This was my family's favorite meal during our visit to New Orleans! We had brunch consisting of the chicken and waffles and eggs Benedict. The service was very friendly, from the hostess out at the street to our server at the table we felt genuinely welcome. I chose the Trifecta Benedict. It came with a fried chicken bennie, pulled pork bennie, and Cajun shrimp bennie. In hindsight, I would recommend just getting the fried chicken bennie because it blew the other two out of the water. Their sweet tea cut half with unsweet was perfect. I've been to the Ruby Slipper on Magazine street quite a few times and had a wonderful experience. This location was in walking distance to my hotel so I thought I would visit before I left NOLA. I arrived on Monday morning around 8:30. The hostess although not the friendliest seated me right away. My waitress came over about 5 minutes later. She was lovely but I didn't get her name. I usually get the shrimp and grits but opted for the chicken and French toast bites with a side of grits and a cup of coffee. The presentation was beautiful. The food came out warm. The chicken was good. The French toast had a lot of cinnamon and was ok and the grits were mediocre.
