Such a fun course. More on the casual side, but not too much, and the course is great. They do wonderful job keeping up the grounds. Since under new ownership it's in great condition and so much fun! read more

Golfed here the other day for the first time this season and it will definitely be my last. My tee time was at 5:50 and on the 7th hole my buddies and I were rudely interrupted by an employee who basically told us to get off because he wanted to go home. It was only 7:30.... The course is decent at best and you can find much better in the area for the same price. read more

I'd like to first start by saying our group enjoys playing on this course, as its conveniently located and is nicely maintained as a public option for those living in the north shore. However, what my group experienced yesterday from their grounds ranger was nothing short of embarrassing and was downright disrespectful to our group. To preface the issue, we booked 9:40 and 9:50 tee times for our group to go out together. We even called ahead letting them know we have an extra person and if it would be ok to play back to back knowing we would like to stick together. They said no problem! Upon arrival we were told the 10am group behind us arrived early so we asked the club house staffer if they could go ahead so that we could go out together. Again the staffer said sure its slow this morning no problem. At the 7th hole we were greeted by the ranger and were told to break up our group. No groups of 5 he said. Ok understood. We listened and were polite but thought this was odd since we were given the ok, and that we were not holding anyone up, nor acting disruptive (an all adults group that finished 9 holes in 2 hours!). At the 9th hole one member of our group who played ahead was waiting for us, so we could finish our allowed foursome, but we noticed the ranger again was waiting and was giving our member an earful. Our member was telling him he already finished the last hole and was waiting for us to finish so we can leave together. The ranger was trying to dictate how we broke up our group, but that is not his decision to make! My 60 year old father in law who was visiting from out of town was in shock at how disrespectful this man was and how his only objective was to flex his power. At that point we were already done playing yet the ranger could not leave us alone. He said his peace on the 7th hole, let it be! We broke up our group and were walking off 9, yet he refused to let us finish in peace. He even followed us back to the clubhouse while we were minding our own business packing up and started to patronize us saying "do you want me to bring over the employee who told you that you could play together" and "I can walk you over there right now so we can talk to him". At that point I told the ranger listen I don't care to get anyone on your staff in trouble we were told it wouldn't be an issue and we are leaving. The ranger simply refused to let us leave in peace and even started saying let's have the cops decide. Are you kidding me?! We are a group of adults who played a quiet round of 9 holes in 2 hours without any disruption other than a ranger who was looking to stir up an issue. Everyone in our group was shocked. We've played this course for years and have never been treated like patronized children by someone who simply needed to flex power. Management needs to review this matter as this is no way to treat customers. They need to make this right. read more

I found a deal online for this course, so I figured I would give it a try. I'm just getting back into golf after a 6-7 year lay off. We had a tee time around 10 o'clock, and didn't have to wait at all to get out there. Course was nice, pretty forgiving. I didn't go through a whole package of balls like I expected. We played 18, and it went pretty fast for pace. I would probably come back and play again. read more

this is a great tragedy of a golf course, in my opinion. old reviewer states there's a driving range; that has since been replaced by a new housing development. i love the layout of this course. it's really out in the woods, very peaceful and idyllic. water comes into play on many of the holes and there's a lot of tough shots to make. (for example, every shot you'll take on the par 4 third.) the depressing thing about this course is the condition. it's just kind of a mess. i stumbled up there for the first time last year and found the course charming, but a bit rough. while the greens seem to have improved slightly in 2014, nothing else has. the tee boxes suck and the fairways are often large patches of clover. the rough is just kind of whatever is around. when i played there last year, we paired up with a couple of longtime members who said "oh it used to be so great!" "oh it was always in much better shape" "oh these new developers don't care about the course" etc. i don't know how much of it is true, only that if this course was ever in truly good shape, it would be a wonderful track. as it is now, not a bad play. just don't expect much along the lines of maintenance. read more

I enjoy this little 9-hole wonder out in the sticks known as Rowley, MA. About a 35 min drive north from Boston, it's quite challenging with funky hills and water on several holes. There are 2 driving range areas, one matted and the other natural grass. They also hold a junior camp for kids who want to learn to play for a reasonable fee. If you're looking to play 18 holes, play the white tees the first 9 and play them again from the blues. It's like an entire different course from the tips. :P read more

Played here Sept 2013. 9 hole course is a bit hilly with a fair amount of water. The fairways are not very well drained, greens were in rough shape (bare patches). Tee boxes in rough shape too, crabgrass and bare patches. That being said, it was very reasonably priced and not busy (we had a 1:00 tee time on a Saturday).' I give it a 5-star rating for its layout, and believe it or not, condition. Greens were perfect !!! Fairways & rough were to be as expected due to the lack of water/rain in the Northeast. Nice little clubhouse and very reasonable rates. I think current management is going in the right direction . A hidden gem. read more
