This is a new hotel in the heart of Karaköy, one of the more hip neighborhoods in Istanbul. The location was perfect! Plenty of restaurants and cafes within a stone's throw from the hotel. Depending on traffic, it was a reasonable 15 minute cab ride to main tourist attractions like Hagia Sophia and Grand Bazaar, as well as to the Bosphorus. Istanbul traffic can be crazy though so plan accordingly.
My single room was a comfortable size, and the bathroom was modern, though a little small. My room faced another building so there was no view at all, but it wasn't a big deal.
The complimentary breakfast at the cafe next door was pretty average. On the recommendation of my local friends, I went to a popular spot brunch spot (Namlı Gurme) in the neighborhood and enjoyed that better.
Service was very nice and polite. There was one main guy working the front desk at all hours. I'm not sure how he functioned actually, he was there most nights, mornings, and even early afternoon.
Complementary WiFi was a reasonable speed. The building had an elevator. A small in-room minibar had drinks and snacks for purchase.
I enjoyed my four night stay here and would stay here again! read more
