Organised an expensive party here - asked twice beforehand if they needed a deposit or payment in full beforehand, was told no.
On the day of the party I was then told I was expected to pay the whole thing in Cash there and then. Over 2k.
Noone carries that amount of cash let alone without any notice. I tried to pay on a card in full, but apparently the Bar is run by someone different to the Kitchen; food is cash only which isn't advertised. Eventually was given a random woman's personal bank details to send the cash into and did this. No idea who this was? No receipt, no invoice, no paper trail.
Ordered a cold buffet for a set number - was given random hot food and even thought it was a buffet, every time one of my guests went back up for more, I was then charged for another head (£16 each), their reasoning for this was they just kept adding plates and charging for how many were used. This isn't how a buffet works and not what I ordered, but managed to secure themselves and extra few hundred pounds without my permission.
Aside from the unprofessionalism of the cash laundering, the food wasn't as ordered and was so basic and bland. The restaurant needs a major update and the toilets also. Invest in a card machine that doesn't cost much and you'd generate a lot more business. Siomedig iawn, amhroffesiynol.
