I used Yelp to search for boba places and found this place to try! First time here. When walking in, the place is a medium size shop that has a really cute and fun, aesthetically pleasing vibe. I love how fully decorated the place is, from having a wall of roses on the left to having miniature mirrors on the right. There was plenty of seating and the place was spacious. They have board games, such as giant uno cards and connect 4. They also sell miscellaneous items (keychains, jewelry, plushies) and packaged snacks. There was so much to see and explore! The staff was nice and friendly. The service was great, quick and easy! They were able to adjust the drink to my liking and double checked with me to make sure my order was correct. We got the Butterfly Pea Milk Tea and Brown Sugar Signature. 10/10 Butterfly Pea Milk Tea: I ordered with 50% sugar + ice with tapioca boba. It tasted like green milk tea. The butterfly pea tea changes the color of the drink to a pretty light blue. It was not too sweet, and it tasted super good! The best part was the soft and chewy boba. It was cooked perfectly. I'd definitely order this drink again with the same adjustments! 9/10 Brown Sugar Signature: This order was also 50% sugar + ice with tapioca boba. Similar to the other drink, the boba has a fantastic texture. Perfectly cooked. When taking a sip of this drink, for some reason it tasted like coffee to me when the drink has oolong and creamer salted cream. Not sure if it's the cream, but I was surprised! It's not bad at all, but I'm not a coffee drinker. I'd love to come back again! read more

My friend and I had a lovely time coming to Rove Boba Tea a couple weeks ago! We were so hot from being outdoors, and our cold drinks really hit the spot. The sweet gal behind the counter was friendly and attentive, and she made our drinks in a flash. The place is decorated with a fun and upbeat vibe, and there is a good amount of space to sit and hang out. I was craving something basic, so I ordered a mango tea boba at 50% sweetness. I don't have a sweet tooth, so I was very grateful that they allow you to customize your sweetness level. My friend ordered the oolong tea boba and was very pleased with theirs. I'm rarely up in Placerville (I came up to stay with my friend) but when I come back I'll definitely stop by again! read more

We walked in on a bright Sunday wanting boba and a snack and was immediately greeted and asked if we had a father with us (side note: it was Father's Day) and when we let them know we did, we were able to get a free lemonade to celebrate the dad! Once we walked in the ambiance of the place just felt so welcoming and spacious especially for a party of 6! The ambiance is nice and the employees were friendly enough, but my $6.25 taro milk tea doesn't taste like anything, and I was greeted with an unpleasant chunky substance at first sip. It's like they didn't add enough flavor, and the flavor they did add didn't get mixed in. Or they have very poor quality taro flavoring. Glad to finally get a decent boba shop in Placerville and they get extra brownie points for the beef banh mi which was pretty tasty. Of course we had to go back! Drove down from Pollock Pines looking for a place to hang out in the rain to get some remote work done and watch some downloaded Netflix shows. Logged in to their wifi. First off, I'm so happy to have a boba place in town that isn't so far away from me! Secondly, the atmosphere is so beautiful and charming down to the cloud lamps that hang above your head as you sip on delicious boba. Third, the drinks are amazing. The kind man who helped us explained what the specials are but also how to customize your own along with preferred sweetness. The guy punk white dude taking our order was also the one bringing out the food, and his attitude was honestly shocking. When we politely asked if we could switch coffee to Coke, he immediately said no in a loud, irritated tone, saying Coke costs more than coffee. For us, the price difference wasn't even an issue, it was the way he spoke to us that felt disrespectful. At one point, I was just looking toward the door, and he suddenly asked me, "What are you looking at?" in a loud voice, as if I was staring at him. It was uncomfortable and unnecessary, especially since it drew attention from everyone around. Despite the poor service, we still made the effort to clean up after ourselves, busing our plates and making sure the table was neat before leaving. To the owner of Thai Noodle Express, I hope you can train your staff on how to properly treat customers. Good service goes a long way. On top of everything, the Pad Thai did not taste authentic. They have an area in the back for photo op with plush toys. A variety of card games to keep us busy and entertained. The folks behind the counter and making the drinks are so nice and friendly. I have a feeling that this is a family business. The drinks were really good. I didn't get anything exciting - just my usual fruit tea. My son got the Halo Halo and it was delicious. It had ube ice cream, some sort of jelly, coconut flakes, and fruit on the bottom. It's like a meal in a cup. I was shocked that he can finish it. He said it was the best Halo Halo he ever had. It was the perfect way to spend an hour. Too bad this is so far from my house. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely come back to pick up Halo Halo for my son.

Both of them were in hog heaven, and didn't look up from their plates until only crumbs remained. All of that said, I'm not sure this is a remarkable donut shop so just expect the basics and expect those basics to be done well. This is the reason for three stars over four or five. It's not really an experience in the selection isn't anything truly truly unique. There's nothing really special to the shop though there is a cute little wall mural to snap some photos with. Parking is super simple in the large lot and there's a good amount of space inside if you do want to sit and enjoy your donut. Staff was super friendly and helpful too. It's clear this is a family run operation and they have a lot of regard for their customers. This is a great stop. If you wanna bring back a little treat to those at the hotel or house nearby. Who doesn't enjoy a doughnut?

This particular one is in Placerville, right on touristy Main Street. Well It's actually tucked in a shopping pedestrian alley right off Main Street. The coffee is delicious. I've had their various drip coffees before, all terrific tasting. My usual go to's are their lattes. This time I was in the mood for a seasonal winter drink, wintermint mocha. Yum! I ordered it with oat milk and they don't up charge. The mocha had a smooth, creamy chocolate espresso taste. I even got a pretty design of foamed milk on top of my drink. Aww it was cute. No up charge for that as well and I didn't even ask them to do it Outside the cafe is an outdoor courtyard with bistro tables for folks to sit n enjoy their coffee or whatever. I say whatever because the area is open for all to sit a spell. The courtyard is enclosed with brick buildings around its square perimeter. The buildings provide ample shade and cooling temps in the summer. Plus there is a water fountain that provides a calming zen like sound of trickling water. The cafe also has an indoor seating area.
