In addition, since the reservation was used for business travel the manager sent a letter to complain about him to his company for his review! The original complaint was made because the hotel acted in bad faith by changing the price to a higher rate for the 2nd hotel night after the booking was already complete! In addition, the manager tried to do damage control by asking the receptionist to say there was a mistake with the price, and this was after the booking was already completely. The hotel should honor the price they sold the room for, PLAIN AND SIMPLE! The hotel acted in bad faith and refused to correct their error; instead they chose to make a bad situation worse. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!! In addition the manager of this establishment harassed me on TripAdvisor for writing a review accusing me of being someone else and leaving an alias and he also included customer names in his comments. This is clearly unprofessional behavior and not an establishment that should not be trusted. If you need a place to stay in France find a nice gite in Caen or spring extra for another hotel, it will be worth it.

We had to purchase a second internet connection to be able to upload photos to share with family and friends. Only on device is allowed on internet per family. The bed is stiff and no additional pillows available though it advertises as much upon request. Two sets of pillows are decorative and unsanitary to be utilized by varied guests to guests. No microwave, no refrigerator in the room. Very spartan and the desk manager uncooperative and not very customer oriented. We'll stay elsewhere our next visit here.

The lobby is kept clean and the staff is attentive. No issues checking in or out either, very efficient. There is a restaurant and bar located on the main floor. You can access the buffet styled breakfast from there too. The rooms were a good size for my short stay. Bathroom was nice, the shower had plenty of hot water, and the lighting around the mirror was adequate. The beds were comfortable and I had a great nights sleeps. The hotel includes a couple of amenities too such as a gym. I checked out the gym the morning I checked out and got a little workout in. Nothing too crazy, but it included a treadmill, elliptical, a couple bikes, some free weights, and a small cable system. The breakfast buffet was lovely and they had just about everything you could need. Including cheeses, meats, plenty of breads and small pastries, a crepe station, scrambled eggs and boiled eggs, bacon, fruit & yogurt, and coffee. I was very satisfied with this buffet and the selection they provided. It was kept clean and well stocked as the morning continued as well. The staff did a great job replenishing the buffet and keeping up with the many guests who came through. Overall, I had a great, quick stay here. The Ibis provided me with exactly what I needed. It's a great location, with friendly staff, great service, and a good breakfast. Would recommend!

Our three night stay was booked via a web site and everything went well with those arrangements. Price was pretty reasonable, too. And it is newish, with good technology, cable, WIFI, good a/c, secure key-card door locks and elevators requiring passcodes to operate. Breakfast wasn't bad, and better then many in Europe. Our room was comfy, though minimalist. Note: lights in hallways are motion-activated, which is a bit off-putting when the elevator door opens at night and it is pitch black until you step into the hall. (Our in-room safe did not work, though the hotel staffer sent to address it was very apologetic. But it was never repaired during our stay). We unluckily arrived right behind a twenty-person tour group and it took about 30 minutes for the one front desk clerk to process them, which wasn't bad but would have been better with two clerks! But on the other hand...Keeping down personnel costs seems to be a key goal. Sleeping rooms are not cleaned every night, but only at the end of your stay or 7 days, whichever comes first. But there are optional services upon request. Housekeeping was lackluster at best: the floors in our room were grimy, the kind that make you think twice about walking barefooted. The hallway carpets were visibly stained and just plain dirty. All in all, a safe, reasonably priced, modern hotel in an Uber-convenient location, with friendly, helpful staff. But potential guests should be aware of the slim-staffing and poor housekeeping aspects.
