Living at 171 or 197 Willow Street has been a frustrating and disappointing experience. These buildings are in a constant state of disrepair, and the landlords--John Fisher and Cathy Paliwoda Manktilow--along with building manager Josh, have shown little to no interest in maintaining safe, clean, or livable conditions for tenants. The list of issues is extensive: * Mold in units, unaddressed. * Leaking sinks throughout the building. * Carpets that were never replaced or cleaned before move-in. * Cracks in the walls and ceilings. * Mailboxes that don't lock properly. * Electrical outlets that don't work, with the landlord insisting they "can't be fixed." * Mice infestation that John Fisher blames on tenants instead of handling properly--while also telling us not to use traps, yet offering no other solution. Hallways are another concern entirely. They smell strongly of urine, and cleaning is done without basic care--Josh, one of the building managers, regularly mops without sweeping first, leaving behind more grime than he cleans. He, like the others, doesn't respond to maintenance concerns or follow through on requests. While inspections are occasionally done, they are meaningless, as no actual repairs follow. John Fisher is also known to harass tenants, often forgetting who he's even rented to and making uncomfortable, unwelcome remarks. These buildings are poorly managed, unsanitary, and unsafe. The complete disregard for tenant wellbeing is unacceptable. Avoid these properties if you're looking for somewhere livable, safe, and professionally maintained. These buildings aren't with $1,300.
