If you're looking for a new brunch place, look no further. Ruperts at the Edge has been getting some great press lately, so with that, my bestie and I decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed :) Ruperts has a great set up of booth, bar, table, and patio seating. They have cute little witty sayings strewn about their walls, so those are fun to find and read. Prepare yourself for a little bit of a wait if you go for brunch on the weekend. This just means Ruperts is worth the wait. Check the bar seats though, as those are first come, first serve and they serve the entire menu there as well. We lucked out and two spots were open for us so we did not have to wait for a table. The bartender who was also our server was very nice and gave some excellent recommendations. Rupert's classic reuben was a great suggestion. Add sweet potato fries, and you'll be in heaven! We also could not pass up the cinnamon roll that was so elegantly advertised in front of us! When in Sloan's Lake, Ruperts will be my choice of restaurants. As with most brunch places, Ruperts opens early in the morning - at 7am and closes early at 2:30pm.

Boy, this place reminded me how much I just love a breakfast spot. We really enjoyed eating here and will definitely be back. I had the classic breakfast plate, with perfect scrambled eggs, yummy potato cakes (they were like a cross between a hash brown and a mashed potato, heavy on the green onion flavor and so delicious), good buttered sourdough toast, and turkey bacon. My husband had their classic burger; he added cheddar cheese and jalapeno bacon, and we both had oat milk cappuccinos. The coffee was good. Everything we had really hit the spot and was exactly what we wanted. We did have about a 25 minute wait on a busy, gorgeous Sunday afternoon. We opted to sit inside to be seated quicker, since most people were waiting to be seated out on the patio overlooking Sloan's Lake. Such a great spot! But the inside was totally fine too; I liked the basic, diner vibe of the place.

Tidbit! Order the mimosa bottle. At $18.50, it was six glasses for the table and one of the better deals you'll find at a Denver brunch spot. Also, call ahead and put your name on the waitlist before you even park. There's a lot, plus street parking throughout the neighborhood. And who knows, you may want to walk given the serious portion sizes. We were so stuffed with our main dishes that we could only get through two of the three pancakes in the gluten-free apple cinnamon pancakes; the overstuffed belly was worth it. The other delight was the chicken fried steak, which was perfectly fried. Our only complaint would be about the biscuits; ask for extra gravy on the side, and that's not going to be a problem. If you have picky eaters by the way, the frittata is customizable, so no excuses! And again, put your name on the waitlist. The patio looks straight out onto Sloan's Lake, so the dining room hums with a packed Saturday energy. The staff leans into the occasion: two servers in brunch-themed shirts, our waiter in a Tito's polo, and a hostess whose low-slung jeans sent me straight back to high school. It all adds up to a place that's homey and happy you showed up.

Had been wanting to try Ruperts at the Edge for a while after hearing all the buzz. Went on a Saturday, and it was busy, as expected. We were told the wait would be around 20-25 minutes. Bar seating is first-come, first-served, so we lucked out when two spots opened up minutes after we arrived. After we settled in, our friendly bartender brought us menus and asked if it was our first time at Ruperts. When we shared it was, we asked what some of her menu favorites were to help us narrow down our choices from the breakfast/lunch menu. They make their own corned beef, so I went with Rupert's Classic Reuben with fries. I asked for the 1000 Island on the side (to dip my fries!) Because Ruperts uses Gruyère cheese instead of Swiss, the sandwich was already creamy and packed with flavor. Tempted by the framed ad for their giant cinnamon roll, my bestie & I split half a roll for dessert and took the other half home. Ruperts was a fun place to people-watch and to look at the "Wall of Toasters" that adorned one side of the restaurant--an ode to the food they serve daily from 7-2pm on weekdays, 2:30pm S/S.

A very quick stop for breakfast on a rainy Tuesday before we headed into Denver. Super easy to get a table and the service was wonderful. Parking was limited as it's a rather small lot out front. The flash and eggs were perfect and I love that ask you the desired crispness of your bacon to be cooked. It came out perfectly well done. Prices are very reasonable compared to some other spots.

5 stars! Sat at the bar and had super quick service. Weird note - loved watching the bartenders - very clean and loved that they had separate coffee pitchers for all of the milk alternatives when making lattes. I had the corned beef hash - it was so good with real corned beef and the potatoes had the best mouth feel - perfectly cooked eggs. Came with a side of pancakes (or other options) and they were soooo addictive (chocolate chip) My friend had the breakfast sandwich on a gluten free English muffin and loved it! So nice to have gluten friendly options. The mimosa was the perfect ratio of 98% wine and 2% OJ! I got an iced latte and he made my very specific order perfectly :)

Torn between three and four, but I'm going to give them a four because the very first time I came in here a few years back they blew me away. I haven't enjoyed it as much in recent years, but it is still pretty good. Prices keep going up, but that is true no matter where you go. Service here tends to be fast. In the summer, when the weather is nice, and you can get a patio seat, watching the rising sun, that is a thing of beauty indeed.

Found Rupert's on Yelp and BringFido app. Came for Sunday breakfast - beautiful weather, sat on the patio. Place was fairly full, which is always a good sign. Staff immediately brought water out for my pup, and were very attentive and friendly to her. Ordered a scramble, pancake and potato cake - all very good, tasty, etc. Pancakes were a bit cool, but not a major deal. Good coffee as well. Would definitely come back... nice experience all around. I have driven past this place a bunch of times and now I can finally say I've been in! It's a great spot to get brunch with a girlfriend and yap away. Our server was incredibly friendly. The iced coffee was delicious. I got the granola bowl with a chocolate chip pancake, it was great! I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.

The wait was very long, but we had a large party. Most everything was good. Honestly, all of it is good, except one thing. The potatoes. Are they hash browns? Are they mashed potatoes? Everyone at the table was commenting on them. They are also over seasoned with some chive flavor. They appear as if they are supposed to be a sort of hash brown patty type thing, but they were mushy, and I don't know anyone who wants chive flavored mashed potatoes for breakfast. This matters a lot to me as good hash browns are a big part of breakfast and they are not hard. I think they are overthinking the breakfast potato. If they had a normal hash brown option that was anything other than these odd mashed potato cake things, then it would have been five stars. the lox benedict was fantastic. My sister really enjoyed the gluten free options. My sons only complaint on the bacon and eggs were the potatoes. The patio and view are nice. Parking was tight.

Wooo! First review for the year and it's going to be about some yummy brunch. Came across this place randomly through Yelp and overall, it's an excellent place if you're craving for some delicious brunchie food! Highlights of my visit: Parking: There is a lot around the place, in front and in the back! Wait Time: None ~ came here roughly around 11:45am ish on a Friday morning and got lucky with an open table. Ruperts was surprisingly full for a Friday morning! Food: Tried the following items: 1. Banana Nut Bread French Toast: Love the light and crispy texture of the toast! It's not too dense or heavy but could use a teeny bit more sweetness. 2. Corn Beef Hash: 10/10 - delicious dish! I love how the potato mix was done with the beef and left me craving for more for the savoriness and such 3. Southwest Benedict: Can't go wrong with this! Absolutely a fan of the chile sauce that came on the side and the pulled pork was juicy and tender. Yummmms! 4. Vibe of the place was definitely a mix of diner feel and coziness. Would swing by here again for brunch if I'm in the area!

Cute patio with great service and even better breakfast/brunch! Love this spot on a beautiful day in Denver. I got the breakfast burrito last time and it was HUGE and delicious. We also got the cinnamon roll to-go which was also HUGE and only $5 that day ($6 normally). Even heated up the next day it was 10/10! They also have a great weekly specials menu (see pic attached). Love!

Finally. I have been on a hunt for good eats in Denver and at least we have a good brunch place. I've seen this place as we walk Sloan lake often and luckily they're dog friendly. We had the mimosa bucket, he got the banana nut bread french toast and I got the corned beef hash. Both were really good and had great flavor. I got the potato cakes which were pretty good. Overall, we were very satisfied and the service was great. We've decided this will be one of our go to brunch spots. Highly recommend. read more

Would give this place a firm 3.5 stars but I'll round up for kindness. Fast wait list for a saturday morning although would have been nice to join it online and efficient service. Food was overall good: I got the biscuits and gravy, which were a little over peppered but great meat. Eggs well cooked. My partner got a custom scramble which they mixed up the cheese on and kind of a small portion but otherwise great! Lovely to have 2 pancakes as a side that comes with it, although they weren't the fluffiest. The Potato Cakes were by far the best part of the meal, so unique and good! They have this yelp "hi five" thing that no one in the restaurant knew how to use so they should probably take it down. Overall great brunch place but nothing super special read more

I've thought a few time to come to Rupert's, but every time I call the wait is about 40 mins. And when I'm calling, I'm already hungryyy. This time I slightly planned ahead and called, and they let us put our name down on the waitlist via phone!! There's indoor and outdoor seating, so they'll ask for your preference. If you have time to kill, there's a lake across the way to take a little walk. We ordered the chicken fried steak and southwest Benedict. Both were delish. I love gravy and even more so on biscuits. Biscuits were nice and moist and gravy just topped it off. I also love potatoes in any form and their potato cakes were a nice little twist on morning potatoes/hash brown. We didn't order any alcohol but it seemed like everyone around us had the buckets on the table for the champagne and mimosas. Instead we all got coffee. The iced mocha wasn't too too sweet and we all gulped that down in a few mins. Rupert's is worth the try. But don't forget to CALL ahead and put your name on the WAITLIST. Also the prices are pretty reasonable. Brunch items that aren't $20/plate. Count me in. read more

We went here for brunch with friends and all loved it. The food we had was all delicious, great service, great vibes! We especially loved that we could call ahead and get on the list in the morning, so that we knew what time to go. We had a toddler in our group and that is always critical so that we aren't waiting in long lines in the Denver brunch scene (and in the cold!) read more

The restaurant is quaint and has a laid back atmosphere! Great for a quiet morning start. The food was fresh and very quick. I had the chicken fried steak and it was phenomenal. TLDR; massive breakfast burrito, great burger and nice atmosphere near Sloans lake. The service is usually pretty good and there are great views of Sloans lake in front. Ruperts is consistently delicious! A friend of mine, and I found this location when looking for a middle ground to meet for brunch. Now Ruperts is our destination of choice for our meetings! We have ordered many things off of the menu and everything has been delicious, the service has been, fun and hospitable, the atmosphere is welcoming and a great place to discuss business or have our banter. ONE OF THE GREATEST EXPERIENCES I HAVE HAD!! Tom, my server was exemplary, and knew exactly what my Aspen, a service dog needed; CRISPY BACON, I'm a veggie and he brought the more incredible eggs benedict with spinach and delectable sauce, the most incredible potato pancakes and I am NOT a big eater, I ate it ALL!! Tom's service was exemplary, every touch, every need without asking, I'm not a coffee drinker and caught on before I could ask for Chai, huge cup. Tom allowed me time to get settled and work on wifi. Then I had to ask, since growing up in Europe and South America, I know food and taste; "My compliments to the Chef!" Tom stated it was the owner's day in the kitchen and told me about his past. The food was beyond Soulful Food, I felt invigorated and healthy, Aspen my service dog was very happy with the nice plate of delicious crispy bacon, Rupert's, has a lovely patio, dogs are invited along with families and children, parking is easy, and right by Sloan's lake for a walk-off-the delicious food with your dog of course! Generally quick and easy brunch option right on sloan's lake. Diner vibes with carpeted interior and a hearty breakfast menu! Service was friendly and the food came out fast. The Benedict with the pork was average but the truffle scrambled eggs were tasty! Full of truffle. Their potato sides that come with the breakfast entrees are a mashed potato texture with a crispy exterior.. fried mashed potatoes? Tasty! They have patio seating that has umbrellas but be prepared for a wait! read more

Overall I would say the food was average. We did get the banana bread French toast for the table and that was quite good. We sat outside which is pretty much in the parking lot which was pretty loud. Regardless it was nice that they had outdoor seating, since dogs are allowed and you got a view of Sloans lake. The staff was very nice and the service good. It was not too busy, we were able to get a table pretty quickly. I will note that they do takeout, which could be fun if you wanted to go sit in the park across the street. read more

Long waits for what feels like a divey breakfast joint. Nothing terribly special, staff was kind and delightful but truly nothing to write home about. Got a spicy bloody and a bottle (as they don't do bottomless) for mimosas! They do offer a few juice options. I got the classic sloans breakfast. Their potato cakes were pretty yummy! My partner got the southwest Benedict and stated it was lacking in flavor. Overall, decent spot but don't think I'll find myself going out of my way to come back. read more

PROS: this place was very nice. The atmosphere was breakfast-like and had a nice touch with toasters on the wall. The food tasted well, prices were good, and the menu had a good variety. Beautiful view of the water too CONS: it took a long time for the kitchen to make our simple breakfasts and the waitress had a attitude towards us OVERALL: not the most friendly or fast service but if you're looking for quality food with a view this is the place to go to read more

Great service! Nice outdoor seating near the lake. Greet options for vegetarians. I enjoyed sharing the gigantic cinnamon roll with others at the table. My breakfast choice was to build an egg scramble that included tomatoes, spinach, and feta. It was delicious and was accompanied by a choice of bread (I chose the biscuit and was not disappointed) and fried potato cakes. Delicious! read more

Had brunch here and it was such a good experience. The food was great and the place had such a lively vibe on the patio, but our server Wren really stood out. She gave us awesome recommendations and honestly went out of her way to make sure we had a great time. She was just super on top of everything and genuinely kind and positive! I do not say this often, and it has been awhile since I have, but I was impressed! From the space, to the food, to the service we were both knocked out of our socks! We ordered two of the specials. Sausage quiche, perfectly seasoned with the right amount of spinach. We also got the French toast stuffed with lemon cream cheese, tart and didn't even need syrup because it was so good. I ordered a hot cocoa and could tell from the first sip it was made from real chocolate, ghirardelli it turns out. I opted for no whip cream and it came with a chocolate design. Cute, delicious, and it had a sticker over the mouth part! Our server was a delight. Attentive but not annoying and polite. He was always there when we needed her and she recommended the amazing dishes we ate. Even getting our check back was neat and impressed my OCD side. It was a rainy morning so we sat inside. Friendly caring staff. Large outdoor seating area. Great selections of beer. Their Poke bowl, except for the what seemed like inferior quality (slightly grilled) ahi, was very nice. Next time the three of us (we all were disappointed in the quality of the ahi) will order the "poke" bowl because of all the nice items in it however ordering with a different protein. I'm 78 years old and have eaten poke/ahi many hundreds of times and to me here the ahi was not good quality. The restaurant itself isn't very environmentally friendly including only offering plastic silverware and throwaway plates. 18% gratuities are automatically added. read more

This locally owned breakfast/brunch/lunch gem serves up some seriously tasty plates of house made fare! Some of our specialties include gluten-free Apple Cinnamon Pancakes, Smothered Breakfast Burrito with scrambled eggs and slow roasted pulled pork, and our Southwest Benedicts - poached eggs, pulled pork and green chili atop our corn fritters. History

Established in 2014.

We, Susan and Tim, purchased this location in March 2014. Previously it had been called Breakfast on the Edge by the prior owner. We immediately began improving the food and décor and then put the new name above the door. Our restaurant is named after a late great uncle of Susan's. Warm and friendly, Rupert was a bit of character and he loved good food. We want our guests to feel as comfortable here as Susan did with her Uncle Rupert.

Meet the Business Owner: Tim N.

Both the children of restaurant owners, we grew up in the business. Tim started off as a dishwasher in his parents' Italian restaurants in Denver while Susan cashiered for her father's Taco John's franchised restaurants in the Twin Cities, Minn. Tim later went on to manage Golden Corral restaurants while Susan once owned three coffee shops. We met in South Dakota and for a year owned the first food truck in the Black Hills. We moved to the metro Denver in 2012 to fulfill a dream of having their own restaurant.

This morning I visit Rupert for the first time I sat outside in the balcony. I started watching the menu and the first thing I watch my favorite breakfast steak and eggs and this beautiful waitress ask me if I was ready and I told yes I am so I ask for the steak and eggs but for my suprised it didn't last not even more than 10 minutes and there it was my steak and eggs with white toast and potatoes oh my God the potatoes was so damn good. Now don't get me wrong the whole breakfast was delicious but those potatoes were awesome. I give it a 10 and the waitress was so good at her job I give her 10 too great service and her name is Brandi Perry people ask for her she is f awesome. read more

Been there a few times and had something different each time. The name of the dish is what I remember, not what it was called on the menu. 1st time- pork green chili Benedict - not bad. Green chili needs more season. Fritter was ok. I'd rather have something that crumbles more. Soaking up that chili sauce. 2nd time- plain burger. Fries were delicious. Burger tasted like cinnamon at times? Maybe French toast? 3rd time- chicken friend steak. This is the hang over cure!!!! Its like having biscuits and gravy with a big piece of chicken friend steak. This diner had a typical yet charming ambiance. The waitstaff exhibited great friendliness. Although the food took a bit more time than expected, it turned out to be quite enjoyable. The mimosas they served were of decent quality. As for the banana nut French toast, it was undeniably delightful. If I were to voice a single complaint, it would be regarding their practice of using the same knife for both strawberries and onions, which proved to be quite bothersome. read more

This spot is a must! I have been coming to Ruperts at the Edge for a month, and it's always a great experience. The staff is so nice! The server is so warm and welcoming each time I dine here. The restaurant is always so busy, but the food comes out quickly and hot! Some must-eats are chicken and waffles, French toast, and their Benedict. Great spot to have brunch with your friends! Rupert's is easily the best brunch spot in town. The food is amazing, they have wonderful rotating specials, amazing service from some of the best waitresses I've ever met, and the best location with a perfect view of Sloan's lake. No matter when you come, you have Natasha, Sam, Monica and the rest of the staff there to make your time here the best it could be. If you're looking for a spot to brunch, go to Ruperts and never leave. We definitely haven't. read more

This place is AMAZING. We have breaksfast there at least once a week. The staff is super friendly always greeting us and asking how we're doing. The food is delicious, I've tried almost everything on the menu and it's all top notch. We get there very early in the morning to beat the brunch crowd, sometimes you can wait up to 40 minutes for a table during peak hours. Can't recommend this place enough. read more

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! We were seated promptly, and our waitress was incredibly friendly. I ordered the Truffle Scramble with bacon, and it was absolutely delicious. The addition of a potato cake and pancakes made it even better. My boyfriend tried the Lox Benedict and really enjoyed it. Highly recommend this place for a great meal! read more

Honestly one of the best brunch experiences ever! Great selection and unlimited mimosas! Natasha, our server, was wonderful. We rode a motorcycle in and the team offered to store our gear for us. Food tasted great, I'm only giving 2 stars because the menu said it was a 4 egg omelette and there is no way. Every place I get a 3 egg omelette I have left overs this was a 2 egg omelette so false advertising. I am surprised no one has brought this up unless I just happened to get the last 2 eggs in the place. read more

I have 5 kids. So, going out is rare for us. It's very difficult. But on this occasion, it was smooth sailing. Our waitress was the best, she took care of us to a T. She didn't seem bothered by the rowdiness and made sure that everything came out to perfection. We will be coming back to see her all the time! read more
