I was looking for some new running shoes and I came across Run Republic because it's close to where I work. I'm not an avid runner so I had a lot of questions about what shoe would be right for me. All of the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable about their shoes and about running. Everyone who works there is an athlete that actually use the product that they sell so they can give a first hand review. I ended up buying the On Cloud Xs which are the best running shoe I've ever had by far. Every Saturday they have a community run with people of all skill levels. Sometimes they even have a representative from a company (On, Hoka, 361° to name a few) that bring demo shoes so you can run a few miles in them before you decide to buy them. Overall I had a great experience and actually learned a great deal about running and different styles of shoes on my first visit. Now I go every Saturday to their community run. read more

It's about time my butt gets into shape. I was scouring Groupon for a month bootcamp trial (because I believe in making small commitments... And I'm going to Costa Rica in a month.) I bought one for me and my mom at Run Republic and we decided to start last Wednesday. Little did we know... Wednesday is Core and Cardio. And Giselle was the trainer. She is super friendly, but hell yes she will kick your ass into high gear. It was high energy probably 90% of the time and sweat was dripping. It was crazy, my body hurt for 2 whole days! And that's exactly what I needed. Dynamic exercises, a motivational instructor and the right amount of pain to know it's actually working. Came back again this morning for the Push and Pull day. Hands down, back day is my favorite day. Great work out, cardio at a lower intensity and again, a full class. Great atmosphere, everyone wants to get fit and work hard. So far, great purchase! By the end of the month, if I see improvement, I would definitely consider signing up for a monthly membership. There's benefits being part of a smaller gym versus a chain, and it's the relationships you build with the PTs and the other members. Also, haven't used it yet, but they utilize a heart rate tracking system to make sure you're getting the most out of the work out. Pretty cool tech. They host a run club I think every Thursday, open to the public. If you're a runner in the area, not a bad option. See you... Tomorrow for Core and Cardio. LET'S DO THIS! I was first introduced to Run Republic by Nico! Nico is a cool dude who has a canny ability to interact with older adults, college athletes, and kids of all levels with an interest in running. He has a wealth of knowledge, both personally as a college runner, and academically from frequent books he reads. Run Republic is very community oriented, and has a gym/studio that helps athletes work on strength and cardio. The shop is very aesthetic, and you can tell the staff really cares about its image and products. I have bought at least 5 pairs of shoes and various apparel from their store. Don't forget to ask about their Saturday Community Run and their special deals! If you need a running coach, ask for Nico! read more

My son needed racing flats for a race the following day and Run Republic saved the day. Called to ensure they were open and I believe the owner answered. She was very courteous and asked for us to come right in. Upon entering, an employee immediately acknowledged us even though he was finalizing a transaction. Within a minute or two, he made recommendations and we were on our way home. Fast, efficient, friendly. I especially enjoyed all of the insight he shared. My son seemed to dig it as well. This was a pleasant experience and I'm sure to be back. They do some type of aerobic classes in their gym portion. Folks really seemed to be getting a good workout. i came with bery low expectations cuz i was on a groupon deal: $11 for 10 classes!! its so ridiculously cheap i figured id go a few times and wouldnt even mind wasting it since its dirt cheap. turned out to be a great workout woth helpful trainers and clean facilities! their trainers separate each class of 20-30 ppl into groupsof 4-5 and have you do certain workouts at each station for a few minutes, then rotate. theres cardio, strength training, light lifting, and the classes are different daily to work on diff areas. the trainers are great with monitering for correct posture and everyones comfort levels, they gently push me when they can tell im slacking (im always slacking) and when some people have been legitimately uncomfortable, trainers had good knowledge on helping them feel better. overall great gym. theyre a little pushy on joining membership after the groupon so you have to be sure to cancel 5 days before they plan to charge to avoid a recurring monthly fee. they also sell super healthy fresh pressed fruit and veggiejuices! aand shoesss. read more

Staffs are friendly and knowledgeable, and there are several good brands of shoes, sandals and insoles to choose from. To me, the best part is the food-scanner; it gives you the details about my feet (and my wife's) and therefore we can choose the most suitable ones for us. This shop is highly recommended. read more
