This is for the for the Queens Secret Theatre 10-10,44 Av,LIC 11101…read more November 8-2025 ,I saw the event on this great location, I must say ,nice and receptive people. By what I researched , it was created to give opportunities for artists ,which is great and also for the ones who are already in the industry to show and expanding their talent . From time to time this place comes with this wonderful Shortplay Festival . It is so exciting and so promising for the actors, directors and writers .However the competition ,turns in disappointment to see excellent work of the participants overlooked. The voting system is led from family members and friends. This current method is unfair to talented actors, writers ,and directors who give their best, but unfortunately the results depend on personal connections instead of artistic merit. A system led by qualified judges would make the festival stronger, fairer, and more true to its mission of supporting learning and creativity. Please reconsider it , to be an excellent place with fair judgments for all artists . If it continues like this ,I don't see the point of artist go through it.Thank you.

They are the true definition of a community theatre and one that keeps the arts scene alive in the borough. Does it seem like they have a better setup than previously? I seem to think so. While the venue is still incredibly small, it is a little less stuffy their than previous digs and a lot more modern. The waiting area feels like someone's living room, complete with seasonal decor and chairs / stools that feel like they were donated. Now known as the The Secret Academy, they've got a whole arsenal of classes aimed toward developing the next generation of actors. They aim to teach young folks everything from dance to drama to singing and have many current students involved in big time productions. They teach kids as young as 6 and work with high schoolers to prepare them for their next big thing. They host a number of shows throughout the year and I hope that during one of my next trips back that I can stop by and see their latest play. Here's hoping they'll be able to remain here for a very long time.

They are pretty new in the neighborhood and have some star students that goes to schools as good as Julliard! Likes: Renovation, pretty and modern. Front desk staffs are friendly and plays with the cute kids! And like I said, their YouTube channel has so many pretty music videos, really makes me miss playing piano. Need Improvement: Parking area? And their Saturday & Sunday morning schedule is COMPLETELY packed I can't really make my lesson plan early and go hangout the rest of the day.

Too bad when we got the program I can see ALL THE SONGS we missed from the first show. My niece loves music and loves singing at home so I took her for her first concert! We had a good time and she was dancing in her chair. Our show had piano, violin, guitar and a clarinet guy who was pretty good. One of the kids froze on stage which was cute and sad at the same time, but everyone clapped to help him. Looking at the program the youngest performer was like 4years old - who is still older than my niece. It was alittle confusing to find Musipire on yelp because there are three branches, but I think I will bring my niece back when she gets older.

I must say it was not always smooth sailing, but no place is perfect. My professors held me accountable for doing my part, they are smart, dedicated and approachable. I have put in the work that my professors set out for me, as every student should, and accomplished what I set out to do. See for yourself, and remember this is a school that is preparing you to have a professional career, think critically and make wise choices In life, if this is not your goal then, this is not the school for you. Nursing is a vocation, it's not a walk in the park. With self discipline, hard work and perseverance you can have your degree at St. Paul's School of Nursing In several months.

As a current student, I feel it's important to share some concerns about the way this school treats…read moreits students. Recently, we received an email stating that students are not permitted to enter classrooms before the scheduled class time so that instructors can "prepare the learning environment." However, in reality, many professors arrive exactly at the start time or even after class is supposed to begin. Meanwhile, students are expected to stand in hallways or find somewhere else to go even when we arrive early after work to study. The only alternative spaces are the library or cafeteria, both of which have very limited seating. It feels unreasonable to pay out of pocket for an education and not even be allowed to sit in an empty classroom while waiting. We then received another email about elevator use, which is understandable for accessibility reasons. However, the message stated that misuse could result in parent/guardian contact. This is a school of adults, and many of us are parents ourselves. Including language like that clearly shows how little the administration thinks of its students and reinforces the feeling that we are treated like children rather than responsible adults paying for a professional education. Another major concern is the lack of respect and support from some faculty members. For example, Professor Jayne Kier is extremely unapproachable. Students feel uncomfortable asking questions because responses are often sarcastic, dismissive, or met with long, intimidating stares. There is little guidance provided, yet students are made to feel as though they are wrong for seeking help. This creates a stressful and discouraging learning environment. Lastly, it often feels like students cannot safely voice concerns. When issues are brought up to administration, they are dismissed as complaints rather than taken seriously even though many of us are committed, adult learners who care deeply about our education and future careers. It is incredibly disappointing to be treated this way as paying adult students. We invest our time, energy, and money into this program, yet we are treated as if we are receiving a free service and should simply accept it without question. The tone and treatment are not only disrespectful, they are humiliating.
