great shower pressure, and a bathtub with jets. Loved the touch with bath robes and slippers! They also have a rooftop bar with a direct view of the lake. One of the nights, there was a wedding and it was closed to hotel guests. The next day around 5:30pm there was live music- the duo was singing covers and taking requests. They were amazing! There was also complimentary charcuterie. Definitely a perfect spot to watch the sunset. Here are some other noteworthy amenities during our stay: Complimentary champagne from 3pm-10pm. Smores kits 6pm-10pm. Coffee, hot cocoa, tea, fresh apples in the lobby- and the best water from Tahoe. Free daily admission to the private Lakeside Beach. Heated pool and Jacuzzi. Fire pits. Even after we checked out, beach admission, parking and shuttle drives are still included for the whole day. Onsite restaurant, formerly known as Jimmy's which we didn't try. We stayed for a couple nights and wished we could stay longer. It was a stay that made us not want to leave the room and hotel! It was a perfect getaway and we can't wait to return for many more firsts together.

Bar and drinks: 5/5 stars!! The bar staff were kind and fast. The mango mojito was sweet and minty. The on tap beer was crisp and cold. The Moscow mule had strong ginger flavor and was bubbly. The blood orange margarita was so unique. It was sour and tangy, so good! Waiter: 5/5 Kelly was so great! He visited the table frequently, had our waters filled, and offered a special birthday dessert since we were celebrating a birthday. He really turned the experience around! He made polite conversation and honestly took an interest in hosting us at the Chart House :) Service 2/5: Unfortunately, the front hostess drop the score. Originally, she had said there were no tables open besides reservations and we could not wait at the bar in case a table opened. There were two of us at the time and she said there was no room at the bar right now. Another hostess came up right away and she said she would look if there was room. We were able to wait at the bar until our reserved time. At about 10 minutes after our reserved time to be seated, with no text message, I went and asked about our table. The first hostess we talked to had given our reserved table to a different group! The other hostess rushed to get a table (originally set for four) to be bussed and set for our group of five. We were seated 30+ minutes after our reservation time.

He discussed the weather and even asked all of us for our car keys while he plowed the driveway so we can leave much easier to leave for the next-day departure. Can you believe that he moved all 10 cars and plowed the driveway all by himself? OMG, bless his heart! After Josh left, my group advised me that Josh is a wonderful guy that comes throughout our visit to check in with us. I was so touched by the personal touch. This property, as well as Josh, deserves MORE than 5 stars! Yelp, we really have to work on expanding the 5 stars (emoji: smiles). I definitely would recommend staying at this property.
