We suspected a propane leak on the first day of our RV outing after our sensor went off twice. We…read morecalled Ian because our friends had had a very positive experience with him last year. Even though he was thorough in his inspection, the source of the leak evaded him on that initial service call. He was totally perplexed and unsatisfied not to have found the leak. We were advised not to use the propane in the trailer until the issue was resolved. Undeterred, Ian was adamant that he was going to find the source of the leak, so he returned twice more, concerned for our safety, wanting to uphold his reputation, and save us a costly visit to the dealership. We were happy and relieved when the problem was finally identified and repaired - I don't think any other service person could have had better success at finding it sooner. Ian was very fair with what he charged us. He's personable and sincere. We will use his services again if need be.

That being said, my recommendation would be to only look at CVRV to see what is out there and go somewhere else, even the mainland, to purchase. In my experience, once you purchase the RV, they hope to never see you again, unless you are paying to upgrade or fix something out of pocket. I had a Maxxair fan installed 6 months after I purchased my RV. This comes with a 2 year warranty--that is ONLY if you are in the area. If you are out on your travels and something happens, you are sh*t out of luck. One and a half years after the fan was installed, it broke. I wound up at CHEMO RV in 150 mile house and they replaced my fan. I now have a 2 year warranty with them, NO MATTER WHERE I AM. If I am on a road trip, they will pay for any fixes if need be--they stand by their product and their reputation!! They were shocked that CVRV policy is to only deal with the RV's locally and they do not have a working relationship with other dealers (the CHEMO RV manager even called CVRV because he assumed I had not explained myself well enough or had misheard the information from CVRV). Additionally, CHEMO RV found out that Comox Valley RV initially installed the fan incorrectly and it was just beginning to leak. I guess it was lucky that the fan broke to prevent a major leak in my Class B RV. Buyer beware--I recommend going elsewhere. Kathy

Wish I had read these reviews prior to purchasing my 5th wheel. I have a similar story of Sunwest…read morenot standing by their product in 2022, especially used units. They definitely are not customer service oriented. But I was especially persistent (read...annoying as hell) with them, and they finally sent out a mobile rv guy, as the unit was located in a remote camp. They sold me an rv with a rusty hot water tank, and didn't care. I had to constantly nag them for service and assistance. These guys are brutal. I would not recommend this place at all.
