Update: I received a call from the manager (Anne) after my previous review, who convinced me to give them another try, although I insisted I didn't need any coupons or apologies. People sometimes have a bad day and we shouldn't hold that against an entire restaurant. At the start we had to wait a bit, but it was worth it when we got seated i started heading straight for the salad bar. When I came back with my plate full with salad, I took a bite and it was so fresh the salad was crunchy and the ranch dressing for some reason tasted way better then the ranch i usually have. The server was a great resource for a family who hadn't been to Ruby Tuesday in 10+ years - good suggestions on the menu. Could have used a few more water/drink refills. The food was good - I had a burger which was nice and juicy; the fries were just okay (needed a bit more seasoning). One of my companions had a ribs, shrimp, and chicken tenders meal and said the ribs and shrimp were FANTASTIC but the chicken tenders were a bit dry and tough. Then for dessert, I was really excited about tasting their double chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream on top but sadly they said that they were out of it, so i just ordered the chocolate brownie cup. It tasted yummy - and was a great share for a family of four after an already-generous meal, but i was still sad I did not get to try the double chocolate cake with ice cream. Maybe I can try it next time! I realized that I shouldn't have slept on Ruby Tuesdays for this long - with their deals available, plus free kids' meal nights, I will definitely be back to try more of their menu. read more

Poor service. Waitress was never around. Half the food and condiments never came out until I had to almost beg. I didnt know i was back in school and had to raise my hand for 15 minutes before someone walks by our table. Some guy also stood at the host stand for 10-15 minutes before a host ever even came out. My wife and I decided to give Ruby Tuesday a try, after what seems like forever. There just aren't as many around anymore, which is a shame. We stopped in for dinner hoping for a good meal and that legendary salad bar, which seems to be harder to find these days. When we arrived, we were greeted within just a minute or so by a friendly young lady. We asked for a table and we were seated fairly close to the salad bar, which was very convenient. Mei, our waitress took our drink orders right away and came back to get our dinner orders. My wife and I are both on a strict Keto diet, so of course we got the Ruby Cheese Burger with no bun. I got broccoli and my wife got grilled zucchini instead of fries for our sides. We both opted for the $5.99 add on salad bar, a must at Ruby Tuesday. The salad bar was great. Everything was clean and there were plenty of options to choose from. I made a large salad with all the fixings and ranch dressing for my midwestern heart. There are other salad options too, such as coleslaw, potato salad, and a few other choices. The salad was just what I needed. Our dinners arrived and everything was about as good as it could be. Mei, our waitress was friendly and prompt. A woman, who seemed to be a manager swing by and grabbed the empty plates quickly. It was a nice meal for a pretty fair price. I haven't been to a Ruby Tuesday for at least 10 years, and was pleasantly surprised to find one still open in Canton! After checking the website and seeing that the unlimited garden bar was still a thing I knew I had to go. We were greeted almost immediately and sat at nice table, with super comfy chairs with a VIP view of the salad bar. I opted for the cheeseburger and was delighted to see several no carb options for sides. I chose the grilled zucchini and added on the salad bar for $5.99. The salad bar was well stocked for 5:30 pm on a Friday evening, and I saw an employee regularly filling and cleaning during our visit. There were loads of veggie options including: romaine, iceberg mix, onion, carrots, mushroom, bell pepper, coleslaw etc My burger was perfectly cooked and I was able to turn it into a keto burger salad. All in all it was a great meal, filling, and Mei was an amazing server. 5 stars!! read more

I went to Ruby Tuesday yesterday. I had not been in a long time and thought I would try it again. First, the menu was overwhelming, way too many items to choose from which made me wonder how is the cook or cooks getting these orders ready. I sort of got my answer when the food came out. My thinking is they can't possibly cook everything fresh. The sliders my friend ordered were dried up, hard and looked like they had been sitting in a corner for a couple of hours. I had a trio plate which was okay. The wings didn't really have any seasoning, kind of dry. The best part of the meal was the salad bar and the wait staff were nice. Ruby Tuesday - Nice parking lot - American Near Me - Canton, Michigan

In recent months I have been more willing to revisit classic chain restaurants than I have in previous years. I think part of it is genuine curiosity to assess the quality of the meals, while the other is me feeling nostalgic for the days when I would dine in such establishments with my family. I will admit that a driving factor for me to come to Ruby Tuesday was their famous salad bar. As soon as I walked near the entrance I was met with the melody from "Hold Me Now" by Thompson Twins, which took me to a happy place instantly. The actual restaurant looked fine on the inside, and I think the lack of diners made it feel more spacious as well as peaceful. I could tell some of the upholstery at the booths were worn down and probably haven't been updated in years. They were understaffed at this particular time of the day, but the service here was very good for the most part except when it came time to actually cash out. The menus have a ton of pictures which many consider to be tacky, but I find it charming. I personally like seeing what my food might look like before commiting to it, so I had no problem with it. I decided to go with crab cakes with a side of tater tots because the menu was too big and I just figured "screw it". Before that I did request to have the salad bar option for an additional $5.99, which is not bad at all since you can fill your plate as much as you want. The plates for the salad bar are quite small. You have to get creative with how you stack your ingredients to get the most out of it. I was a little disappointed with the salad bar as some of the ingredients were obviously not fresh (most notably the spring mix, which had some wilted and moist leaves that I made sure to avoid). Aside from that the salad I prepared for myself was very good and the brown croutons at the very end of the bar are a must-have. As for my actual entree...that was the weakest aspect of my experience. Between the tater tots and the crab cakes, it was the former I enjoyed way more. The cakes themselves are quite small, very thin and they only give you 2 of them (roughly $20 altogether with my side). To be honest it's probably a blessing I only had the 2 cakes because they were obviously frozen patties likely made with low quality canned crab meat. That isn't to say I'm surprised, but the crust was burnt on mine and it left a weird after taste. Thankfully the exceptional tartar sauce helped me get through them, but again those tater tots were much better, and definitely saved my meal. So overall my trip to Ruby Tuesday was so and so. It's not a bad option, but there are better options available in that area especially. read more

Great salad bar! I see this as the only reason to come here. Ribs are okay. Fish and chips are awful! Hamburgers are bad! Cajun Pasta was edible, but overly salted and I wouldn't get again. Philly cheese steak sandwich was bland with little cheese and the fries were over seasoned making them inedible. I get specials for Ruby Tuesday -- actually alot of specials for this place - but every time I go I only enjoy the salad bar in spite of trying something new all of the time. Pretty much all of the menu food is over salted, over cooked, and just tastes like you are eating over seasoned garbage. Nice restaurant decor inside. Bathroom was a little dirty with tissue paper on the floor in several places so you have to watch where you step or drag some out with you. Service is good, but slow. Dead at 8 pm on Friday. Feel bad for this restaurant as I like the salad bar, but don't think the rest of the menu as executed is going to fill the place. read more

Food is always good, no question about that. Nice to see a lot of good reviews for dinner time. However, my wife and I have visited Ruby Tuesday on Michigan Avenue in Canton, MI several times for lunch. There is no indication that there is any staff in the building. While waiting at the hostess stand, we see a waitress come out from time to time to attend to the two or three booths that actually have people sitting in them, but never any motion at us that we are recognized being there and any "just wait a moment" signal. We've waited up to 15 minutes without a nod, a smile, nor indication that anybody saw us. This happened on at least three consecutive occasions. I have no complaints about the food or service when it actually happens but being seated and then followed up with a timely inquiry about our order, at lunchtime anyway, is completely lacking. read more

I always love coming here. I haven't eaten inside in a bit, but Tuesdays they always have great deals on their burgers and so I do carry out a lot! I also LOVE the salad bar. Went to Ruby Tuesday's in canton because the one in Saline shut down years ago. We came here specifically for the salad bar, and even more specifically their croutons lol The croutons are crunch on the outside and soft in the middle...Yum! For a few extra dollars you can get soup on the side with your salad bar, it is a soup of the day or broccoli cheese. Salad bar is self serve, with a ton of options to choose from. There's some pasta salads as well. It was a busy Friday night, and it did take 25 minutes after our food was finished to get the check- but we understood and our waitress was nice. We sat in the bar area, but there is regular dining if you would prefer. read more

We just ate at Ruby Tuesday for my birthday. Once again we had a great time. The food is great as always. My husband loves the Salmon very much. We recently ate at another restaurant and the Salmon was overly salty. He has never had a bad dinner at Ruby's. And when I order the Asiago chicken I always change it with no problem. Extra sauce and mushrooms. They always accommodate me. Anne the manager is a doll. She runs a great restaurant. We get seated immediately. The food comes fast. And the atmosphere is terrific. This is officially the last Ruby Tuesdays left in the metro Detroit area, not counting the one at the airport. My aunt had given me $50 worth of Ruby Tuesdays gift cards over the past 1-2 Christmases, and I finally found myself in the Canton area today, so I was able to do takeout. My parents and I used to go to the Novi Ruby Tuesday's on New Year's Eve, and the food was usually decent. There is a separate door for "To-Go Tuesdays" and I walked in there and gave them my order there, rather than over the phone, since I had a 30-minute drive back to Walled Lake after (I was getting takeout for my parents and I). Good service: the waitress/hostess took my order and said it would be about 20-25 minutes and she would bring it out to my car after. We ordered the following: -Me: Hickory Bourbon ribs with onion rings and zucchini. The zucchini had been available on online ordering some of the week but not all, when I had looked earlier, so I was pleased it was available; however, it was just okay - it could have used more salt. The ribs were good but I think I like their traditional BBQ sauce better than the Hickory Bourbon. The onion rings were okay but not super crunchy, guessing that's because of my 30-minute ride though. -My mom got two kids meals, the grilled chicken (which came with a huge side of your choice! She got tater tots) and the mac 'n cheese. She said both were good. My dad got the hickory bourbon burger with tater tots and said it was delicious. The star of the meal was definitely our dessert, although at $6.99 it was a bit small: the chocolate chip cookie skillet, with ice cream with chocolate and caramel. The ice cream held up surprisingly well for my car ride, too, although I put it in a cooler. The cookie was delicious and my mom and I split it; it's big enough for 1-2 people but might be a stretch for three people. Overall, due to the good service and food quality, I give this Ruby's a 3.5/5 stars, but I'll round up to 4 stars. I'm curious to see if it'll survive in the Canton area, since its previous locations (Clarkston, most recently, but also Novi, Sterling Heights, and others) have all closed; due to nostalgia, I hope this one stays open, though. read more

I met my gal pal of 18 years up at our favorite Ruby Tuesdays in Canton for dinner. Correction; this USED to be our favorite spot to have a kick-ass salad bar and drinks. Unfortunately, we had the worst service ever on Thursday, August 29th. We arrived around 5:30PM, and were seated in the bar area. It took forever to be served. There was no waitstaff to be found. Finally a hostess took our drink order and informed us that our waitress would be with us shortly. We ordered the $5 drink special, which were Mai Tais, and they were pretty good! After about 10 minutes, our waitress showed up and she was very apologetic. We placed our order of the 4-Way appetizer sampler and we each got the salad bar. My friend placed a "to go" order for her husband, but said we didn't want it until we were almost finished with our meals. We went and made our first salad plate and when we returned to our seats, my friend's to go order was on the table! She said it wasn't a big deal, and that it would be warmed up when she got home, but that was terrible service. Our sampler arrived shortly after and it was pretty good. Our waitress wasn't friendly at all, and when I ordered another drink, she tried to shame me! She even brought out our check way too soon. When I told her that I wanted another Mai Tai, she asked me if I was sure, and reluctantly grabbed the bill to add my drink! These drinks are NOT strong whatsoever, so I could definitely handle it. I am not surprised that most of the Ruby Tuesday restaurants are being shut down. This one should probably be next! read more

Dave and I are not big on Ruby Tuesday but we were enticed by the buy one entree get one coupon. We knew it would be busy at the restaurant so we were surprised to be seated right away. It was the wait for food that was long!! I think we waited close to 45 minutes for our food once we ordered. I understand they were probably busier than normal due to the coupon, but they knew well in advance and could have been prepared. It wasn't even as busy as I expected. There were empty tables yet a steady flow of people at the door. I really think it was a matter of them being under staffed. This is the reason for my 3 star rating. Our food was fine. My ribs could have warmer and the chicken tenders weren't as tender as I'd like them. They weren't very meaty and the meat was tough in areas. Definitely not something I'd order again. The ribs were tender and had good flavor but they could have used more bbq sauce. I enjoyed the dirty rice and took the sweet potato home. I ate it the next day and it was delicious - like dessert. Dave seemed to be fine with his food. He ate it all. Overall, although this location is convenient to us, this is not somewhere we would eat unless asked by friends. read more

Me and my family were looking for a quick nice and easy place to have lunch, we had a terrible experiance here, first when we were seated we waited 30 minutes just for someone to come get our drink order! then it took about 20 minutes just for our drinks to come out which was insane. so finally out waitress came to take our order and an hour went by and none of my family members got there food, so we left without paying or getting our food, and also the place was a mess our table was sticky and still had dirty napkins on it and the salad bar was a complete disaster, i do not recommend going here i was very unhappy! read more

We had had some issues before trying to order the emailed specials for the day using the app. Essentially they won't let you order what they emailed you ...you have to call it in. Ok. I call it in and I made the dinners the same just to be easier. The special was 10.99 for 6 oz steak dinner and 11.99 for 6 oz ribeye. (we are seniors so 6oz is ok). He shows up to pick up the order and instead of 2x 6 oz steaks we have 2 full size and full priced steaks. He gives up and just takes it because waiting another 30-45 minutes was worse. He brings the food home and it's also not cooked correctly. So the 25.00 special was 50.00 and not at all what we wanted. I have finally given up on Ruby!! read more

We ate here today for the 1st time...food was very good, but more importantly to me, our server (Jennifer S) was very attentive to my allergies to different foods. She brought my food out and said that the chef even checked the seasoning used on the steak bits to make sure it was allergen-free for me. And, she also mentioned that they never use msg in their foods, which is important for others that I know, as it triggers migraines for some. This is my new favorite restaurant! read more

We ordered fish and chips and the fish was so deep fried it tasted more like Peanut Brittle,not good and over priced.The server was nice!

Where do I begin? It's a Saturday night, we walk into the restaurant and we aren't even acknowledged for about 4-5 minutes. They were not busy at all surprisingly. When we asked if we could have a table for two the person seating us said "yeah". She then walks us to a dirty table (mind you there were tons of clean tables) that has one chair. She says "hold on while I get you a chair, oh and I'll have to wipe the table." We asked if we could just have one of the clean tables. She seemed surprised but she did let of have a booth. Mind you my girlfriend has to walk with a cane after a knee operation. We finally get seated and the waitress passes us by about 7 times before coming to our table and asking if we were ready to order. We were not offered drinks. We order our food and drinks at the same time. The waitress then says she will get our drinks right away. She walks off. About 10 minutes later, still no drinks. So I walk over to where she is. She is sitting at the table counting her tips. I agin request our drinks. She finally brings them over and starts talking about how they are short staffed. (Isn't everyone these days?) I am not sure how that applies to her forgetting our drinks. So now she goes on and talks about how she is a school teacher that lost her job during the pandemic but has worked at the restaurant for a while. She goes on about all of the lazy kids they are hiring. She then said her daughter works there but isn't one of the lazy ones. We finally get our food. The food was actually very good and it is the only reason I didn't give one star. While we were eating, and elderly couple near us requested that the blinds be closed because the sun was shining right in. They close the blinds. The waitress (same as ours) comes back and starts telling the lady that they had to argue with a customer sitting near the window who wanted to look out. Why on Earth would you come back and tell the lady that? Handle that stuff in-house. Now the lady feels bad. So after about 30 minutes, we finally get refills and the check dropped off. No offer for dessert just the check in the table. It takes her about 15 -20 minutes to bring the cash out machine over. She only did so because I held my card out in front of her as she was walking by. She had spent that 15-20 minutes gabbing away at a table. As for the interior of the restaurant. The salad bar (which we did not have) looked old and not very fresh. The wooden blinds on the windows are broken in several places. read more
