The seller of the home was also a realtor, so I'm unsure if that had anything to do with it. They noticed some things, which were helpful to get repaired before we moved in, but overall we were astounded by some of the things left unnoticed. Overall we were $9000 in the bucket right after moving in, not to mention a huge headache after the craziness of moving.
