Last night went down to Rural King to return some ammo (son bought the wrong kind) and when we went up to the service counter, we heard from across the registers a yell "That side is closed. You won't get service over on that side". Keep in mind there was no sign or anything to notify us. She came over and said they don't return shells anymore. I asked for a manger and she point to her name tag.... It said customerservice not manager. I said are you a manger? She replied O I guess you what a store manger and rolled her eyes. Manager came over and said "ya"... I just wanted to make sure that she was correct and we can't return Ammo? She said sure and walked off....... That is fine if you can not return Ammo (with a receipt) but there is no reason for customer service to be like that. As far as the rest of our experience, it was hard to look past the dirt on the floors, shelf's a wreck and the place a mess. You can do better Rural King. We won't be back.

I love an occasional shopping trip to the farm supply store. Rural King is a good one. Lots of merchandise, clean, and free popcorn while you shop. There aren't that many stores around where you can buy Carhartt clothing, animal feed, and automotive supplies all in the same place. I'm sure I'll be back when the mood strikes.

I just had surgery and I thought I would give it a whirl just to see if I could bring up anything closer to Saint Charles so that I could get chicken food closer to home To my surprise, I found a location in Saint Charles and I never heard of it before and there were no reviews so I thought I would still drive up to it just to see. It is such a quaint, a little what seems like a small town country store. However, there is literally everything you need inside. We have chickens, dogs, and much more, and there's everything in the store that we could possibly need. Since I did mention, I previously just had surgery I asked the gentleman as soon as I walked in if he didn't mind helping me lift it out to my car. I told him exactly what I needed. He didn't walk me down the aisle. He knew exactly what I needed. He rang me out and brought it to my car and talk to me for about five minutes. I came from a small town in now live in the big city as I feel it is, and this location was so great with customer service, and made me feel like I was back in my small town Forget farm and home we will definitely be coming here for every thing we need from now on! I was in and out within less than two minutes. They even fill propane tanks for you for less than $14.

Let's face it, if you own a John Deere lawnmower you know that it's a quality piece of equipment…read more Also you know that parts aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for. This dealer has a huge selection of parts and equipment but more importantly they're fair and honest especially Larry Martin. My model 115 was sputtering and spitting when I first started it so I pulled near the garage to diagnose the problem. Luckily I had already purchased a tune up kit so I changed the oil, the spark plug, the fuel filter, and the air filter. The spark plug was nasty so I figured that was it. But it still wouldn't start, so I start yanking hoses off and making sure the fuel flowed and it did so I was at a loss. I knew I needed a new gas cap and I thought the fuel pump was bad so I was going to buy one of those. When I got there I explained everything to Larry who suggested that I charge the battery. Personally I thought that was nuts as it seemed to turn over just fine. His advice was to hold off on the fuel pump until I tried that. Well lo and behold after being on a trickle charger all night it started right up and ran perfectly. Service like that is hard to come by and I'm grateful! They have my business forever...

I can't go long without the mower with multiple acres to mow weekly. No one has ever called back. I ended up diagnosing the issue, drove 45 minutes to Dutzow to buy a starter, and between AI and me, we fixed it ourselves. Doug at Dutzow is "going to look into it" after I stopped in his office on the way out. Not holding my breath......
