Otherwise it's a pretty small little airport that lacks any sort of amenities, save a unusually nice snack shop. That looks very new and is very nice with decent offerings of sodas, snacks, pastries, ice creams, coffees, etc. The rest of the airport is pretty dire. One small terminal with 4 gates. All flights board outside. Which is probably usually fine in the South of France but it was pouring rain before our flight and we thus spent the 1.5 hours back to London somewhat uncomfortable. Well, more uncomfortable than Ryanair ALREADY makes you! Of note - the only restroom facilities are BEFORE security so if you have to go, you've been warned. Car rental facility is on site and very convenient. Like I said, it gets you into southern France, so...you could have a worse situation in your life, I am sure.

I have been to other Ibis hotels in Europe and very happy with this hotel chain. The staff at the front were nice. It was a good deal, although a short drive from the center of the city. The surroundings aren't that great, as it is pretty much in the parking lot of a shopping center, but it is easily accessible by car. The hotel itself is super cute and looks like it was assembled in parts after being purchased from an Ikea. The room was clean and nice with a nice bathroom and good bed. We also had the breakfast in the morning, which was excellent (but only served until 9am). It was large, buffet style with cheeses, cold cuts, breads, and delicious crepes. Overall, this was a really comfortable place at a good price.

Also, there are several other Ibis Hotels in the area luring weary drivers anxious for rest after a day on the road in the wrong direction. After two incorrect Ibises, we finally found the correct one in a dingy industrial area. You have to drive down a dark road through parked trucks to get to the hotel. There are no shops or restaurants within walking distance, only industrial concerns. The rooms was uncomfortably tiny, even by European standards. And it was noisy, since the Autopista runs right next to it. I noticed the next morning that both sides of the hotel were exposed to this noise, since the Autopista curves by it. One positive note, the front desk clerk Gwendel was very nice, energetically tending to a full house of guests.
