    Roy Rogers in Frederick MD

I've been hitting up more Roy Rogers lately because they're good. I like sliced roast beef and I like being able to add my own toppings. Their Fixin's Bar is tops. Stopped here because it was convenient and the service was good/quick. I added a few slices of tomato, some onion, and some of their horseradish sauce. The Fixin's Bar was clean and tidy. The rest of the restaurant, including the parking lot was clean. The associate who took my order was easy to understand and my lunch was accurate.

Ummm where do I start? 1. Three people working. Explain standing in line for the amount of time I did. 2. Dirty tables. I understand. Your busy and limited staff, maybe there was a call off or something. 3. Potatoes half cooked. 4. Poor kid at the register, Riley. If my manager snapped her fingers at me like she did you this morning, I would have walked right out of that place. 5. Manager wearing purple. Glad you didn't touch any of my food. You were working the drive thru touching everything in site including the food in the kitchen without washing your hands first. There are a lot of dirty things passed from car to window. I wish I cloud say I will return but I won't. Today's date is 1/19 and it's 9:30am. Just so you don't know if it was you working 10/3/2019 Another screw up. This is why I stopped coming here. Figured I would give it another chance but it seems it's just not meant to be. I wanted to try the Smokey cheddar... got plain roast beef. Ugh!!! Not to mention the one side of the roll is hard and the sandwich is dry. Smh!

Typical chain. Food not special. Prices not dirt cheap. Didn't like it. Friend loved it. A few redeeming qualities so it scores 2. Check. Over. Rogers that. Fries are not great, chicken is not great, the Fixin's Bar and service are fairly nice, but my second (third?) experience of this franchise chain (and only because my car-mate insisted on trying it for the first time), was no better than the others and didn't leave me clamouring to give it another try. And as for people saying this is better than family owned spots nearby? That's just not Royt.

Roy Rogers have the best bacon cheeseburgers and fries. This location lives up to the expectation of a Roy Rogers.

Roy Rogers regardless of location has the best burgers around. I ordered the double R burger which has two thick patties, cheese and bacon. When you look at some of their competitors, the patties are real thin and dry. It's a great place to enjoy chicken also

It was our first time here and we had absolutely no idea what to order. We just saw a bunch of people order soup and once they are out, they are out for the day and they cross it out. By the time we got there around noon, two out of the four available soups were gone. A lot of people were ordering to go and the soup looks substantial rather than soupy. The part about the decor is that you see a garage door in the middle of the place. It's quite chilly inside during winter time, but it has its charm. It's a small non descript place with lots of character and the food and coffee is good. This is one of those places where you're not really looking for a fancy place. You just want good food. This is the place. Get there early for the soup that you want.

(Huge oversight!)…read more I drive 50 minutes to get here at least once a month because this place is just that good, especially for a vegetarian. Creative, delicious sandwiches and salads. Go into nearly any sandwich shop and their vegetarian options consist of the typical (and boring) caprese or hummus/veggie. Not here. Here they have an imagination! Kale of Duty is my top pick. The Whistle Stop is excellent too. Salads/bowls: all delicious. The French onion soup (veg version)? Um, yes please! Great selection of drinks: alcoholic and NA. Cute/fun greeting cards to peruse while you wait for your food. I've only ever encountered friendly, helpful employees. And one time I had the opportunity to meet one of the owners (she was at the register). When I received my order the bagel was a plain bagel, $2 stolen from me, there was less than 3 ounces of lox on the bagel and the $9 chai latte was the blandest drink I've ever had, almost as if they added half water and half milk to the drink. The one saving grace P&R has for me was the chive schmear for the sandwich, at least that had some flavor to it. I had heard many good things about this place and was excited to try it, sadly, I will not be ordering from them again. Highly overpriced for the amount of food you receive.

This fast casual burger and hot dog stand is walk-up only, with outdoor seating and a handful of parking spots (which fill up quickly during peak times). You order at the window from a huge menu and wait for your name to be called over the loudspeaker. We tried a few of their hot dogs, the Chicago Dog and the Chili Nacho Cheese Dog and both were awesome. The dogs were snappy, flavorful, and loaded with toppings. We also grabbed the double patty melt, which was superlative. The patties were juicy, the rye bread was perfectly griddled, and the whole thing just hit. The onion rings deserve their own shoutout too, crispy, hand-breaded, and the perfect side item. And of course, we had to finish with dessert. We got vanilla soft serve cones with black cherry flavor burst on one and coffee on the other. Super tasty and the perfect ending. The prices are reasonable for the quality and portion size. It's exactly the kind of place you want to hit up on a sunny weekend or for a casual dinner after work.
