I hail from the east coast. We relo'd to Colorado 2 years ago. I have been on the hunt for genuine east coast pizza, not thick crust, not greasy, just the New York style, thin crust so it flops when you pick it up and you have to fold it, well-seasoned tomato sauce and cheese. I had given up - hey I know I moved to a state that's not east coast and I just figured pizza was one of those things I'll have to miss. Not anymore - I found the genuine New York slices as this location today. We had great service and were served quickly, and the garlic knots were also legit. We will def be back and we were going to return and order an entire pie to go so I could stash it in our freezer - but we ended up having a family emergency and having to leave Manitou. This pizza FILLS you up!! Great environment on the inside and pretty fast ordering experience. Pizza is pretty good, but liking thin pizza is a requirement here. Got the regular (cheese) slice which was the best because it had sauce. The 4 white cheese and the mac and cheese slices were kinda like glorified cheese bread due to lack of sauce. You know for take out pizza in the mountains this place is legit. We'd had a long day of travel and finally settled into our Airbnb for a few days of rest when we were ready to find some food. If you've ever travelled with little kids you know that by the end of the day everyone is tired and the idea of leaving your bnb is just not on the table, so we found Ruffrano's via DoorDash and a quick search taught me that it appears to be a local chain. Since it would deliver and promised a NY style 'za we were sold. We ordered one of their specialty pizzas for the grown ups and some plain chicken wings for the kids. We went in to this place after hiking the incline, ready to eat, and when the incredibly old and rude cashier harassed us when we didn't tip on our to go order. When we explained we were trying to save money and not receiving service, he angrily kicked us out. It is never appropriate for a business to harass and abuse their customers to tip. Tipping is optional, and if they need them desperately enough to be the worst part of society, then they should not be in business. read more

I understand the coffin races are the busiest day of the year for these small business in this town which is good for them but the guy at the register who's always been there for years was so incredibly rude I absolutely will not ever give another penny to this place. The pizza is decent but absolutely not worth the awful service. Also I'd love a health inspector to come to this place because I know 100% it's not up to code. After hiking the treacherous Manitou Incline, I stopped here to fill my stomach and was greatly pleased. The pizza here was extremely cheap and delicious; it was on the thinner side which I usually don't like but I think this is the first thin pizza I truly enjoyed. In my opinion this is the best pizza in the state of Colorado. The service here was immaculate, the staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the town and some of the history behind the hike I did. My boyfriend got 2 slices of pizza and a drink for $9.99. The slices were HUGE! Crust crispy. Super hot pizza. Just enough sauce and cheese. Pepperoni was good. Boyfriend had the Hawaiian pizza, with bacon instead of Canadian bacon. Very good. He also got the hellfire pizza, super hot/spicy! The only thing is you can't special order your pizza slices for the specials. You just pick from the 6 pies they have in the counter. The knots were yummy-garlic, spicy and cinnamon with homemade icing. A slice with 3 garlic knots was less than $7. With a salad was pricier. And I think the knots that came with the salad were refrigerated with the salad since they were cold. But ordering by the slice was fast and delicious. If we had wanted to share a whole pizza, it would have taken just 20 minutes. Fun little place that could use a deep clean by had a nice vibe. read more
