Car was misrepresented. They said trim was premium and it was base. They told me the car had been sitting there for a few weeks i found it had been listed for over 140 days. We took it to get inspected and a ball joint was loose but with a brand new tire only on that side. Headlight was out and they didn't tell me (ironic for them also being a car lighting service!) Infotainment (touchscreen) system didn't work. The muffler, tires and battery needed to be replaced. All of this on a 2016 Outback with 200k miles originally listed for $8k when they first got it 140 days ago, but was listed for $6k when i got it for an inspection ur. After learning about the needed repairs they were unwilling to bring the price down at all. After being confronted the salesman was dismissive. Overall very shady and untrustworthy. read more

The rumors about buying a car on McLoughlin at the shady car dealerships are VERY true. Do not buy a car from Royal Motors/Dream City Auto. They completely sold me a lemon and we even had a contract signed of what they agreed to fix and they still have not fixed everything or reimbursed me for fixing it myself. Do your research with Oregon Attorney General and Better Business Bureau before buying. I have learned my lesson; please don't make the same mistake as me. I went to Royal Motors three years ago and that was one of the best decisions I have ever made. the crew at Royal Motors are there to help you. The owners are friendly and they make sure to personally assist you while you're there. I've been to many car dealers in Portland but the experience I had with them was great. They are helpful and patient. I bought a 2002 Mercedes and till this day it's running like a brand new car. If you dislike all the regular used car dealer sales tactics try the guys at Royal motors in milwaukie. We bought our truck from Royal Motors it was an easy deal they even brought our car keys back to us right after appraising my trade in !!( In the past I had always struggled to get my car keys back from the sales manager But not this time the manager came out with our keys) we made a our deal without too much haggling they bought us lunch at busters BBQ while they prepared the paper work. However our car had a check engine light come on a week after we bought it. when we called to let them know about our issue they assured us they'll take care of it and the sales manager Mehdi gave us a loaner car while our truck was repaired. This company is now doing business as dream city auto, I was told by a manager that they changed their business name because they had such a poor reputation and had to fire many upper management. I bought a car from Royal Motors about 8 months ago, it's been nothing but problem after problem since then. I was told that I can bring it in, be washed from the loan and start over. Once I got back to the dealership ready to start on a new loan I was told I didn't have enough money, or credit and that they simply wouldn't make any money on this deal. They showed me cars that they liked, not that I liked, and said honda & toyota are too hard to get into so I can't have them. I've now filed a complaint with the Oregon Attorney General and contacted our families lawyer. I was told that it's my fault for buying a POS car from them and they didn't make me do it. Many other groups of people came in and out while we waited for hours and they all seemed to have the same experience we were having. read more

I went to the dealership in Milwaukee... we bought a Durango and was told that it would be a safe vehicle as we had told Daniel, the salesperson, we needed something safe for our family. When we bought the Durango there was a cracked windshield we had been promised would be replaced, we also noticed the passenger seat had a loose bolt, we were assured this would be fixed, then within 8 hours of signing on the line, the check engine light came on, we took the Durango back to them the next morning and they did a diagnostic check and came back with something wrong with it but refused to tell us what, told us to bring it back when we had time and they would fix the windshield we told them we just wanted out of the contract because it was already causing so many issues, (oil leaks, check engine light, overdrive wasn't working, wasn't stopping correctly, etc.) they told us we were stuck that they would get everything fixed and the check engine light just needed to be reset. However, after taking it to emissions we found out the transfer case is messed up (our 4 wheel drive doesn't work right), and the overdrive sensor is out. We'll have to see if they fix this this week! read more
