I just couldn't sit comfortably for more than 15 minutes. This surgery was the biggest MISTAKE of my entire life. Since the surgery I have been in VERY SEVERE, nonstop pain. Now I cannot sit AT ALL even for one minute because of the extreme pain. I have chronic nerve damage now. I cannot stand for more than 15 to 30 minutes at the most. I can't walk further than 1-2 blocks. I can't eat a meal with my family. I can't go to the dentist, get a haircut, see a movie, travel, meet a friend for lunch, babysit for my grandchildren, go to a wedding or do anything this requires sitting... I have to lie down on the back seat of a car in order to get anywhere. I have tried EVERYTHING, even two spinal stimulators. Nothing has helped. Dr. Feigenbaum DOES NOT CARE and has not shown any compassion nor taken any responsibility when I have spoken to him since my surgery. He told me that the MRI shows that he did exactly what he was supposed to do. REALLY?? Does that mean that his goal was to turn me into an invalid with severe pain? He nor anyone from his office has called me once since my surgery to see how I'm doing. I had to call him. He did not warn me of the risks before the surgery either. There is a good reason why not one doctor in New York will perform this surgery! (And only 1 of 2 doctors in the entire U.S.) If I can help even just one person to stop him/her from having this surgery than this review is well worth it. Don't do it. You will regret it for the rest of your life!

From the beginning, the welcoming and kind office staff helped to ease my fear. Dr. Rawan Albadareen was patient, compassionate, and thorough, and took the time to address my concerns and answer all my questions. I highly recommend her. The only hitch in the process was that the hospital had not gotten the results from my MRI to the doctor in time, as promised. So be sure you follow up before an appointment, and maybe even pick up and hand carry any necessary records/scans yourself!

He does not believe in the, "One size fits all" mentality. He, or his assistant, Leslie are prompt in getting back with you. I would recommend Dr. Gordon Kelly who wants a professional team with true empathy. The office is also well organized and prompt in taking care of your needs. Please be aware they allow their staff 1 hour, (12pm to 1pm) for lunch and are closed on Fridays. Dr Gordon Kelly is an excellent neurologist and I highly recommend him if you are looking for an outstanding physician.

I was referred by my primary care doctor for my migraines. Diane listened to me and took her time. She asked a lot of questions and gave me a lot of information. She took previous health issues into consideration during the process of determining what we would do to address the migraines. After lots of trial and error we found a plan that works for me. My five star is not only based on the above but their dedication behind the scenes. My insurance company is tough. They refused to approve an MRI for my migraines (I get 2-3 a week) then they refused to approve follow up ultrasounds to address the white matter they found on the MRI. They also refused to approve the prescription that worked best for me but this office refused to give up. The fought and fought for me. I never once had to contact the insurance company myself. They simply emailed me quick questions and handled it all. It took over a month to get it approved so that is pure dedication. The office is welcoming and friendly, appointments are on time.

She did not take my concerns very seriously as stated. I was called simply to be insulted and informed that I was lying, as patients are always informed of this late cancellation policy. This is the WORST neurologist office I have ever been to, I'll go elsewhere! Please please read negative reviews before making your decision. You'll see a pattern. After having a great experience during my ER visit, at Menorah hospital I put trust in who they referred. My first experience with Johnson County Neurologist was the scheduling. The wait time I was given was over a month even though I stated ER needed me to be seen in 2 days. Glad I didn't die waiting for my appointment. (SMH) This is the same amount of time a patient is given without any ER visit. My second experience was with the neurologist herself, Dr. Younger, who did nothing more than what the hospital had done over a month before with the addition of scheduling a MRI, blood & Nerve test. She's the furthest thing from empathetic while trying to convince you to take prescription meds stating "it's a fun little drug". The location she selected for my MRI was a month out. Thanks to my PCP two weeks later I found an imaging center that got me seen in 2 days. It would have been the same day but they waited all day for the referral to be faxed over by Dr. Youngers office. The nerve test referred to me was with her colleague Dr Clark. Which AGAIN I had to wait yet another month. At this point it was clear this office doesn't care about finding answers for its patients in any timely manner. The day before my appointment I received a call from their office. The call was very short, ONLY stating that I had two appointments back to back and start times. This was the same info I previously confirmed from their text. There were no further details given including any cancellation policy. Living over 35 minutes away being told, if late your appointment will be canceled, would be remembered. On the day of my appointment it was storming, even leaving my house 10 minutes early, unpredictably I had to wait in multiple traffic accidents, and slow downs due to the storm. When I arrived at their location lo and behold no parking as always bc it's shared with the whole hospital. By the time I found parking and rushed in during the storm I was 10 minutes late. The front desk lady took her sweet time, a few minutes later informed me I possibly wouldn't be able to see the doctor because my appointment started at 9:40. I looked back down at my phone the time it was exactly 9:52. (Keep in mind this after the couple of minutes that she wasted) Upon checking (now 9:53) she said Dr. Clark stated he didn't have enough time to do my appointment. With having back to back appointments I of course requested to reschedule them as I wasn't going to wait around for almost an hour because Dr. Clark felt that a "40 minute procedure" (Kim Pratt's words) couldn't be completed in that little of time... (47 minutes) AGAIN they couldn't get me in for a month and a half. I'm expected to wait, continuously having issues that put me in the ER in the first place, until mid August now. That's 4 months just wasted on WAITING! Of course I shouldn't of been surprised when she had me waiting around another 10+ minutes while "rescheduling" my appointments. Something that took 2 minutes the last two times. Seems very odd! I also find it awkward how they conveniently have enough time to waste our time as patients. When you arrived on time you're expected to wait over 15 minutes in the room to see the doctor. Which is another thing I experienced on my first visit. I had waited OVER 15 minutes from the time the nurse left the room until the time the doctor came in. Yes, but me being 10 minutes late, as I'm not willing to kill myself to get there, will throw EVERYONES day off -- again Kim Pratt's words. Complete rubbish! There's no true concern here for the patients, their time, what they're going through, or actually finding out answers.

Dr. Gebremedhin is an endocrinologist specializing in diabetes and metabolism disorders. I was…read morereferred to him by my neurologist, who is in the same practice, because we've been trying to pinpoint the cause of chronic fatigue that I've experienced for much of the past year. This is a condition that can have many potential causes, including lots of endocrinological ones! I've been very pleased with Dr. Gebremedhin -- he's a good listener and very patient, taking what seems like all the time in the world to go over symptoms and getting a thorough picture of the patient's overall health and everything that may be going on with them. He ordered LOTS of tests, some fairly exotic (the phlebotomist at the lab I used had to call their main office to get the codes and instructions for some of them because they're uncommon). The results came back and I saw Dr. Gebremedhin to find out what they were. Again, he was very patient and thorough about explaining what the results mean. As a result of the tests it was possible to rule out numerous causes of the fatigue I've been experiencing and narrow it down to only a few possibilities. I've started treatment for one of them and feel confident that we're on the right track to figuring this out and getting back to being my usual energetic self! I particularly like that Dr. Gebremedhin is being conservative about prescribing and isn't just throwing meds at my symptoms. I'm currently taking quite a few meds for other conditions (like they say, aging ain't for sissies) and really want to keep it all down to the essential minimum. Meanwhile, I'm going to give this first treatment a try and will be returning to see him in a couple of months, hopefully with good results to report! If you want a careful, thorough endocrinologist, I can recommend Dr. Gebremedhin. You can see more about his background on his website. Dr. Gebremedhin is originally from Ethiopia, but also trained at Loma Linda in California before coming to Kansas City. He does have a bit of an accent, but speaks slowly and clearly and makes sure you understand everything he's saying. I'm very pleased to have found him, and, as I said, I'm feeling very encouraged that there's a solution to this very annoying fatigue issue!
