The staff here are very professional, efficient and friendly and always offer the best service, whether you are just buying a stamp or sending 10 parcels! They sell a wide range of post related products, envelopes, paper, sticky tape, brown paper and string. This postoffice is a must to the local community and I hope it will not face closure in the near future.

This post office is in the newsagents in the parade of shops in Harmanswater…read more It can get busy and it can be a tight fit as the queue for the post office is right by the till to pay for your papers etc. There are two tills at the post office which are both usually open and the staff are nice and friendly ( most post office staff arent) and they will help. I saw staff helping an older man who was trying to use the machine with his chip and pin card and was having trouble and the lady came out of the door and helped him to do it whilst trying to not look at his pin number! There is a good selection of envelopes and postage bags and lots of forms. You can buy car tax here. There is parking right out the front and around the back.

The thing to remember with that is that the hours are different to the main Post Office - they're open earlier and in the case of run up to Christmas, they're also open later. The staff at the parcel pick up are excellent - they're quick, polite and frankly one of them is like a Jedi master or something as when myself or the wife turn up, he sees us come in and knows exactly where are our parcels are without even looking at our address. Craziness! The main post office itself is much the same as the most of them - they don't have a number system like some major ones, but just have a good old fashioned queue, which moves reasonably fast depending of course on just how clueless some of the people who are sending parcels. But that isn't the fault of anyone working here or any other Post Offices!
