UHauls were all booked around that time, so you're amazing realtors collected more money from me letting me know they had a friend who does dump runs. I threw away my entire home including belongings of my children which lets say took me forever to replace. This woman is dishonest, a manipulator and do not recommend her to to cover your case. This office produced lots of extra unnecessary work for themselves to make a good business out of my case. They triple charged me with bills that shows they work on my case 75 hours per week! I experienced lots of harassment and bullying from them to pay their account. She breached our payment plan agreement and put unbearable financial pressure on in the time of venerability.

I still do not understand how we racked up almost $15k in legal fees with the majority of their work being emails sent to the defendant. Months would go by without any updates being given to us. We would have to contact the associate ourselves every time only to be told that they 'didn't know.' Hindsight - could have gone with a local, more affordable firm and gotten the (lack of) results that we got with this firm.

In addition, Maxwell failed to initially identify that my severance package violated the Employment Standards Act, 2000. I only discovered this myself after researching online three months later. He also neglected to inform me for two months that he had received the Statement of Defense. Despite these oversights, I was still billed for the time spent communicating with him about these mistakes. My case dragged on for over 21 months to reach a settlement. For the first 15 months, I diligently paid every invoice by credit card, as per the agreement. However, Maxwell later imposed an additional processing fee for credit card payments, which was never mentioned upfront. Maxwell charges an hourly rate for his services, and from the moment I signed the agreement, I felt less like a client and more like an ATM.

i was directed to mark grossmen by legal aid ontario and spoke with him on the phone on a Friday…read moreafternoon. he asked me to send over my case. so i did, i got back in contact with him for a consultation Monday and it was scheduled for Wednesday. well come the consultation it turned out he never reviewed my case by no means, was clouded by opposing lawyers party and decided to infactuate himself on a part of the case that was deemed irrelevant. so needless to say he asked for 10k up front and me being a concrete finisher on unemployment for another month or 2 said that was the best he can do. that was just for him to "start" a case that i have been self represented in for 3 years. i would be better off using the 10k to enroll in law school then be represented by him. i wish i looked on here first because i never would have wasted the 3 days waiting for the consultation. i also feel like i spoke with a different lawyer at first because they seemed much more in depth to the case that involved fraud.
