Super fun stop if you are into classic cars or just want to take a break and see some truly beautifully rebuilt classics. We enjoyed walking the aisles and seeing the classics at their best. There were so many (like the Buiks) that I had never heard of, but loved! Tons of Chevys of all kinds in here. We are a Ford family so I wished there were a few more of those, but I got a few in and it was fun! $5 entry, lots of parking. Nice stop to stretch your legs and see some history. read more

This is a really cool stop on route 66. The owner has a ton of vehicles in here from all different years. They're classic cars that are well taken care of. Lots of cool retro stuff to check out. You can get in and out of here in about 15 to 30 minutes depending on how much time you spend at each vehicle. I could've swore. I saw a sign that said free but I think the entrance fee was only like five dollars so it wasn't a big deal. Definitely worth the five dollars. If you want to break up the long drive and stop for a bit and walk I suggest you stop in and check out all these really cool vehicles. Some of them are for sale. Cute little museum off historic route 66. Around 30 older fancy cars in the museum with some other memorabilia as well to look at. Cost is $5 a person. We were in there around 30 minutes so not super long. Person working didnt seem super interested in chatting with us, looked like she had a friend visiting with her. On my most recent road trip drive from Roswell to Albuquerque, my husband had decided for us to make a stop at this small museum in Santa Rosa. This museum is a collection of privately owned cars that can be described as classics, vintage, etc. There are about 30 or so cars to look at. Some of these cars are also for sale and surprisingly most are kept in well condition. You will definitely see some hot rods with some cool designs, but also some much older cars as well. There are some cars and vehicles parked outside in their lot as well that are really interesting to look at too. In addition to cars, there are a lot of random car memorabilia like things you would expect to see in an auto shop. Admission is only $5 per person, which is pretty cheap and so we didn't mind paying. There is a small gift shop here that sells route 66 souvenirs and there is also a small eatery in here but I don't think they were open. To really look at everything, my husband and I were here almost an hour or so. To be honest, I wouldn't consider it worth a special trip to drive out here but my husband liked to break up road trips with roadside attractions (www.roadsideamerica.comis a great place to look up things to visit on your next road trip). read more

Cool museum. Small, but paced with memorabilia and 30-35 cars of various vintage. Bozo (owner and local car-guy legend) was there when we visited and he is a most interesting and engaging individual who is full of stories. This museum is a stop you don't want to miss if you're a fan of classic cars! Tons of classic trucks and cars from the 1930s and on, including a 1949 Ford Woody Station Wagon and a 1931 Auburn! Vintage memorabilia can be seen all across the museum, including many signs and other pieces of automotive decoration from the early 20th century. The couple that owns the museum were the most friendly people I've met, and were happy to talk about the collection and their work on their restoration projects. Stopping by was one of the best decisions I've ever made, and I will be looking forward to my next visit! read more

Nice, but not huge collection of cars, maybe 30, but with admission only being 5 dollars, I definitely think it's worth a stop if you are on the Route passing through Santa Rosa. Some unique cars I've never seen anywhere else. The Car Dozer out front! And a couple of unusual trucks inside. Nice gift shop as well, with some of the expected 66 type souvenirs as well as some more unique items that you don't see everywhere. read more

My husband absolutely loved this place! Our kids really enjoyed themselves too! Our youngest is 12 and still had a hard time keeping her hands off of the cars! She did, but it was hard!! She fell in love with her dad and my favorite car...65 mustang!! Now she wants one!! Our middle boy loves his photography and had a blast taking photos! This was our stop on route 66 that I wanted to hold off on purchasing our route 66 souvenirs and I was so right! Not that other places don't have good stuff and some of the same stuff too, but it felt right visiting the museum and purchasing our t-shirts, hoodies, magnet and a few other memorabilia! The woman who helped us was very nice! She let us take our time, filled us in on the town and her family history with the business!! Pretty sweet stop to make on our trip! read more

Best $5! Really neat collection. I was happy with just the idea of about 30 cars. However with the memorabilia and such made the deal sweeter. Plus there are bathrooms for customers, always a plus when you are on a road trip with littles. I am not sure if he was the owner but the gentleman that was at the "counter" (front end of a 57 Chevy lol) was very kind and patient. Especially with my littles that wanted to touch everything (a big no no in the collection world). All for supporting a little shop on the side of the old Route! read more

Paid the 5 bucks to go on the tour. Tons of gorgeous old cars to look at and photograph. This is definitely a fun stop through New Mexico! I did wish they had some more info on each car, its history and how it is important in the lexicon of our car culture from the famed history of Route 66. read more

It's a stretch calling this an auto museum. Lots of hotrods, a few really nice trucks. Seems more like a place to get a burger.

After visiting Russell's auto museum, I was not impressed with this location. There is a $5 adult admission fee

Road trip from LA to Ohio and back. Santa Rosa was an overnight stop. We'd hoped to see the Blue Hole but the weather didn't hold. As we ate at a local diner someone mentioned the 66 Auto Museum. $5 admission, 30+ cars ranging from hot rods to classics to muscle cars. Most are fully restored, some are even for sale. Spent an hour or so, took a ton of photos. Not much to do in Santa Rosa but worth stopping to see this! read more
