Unusually there is a limited display of stock but you then realise you are wonderously surrounded by a an endless wall of shoe boxes, containing, as it turns out, a superb range of footwear for men women and children. I was shown 8 different pairs of slippers, all complying with my general stipulations, requirments and in my size, which were effortlessly presented to me in such a way that choosing 2 differing pairs was soon accomplished. We left the shop singing the praises of both the owner and her staff.

Once you get upstairs you will need to take a ticket and wait your turn , while you are waiting you can have a wander round and have a look at the shoes. The sales assistants are fantastic with the kids , first of all they will measure their feet at the same time they are chatting to the child. They then ask what style of shoe you are looking for and will then go off and look for some shoes. When they come back they will try the shoes on the child and tell you if they think they are the right ones. The quality of the shoes is great , but the price of them isn`t , on average it costs me £28 for a pair of shoes for my son but they do last around 3 months longer sometimes if he hasn`t had a growth spurt.

There is an excellent selection of brands - the ranges they stock are top of the range - so expect to pay for this. There's a lovely evening collection at the back of the store, a nice selection of shoes, handbags and accessories, and they have started stocking gifts and homeware too! The staff are really friendly, and they have really made the most of this prime location on John Street. The shop is beautiful inside and out - a real asset to Porthcawl.

Generally I quite like the stuff they sell, but living in London, JN is not news to me and there are a lot of better places. In Swansea though it stands out slightly as a place to get nice, smart and dressy things. Personally I think some of the styles look a bit cheap, usually because they are so fitted (often stretchy fabrics) but they do have some nice things. Reasonable prices. An extra treat my family likes are the bags they give you - large, nicely designed ones with string handles that you can use again and again. My aforementioned 12 year old cousin likes these a lot. Located in the main shopping area in Swansea city centre so very convenient when in town too.
