This is a picture of the brand new Rowe chaise sectional I purchased from a local retailer in November 2025. When I bought it, I was told it would arrive within 6-8 weeks. Three months later, I still didn't have my couch. Every time I contacted the seller, I was told it was "waiting to be shipped." Once it finally shipped, it took another 4 weeks to arrive. My husband was scheduled for rotator cuff surgery, and we had planned to pick up the couch before his surgery. Due to all the delays, the retailer kindly arranged free delivery, and we finally received the sectional in March. At first, everything looked great. But after a couple of weeks, I vacuumed it -- which is one of the recommended ways to care for Crypton fabric -- and noticed an area on the arm of the chaise where the material had never been attached properly. There also wasn't enough fabric there to even secure it correctly. I immediately contacted the retailer, who reached out to Rowe. Rowe admitted it could not be repaired and said the chaise would need to be completely remade. Fine. Then I was told I would have to pay out of pocket to ship the chaise back. Thankfully, the retailer pushed back on that, and Rowe agreed to replace it. Next, they said I would need to send back one of my couch cushions so they could match the fabric. I reluctantly agreed, and they were supposed to send me a shipping label. Three weeks went by with no label. When I followed up, I was told the label had actually been emailed to the retailer and overlooked. At that point, I had thought more about it and realized how unreasonable this whole situation was becoming. I purchased this as one complete sectional, not separate pieces. I did not feel I should have to be inconvenienced further or be without a couch cushion for months because of a manufacturing defect. I told them that if they could not remake the chaise without taking part of my couch away, then they should replace the entire piece. They refused, offering only a temporary cushion cover while the chaise was being remade. My concern was that after another 5+ months of use, the new chaise might not match the rest of the couch anyway. After all the delays, inconvenience, and lack of customer care, I finally told them to forget it. I'll try to staple the fabric down myself and hope it holds up. I paid over $4,000 for this sectional, and this is absolutely not the quality or service I expected from an American-made company. Needless to say, I will never purchase from Rowe again. I'm sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision before spending their hard-earned money with this company. read more

Within 6 months, my "kid proof, spill proof, stain proof performance fabric" looked black. Never had any spills. Was just from skin oils and clothing transfers. I had the chairs professionally cleaned 3 times and they can't improve them. I contacted customer service and they wouldn't talk to me. My designer contact them and they basically said not their problem. STEER CLEAR. Pictures below are 6 months after purchase. Don't waste your money. read more

Rowe is expensive and absolutely has the WORST customer service! I purchased two swivel rocker club chairs that have both broken in the last several months at the bolt that attaches to the swivel portion causing a very dangerous situation! I have contacted Rowe in an effort to try to get them repaired and have received NO RESPONSE to messages sent by email and voicemail! I would never recommend purchasing any Rowe product!!! read more

Took over 6 months to get my sofa, and after 3 months of use it looked old and the feathers were coming out and poking us. I was in love with the floor level and the fabric that came was not the same. This is the worst purchase I even made and I spent over 6,000 dollars. They also do not return calls or emails regarding the warranty, very bad service and their resellers cannot really help us when it is an issue with warranty. read more

BUYER BEWARE! Received a $7,000 Rowe Sectional in early 2022. In less than (2) years of light use by two older adults with no kids and no pets, the fabric started pilling badly in multiple places and fraying badly on one of the arm rests. Sadly, Rowe has done NOTHING to resolve the problem because they claim this condition is normal and is not covered by the warranty. read more

I bought a Rowe sectional in 2002...Great comfy sofa... So I decided to go with Rowe again.. It looks beautiful and seems to be made well. I hope it holds up as well as my last sofa... I'm worried there are so many bad reviews, and I guess in 2019 Rowe was bought out by another company.. And that's when things went down hill. So getting back to my furniture I custom ordered. The specs on the website and the specs on what I received are totally different! The height of the sofa and chairs are supposed to be 35" they are 32", the seat hey 21" they are actually 19",the sofa lenvth 110" is actually 105" the chair width 39" actually 37" then the cushions on the sofa are supposed to be the height of the back of the sofa they are about shorter than the website shows.. How do you post specs and make a totally different size sofa!? A lot of money to get something different... Having said that... The furniture is beautiful and fits well in my space. The shortage compared to the specs, don't seem to matter... Except for the height of the sofa back cushions... But I can live with it... I love my new furniture. So, my suggestion if you are going to buy Rowe. Check a showroom. Ask for a spect sheet, and actually measure the furniture to compare. I'd be curious if they short inches on showroom pieces. If you order, make it clear you are expecting exact spec measurements. read more

Bought a Rowe sectional for a decent chunk of change in 2011 at Becker furniture and it's been a complete headache since- we had to have someone come out and replace the clips numerous times over the 3 yr extended warranty. After the 3 yr warranty was up the springs just started popping out underneath, scratching up our wood floor- never again! read more

I ordered a couch through my local dealer,Elder-Beerman, from your company 6 months ago. I still haven't received my purchase. Every time I contact my salesman he keeps telling me their is a production delay!!! I realize a special order takes longer, but 6 months!!! Ordered and paid for a chair in June 2020. Was told it would be 45-60 days. It is now nearly the end of October and still no chair. Store has no idea what the hold up is. Called the customer service rep that they provided number for. No response. Store says their "cue" says its in the warehouse waiting to be shipped. Same thing we were told a month ago. We purchased a Rowe Couch from Plummers in Culver City about 5 years ago. It was a sectional and unfortunately when it arrived, the key to hold the pieces together was not aligned correctly. It's annoying but we decided to just deal with it. It looked great and was comfortable for about 2 years. The foam lost it's shape and all the cushions have torn where they attach to the frame. We visited FBR Furniture in beginning of December 2016 and met Allison, who took the time and care to help us customize the couch we wanted. We chose the Dorset from Rowe Furniture but swapped out the legs with Dowel legs for a mid-century modern look. We were able to choose a handful of samples/swatches to take home and make the final decision. We decided on a cream with a tan tone to it (Color: N19119-82) and purchased on 12/15/16. The couch arrived in the beginning of March and was delivered on 3/11/17. Mark and his assistant were asked to remove the legs of the couch before bringing it down the stairs, but they said it was nailed on and couldn't be removed. They marked up and punctured the walls on the way down and Mark roughly patched up the walls a few days later. Ironically, my husband was able to come home and easily remove the legs to change them to the Dowel legs. That was the least of our problems, because once the couch was unwrapped, we recognized that it was the wrong color. The couch had a yellow tint to it when we ordered one with a tan tint. So we placed the sample that we had from FBR, directly on top of the couch. It was clear that the color was incorrect so we notified FBR, but we didn't expect a two month ordeal and still ongoing process to resolve the issue. My husband brought in the sample and pillowcase to Allison (GM) and Tony (owner). They both verified that it was the wrong color and said they would contact Rowe but it would be a very lengthy process to get the correct colored couch. Being dissatisfied with that answer, we both returned to FBR and wanted to move on from the situation. We asked for a refund but they refused and we were met with hostility and abrasiveness from Tony. ("It ain't gonna happen." - This is after he confirmed that it was the wrong color.) Allison asked for the pillowcase (accent pillow and same color as the couch) and the sample, to send to Rowe. She said she sent it though regular mail it on 3/31/17 without a tracking number, not UPS, not FedEx, no tracking number! Who sends a package without a tracking number? Today is 5/10/17. Rowe still has not reviewed Allison's package, there is no tracking number, we can't verify the whereabouts of the package, and Allison has no answers for us. She won't give us the contact information for her contact at Rowe. We called Rowe twice and left messages with no response from Rowe. We are extremely frustrated and don't even want a couch from Rowe anymore. We don't recommend FBR Furniture or any company that deals with Rowe. FBR is the middle man in purchasing furniture and that allows them to deflect blame on Rowe rather than taking ownership themselves. This situation is still unresolved and we have never experienced such poor customer service. *We will update as we continue this journey. read more

We bought a Rowe sofa, the most expensive piece of custom furniture we had purchased to date, whose frame cracked in less than a year. When we tried to invoke the "lifetime" warranty, Rowe had filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy and refused to repair or replace the sofa. I ordered a sofa in June 2017. It arrived in August with the wrong arms. The store I ordered through in Raleigh, NC advised that I keep the original until the correct one arrived. When the "correct one" arrived in October, it was lacking the nail heads I had paid for. The Raleigh store advised that they would order the nail heads through Rowe and have a local upholster put them on. I wasn't happy with this as I paid Rowe to provide a product I specifically designed. Wanting to have furniture by the holidays, I agreed. 3 weeks later I get a message that the sofa will have to be returned to Rowe for them to add the nail heads. It is now the end of November and I still don't have a sofa. To compound the issue, I have had the wrong sofa in my house since August. While we are clean people, not all people are. I also have a cat which many people are allergic to. I have inquired about a reduced price on the wrong sofa so a friend could purchase it. I was quoted $200.00 less than what I paid. I can only assume they intend to re-sell this sofa as "new" even after it has been in my house, being used, for 3 months. I would caution anyone against buying furniture off of any show room floor for this reason. I intend to mark it some how to let a future owner know they purchased a used piece of furniture. The Raleigh store is blaming Rowe. No one seems to want to make this right and I haven't been able to reach anyone at Rowe. I would like to give them benefit of the doubt that the order is being placed incorrectly but since I can't speak to anyone, I guess they are left holding the bag. I have now given up on the Rowe set I had ordered. I have demanded a refund and will be finding another company to do business with. read more

Purchased a Dorset hide a-bed from a well respected local furniture store. When the sofa arrived a piece of vertical square wood framing on the front corner of the back near the sofa arm had ripped through the sunbrella upholstery. It appeared that this piece of wood was longer than what was on the other side of the sofa, and the sharp raw edges ripped through the fabric. Also, the decorative buttons on the back of the sofa were not level. When I opened the hide a-bed there was no finished upholstery to cover the raw wood of the frame. Ends of the upholstery were looped haphazardly and stapled to the exposed wood leaving raw edges and dangling cording. I sent a picture of the unfinished upholstery to the salesperson at the furniture store. She said that was not acceptable and would order me a new sofa. When the new sofa arrived several months later I specifically asked that this new sofa be examined before it was delivered. When the it arrived I noticed that the underside was unfinished like the first one. I refused that sofa, too, and was given a full refund. This was an expensive sofa being sold in a reputable store, and I was shocked at the poor quality. Since then I have looked at other hide a-beds and all are finished underneath when they are opened. read more
