These old reviews do not reflect the current service atmosphere at this royal farms location. Obviously, if you know about Royal Farms, you know about the amazing chicken and fresh deli made to order. They also have the usual great selection of coffee and package goods. The staff working are very friendly and accommodating, not to mention fast and efficient at their work. I would guess that the older reviews were regarding previous employees. read more

Super nice staff. The receipt paper was out or I couldn't push it hard enough. I tend to have a hard time with getting receipts at Royal Farm stores. Maybe offer an email option. Grab and go and options kept up to date. Bathroom is clean. Food is typically good for a convenience store. What is not to like? read more

Whenever you may have accidentally left something there by accident, you try to call right away and no one answers. That's a lousy way to run a business. Someone should answer the phone at all times. I mean what if you have a question about an order you placed. If no one answers than your order can be messed up. Not happy with them at all. read more

Convenience stores make this guy's world go round. So it would have been irresponsible of me to NOT make a visit to the first Royal Farms built in the 36. I was working extremely late one night this past weekend and decided to take a ride up route 1 to see this new addition. This will be shocking to those of you that know me ... I became confused before I even pulled into the lot. I was making a left turn off of north bound Bel Air Road. All I saw were do not enter signs. Of course I entered anyway, but felt a small pinch of guilt for not following the rules. I needed gas. Pulled the Beamer up to a pump. Exited my car and headed in. As I entered the store I was overwhelmed by how bright it was. I expected to be greeted by an old dude guarding pearly gates. Instead the old dude I did see was running side to side making subs. He moved like Jimmy Connors. Quite Impressive. The store itself was large. It even had a nice seating area to eat and play Keno. Mental note .. place to eat and play Keno in 45 years. Public bathrooms, munchies, drinks, mags (the reading kind, sorry Fallston residents), cigarettes, a food counter, a small assortment of groceries, automotive supplies, cleaning supplies, health and beauty products, and condoms. I was hungry. I walked over to the touchscreen device and placed an order that totaled 12 duckets. A little pricey but it was a fat kid meal. I requisitioned a tasty fountain beverage and headed to the checkout. What I failed to mention was that while ordered I noticed another employee behind the food counter. A female that was at best 4'8". I was fairly confident that either her or the mature gentleman sub maker would come take my money so that I could pick up my 2000 calories and start getting my obese on. NOPE .. not in this barn house. I stood at the checkout counter. For 10 minutes I watched Jimmy move side to side while Chris Everett straddled the baseline head down. It would have been a longer wait but another customer walked up behind me and started talking about how the country was falling apart. After I heard him say Hitler and guns, I decided to use my freedom of speech. "LITTLE HELP at the CHING CHING" I yelled with obvious desperation. Without missing a beat, side to side became up and down as Connors rang me up and took my chedda. I swiftly picked up my order. Love this Royal Farms location! It is a newer location so it is a little fancier looking (I guess as fancy as a gas station can get lol). Plenty of gas pumps, free air machine for when you're running low, clean store and friendly employees make this a great location. Tip- if you get a Royal Farms loyalty card and tie it to your checking account you get discounts on your gas and discounts/free stuff inside the store! read more

Always busy. Sometimes it is hard getting out of the parking lot due to traffic. Friendly service and bathrooms were clean.

I stopped by at 330 pm for a cup of coffee. All but one of the new machines were out of service. I just wanted a normal coffee. Unfortunately the only one available was decaf! I can't wait until the WAWA at Bel Air and Honeygo opens. They will put you out of business! read more

This Royal Farm is the worst! Nothing works multiple fuel pop pums are out of service, the air llloo pump is chronically out of service, their rewards program is a joke and is difficult to redeem products after earning pointe, also the food is terrible, the staff are mediocre at best and also from what I understand the district manager is paid 6 or 7 figures and just recently bought a brand new Jeep with all the bells and whistles, while they mismanage their stores and pay employees crap wages and have high turnover! Stay away from Royal Farm's, you will not get good service or quality. read more

Worst chicken I have ever had. Usually I pack a lunch. On the days I buy I look forward to have something different and at times that's a couple pieces of chicken. A few months ago I bought 2 pieces of chicken for lunch. they were fried so hard you could have thrown thrown through a plate glass window. that evening I called the store a spoke to the managers. I don't recall the name but it was a man. I told him about the chicken and I did not bring it back because When I stopped to eat I was no longer near the store. He said he would take care of the problem a few weeks later I decided to give them another try. It was the same hard fried chicken that I could not eat. This time I returned the chicken for a refund. This is the saltiest hardest fried chicken on the planet. If you want good fried chicken go to KFC. read more

Terrible service. Apparently there is a mother and daughter crew that works at the cashier who are both very rude. I was waiting for my food and both of them told me to wait for my food outside, and the other cashier jumped into and asked if there was a problem. I felt very uncomfortable and harassed. read more

The store is below average for acceptable as a business with poor management, it is very disappointing as the store is a couple years old. There is always trash everywhere (all over the counters and all over the floor), the refreshments area (fountain drinks, f'reals, and slushees) is always sticky like it is never cleaned (a glob of black something was dispensed in my cup from the slurped machine). Also, the deli recently failed their health inspection and had to be closed for a few days. This morning half of the drink coolers were empty and a few months back they ran out of chicken ( but they're supposed to be known for it ). If you can, find a wawa for better food and service or just get gas elsewhere. The employees are dismissive, never give proper change, and the deli workers don't change their gloves after touching dirty equipment and door knobs. read more

$4.23 for a sub that I consumed in 6 bites? This RoFo is a ripoff. If you go to Wawa and order the same thing you get a massive sub full of meat and good toppings. One wilted piece of lettuce, one small slice of tomato on a 7in sub? Not to mention there were on 4 slices of meat and two triangles of cheese. I should have gone to subway where I can make sure I'm getting what I pay for. Not to mention, the guy that rang me up, he was definitely high on something. I stopped by this location last night to refill my ice cups and to purchase other items. Upon entering the store, I gestured to the cashier, (Dehnae) showing her that I bought my two cups in for ice refill. I shop at Royal Farms on a near daily basis, so I know the store ice refill policy (i.e., bring in a maximum of two cups and you can refill it with ice. Otherwise, you will have to pay .42 for a store cup of ice. When I went to the check out line, I reminded Dehnae that I bought my cups in. She rang me up and charged me for two cups. I reminded her of the ice refill policy and she rudely replied, "I still need to charge you for the ice". I was very polite explaining the policy and asking whether there was a recent policy change. Dehnae insisted the policy has always been charge for ice refills regardless. Despite my efforts to clarify the ice policy, Dehnae started doing neck rolls as she insisted that she was right. I feel it is important to mention, I also noticed she had a mouth full of piercings which ordinarily would not bother me. However, as I watched her going through the neck rolls and thrusting her head back while sayng, "blah blah blah you don't know what you're talking about"; it was apparent that she lacks business acumen. I then asked for a manager. A young lady named Aubry approached the counter as I was telling Dehnae, "do not sass me young lady". I expected Aubry to take me to the side so I could share my concerns. Instead, Aubry replied in a sharp tone, "I don't appreciate you telling my staff member not o sass you, that's my job to decide how this situation should be addressed". Aubry then said, "I do have to charge you for the cups because I have no way of knowing if you bought them in or whether you got them when you arrived". I told her "don't take my word that I bought th empty cups in to refill, please look at the surveillance cameras to confirm". Aubry said that wasn't necessary and refunded my money. Meanwhile, Dehnae was engaging in antagonistic behavior by saying, "I told you". Her voice inflection on the words "told you" was significantly higher. I then had about a four minute conversation with Aubry explaining that I have a business in the general area and I'm appalled to see how she has not asked Dehnae to separate herself from the conversation. Rather, she allowed Dehnae to continue in the abusive antagonizing behaviors as I shared my concerns. After quite a bit of reasoning from me, Aubry finally surrendered to my suggestion that she ask Dehnae to separate herself from our conversation. Aubry physically took Dehnae by both arms and walked her behind the cigarette display. Throughout the separation, Dehnae put up some resistance by plowing her feet into the ground with each step. Dehnae eventually laughed and lessened her resistance as Aubry escorted her behind the cigarette display. . I resumed my conversation with Aubry and told her it's shameful that it took her so long to do the right thing. Aubry then proceeded to tell me in the future, come through the checkout line before I refill my ice cups that way she knows I actually bought them in. I told her that I not only made eye contact and gestured to the cashier during my arrival, I also said it at checkout. As I was leaving, I saw Aubry and Dehnae reconnect and watched laugh and their body language suggested that they were making a mockery of me.
