Carteret Library is a nice size and has reference books, fiction and non-fiction books to check out, a children's room with books for children and young adults that also has a bathroom for only a child's use. They also have computers and printers, and they provide tutoring and other activities that help the community. Every Thursday morning they have a book reading for children that is followed by a craft, my mom takes my ( 2 year old ) son sometimes and it's a nice opportunity to get him out of the house and around more kids his age, he loves it. For adults, they have a book club. These are all features most libraries have, but I encourage everyone to visit their local library and see what is available to them. If we don't use our resources like the library, we will one day lose them and that would be a great loss to our communities. 5/5

This library has added a couple of additions throughout the years. It's large and very clean. The staff is very friendly and seemed to be very knowledgeable. There are three main floors to the library and computers abound, various reading rooms and a large conference room for private meetings. ESL meets twice a week to help people learn English as a second language. It's a free course throughout the year. Other civic events take place during any particular month, but are too numerous to mention. Restrooms are gender neutral. Most nights the library is open until 8PM. Read something, knowledge is good!!!

The library is known for it's Women's Studies and Performing Arts collections, but they offer materials and resources of all kinds. For the amount of space that they have, the library optimizes its use to the fullest. I sometimes frequent this place to find out what local events are going on in the Borough. Their CD selection is somewhat large. If you can't find what you're looking for, they will hook you up with the main branch in Shrewsberry, which is 2 miles down the road.
