As with any recycling center, if you have a mix load of scrap metal that includes non-ferrous and ferrous metals, let the employee know and they will make sure you get paid correctly for your material. I usually go very early in the morning and the amount I recycle from our small household doesn't warrant payment. It takes me about five minutes to drive right up to the small dumpster as close as I can, open my trunk, and the throw in all the little papers and cardboard pieces. The employees usually leave me be, and they will come out and help me unload my trunk on occasion. I'm guessing if I tried to get money for recycling, my experience would be different. The address says it's in Modesto, but it's basically in Ceres.

I checked the hours on their website and yelp and headed out from Tracy driving almost an hour in the rain and wind arriving just before 3:30 ( their posted closing is 4 pm). No one was there . I called and was told that they had went home at 2:30 because no one had come in... I told her I had driven an hour from Tracy , her answer was that I should have called first , really didn't care that they had inconvenienced me ... I didn't see anywhere that I needed to make a reservation to drop off .... wondering how people like this stay in business
