I got married here. When it came to checking out the venue ahead of time, I was delighted to see that the staff were eager to show me the room. I was told that I can get a discounted room on my wedding day and to call a bit in advanced for that. That sounded awesome given this place has a sauna, steam room, and a hot tub. We ended up not staying so I can not tell you much about how the rooms are, however, no other hotel in Bray has the luxuries of steam room, sauna, and hot tub
The first drink as a married woman was at Royal Hotel and it was disappointing. My father-in-law and I helped carry the drinks the table; no staff offered to carry it over. I had a White Russian and there must of been less than a shot in there; it tasted as if I was drinking only milk. I prefer stiff drinks, but my husband does not and usually tells me if I make my drink too strong. I had him sample it to have a second opinion, you know, perhaps I was too harsh. Well, he thought I ordered a glass of milk. That one drink was enough for us to take the late afternoon of drinking towards the seafront.
Oh! I love how they allowed my dog to be present at the wedding. read more
