The welds are full of holes and there is big holes burned thru the tubes in the welds. The trailer had rust by every weld and I had to spend 2 hours cleaning and touching up the paint. When you spend $2200 dollars on a new trailer you should not have to work on it to use it. I contacted the dealer where I bought it and left them a message to contact me about this and they never got back to me on this. If I had to suggest a trailer to buy and where to get it, I would not send them to rib mountain marine to get a kirks trailer. I looked at a lot of different trailers and I like the design and the and low profile of the kirks trailer but it is very poor quality and the dealer would not even call back to see if something could be done to resolve this or maybe even exchange it. So if you are looking for a trailer don't go to rib mountain marine or but a kirks trailer.

I was needing a trailer with slight modifications to fit my specific use. I tried calling many…read moretrailer dealers that were closer to me, but the people they have answering their phones (secretaries) had no clue as to whether they could even get those modifications done. Dale answered and immediately, without having to consult a book or the manufacturer, knew they could be done and their pricing. He even recommended additional options that I didn't even know I wanted, such as trailer brakes. If there is some distance between you and TPD, do not let it stop you from getting the trailer you want or need. You will be using it everyday and will regret it if you don't.

When I called them, they told me to take it to someone local since I'm several hours away. Turns out, it had a bad grease seal that let grease get onto the brake, causing the problem. The repair cost $765.83, which the mechanic said he would submit to Texas Pride. I've called no less than eight times and keep hearing the same story. When I contacted Texas Pride, they said they'd never been reached about it. They still haven't gotten back to me, and I wouldn't recommend buying from either of them.
