On several occasions I have used a process server, usually rather disappointed in the end. But not with Rush in Portland. With each stage in the process of service I was impressed with how well this company performed. It was a rather unusual situation, and this guy went the extra mile to get the job done. UPDATE: Yesterday, 10/17/17, more than one month after my last un-responded to email, our office received an invoice from Rush for the attempts at service in California by their independent vendor there. The invoice included 2 charges for expedited service that were never discussed with or agreed to by me or my client. They also had not discounted the regular service charges in any way, as I felt was warranted by the experience and had requested in my last email. I promptly emailed Rush again to express my displeasure with this invoice. Within 90 minutes, Rush responded with an apology and a new invoice waiving all charges. Because, in the end they saw their way to making the situation right, I have elevated my rating by 1 star (to a neutral 3) and will try to make an effort in the future to give Rush Process Service the opportunity to earn my trust and business again. read more

Rush is amazing!! I have been using Rush for over 10 years. The reason is because they are reliable, affordable, and always go the extra mile to get the job done. They have saved my butt a number of times and on short notice. They are fairly priced. They avoid any additional fee if possible. There have been occasions where additional charges appeared on our bill and given the services requested these charges have always been reasonable considering all the foot work they did to arrange and coordinating with the out of town process servers or Sheriff. Their integrity as a company and their ongoing commitment to excellence is evidenced by their response to the 3 star review also posted here on Yelp. In an effort to make it right they waived the entire fee. That means not only did they waive the fee owed to them for their service, but they also absorbed the cost of the out-of-town process server as well. In my opinion there literally is nothing more that they could have done to make it right. I would have expect nothing less from the owner Mike or any other person associated with this business. Over the past ten years he has proven to me that he as well as all of his process servers and staff are good people. They do their best to treat everyone fairly and with respect, even those that they have to serve. I will continue to use Rush Process Service. I am confident that I will get great service at a fair price. I would encourage anybody else that wants fast, affordable and dependable service to do that same. read more

I used Rush Process Service (RPS) to have my daughter's ex-boyfriend served with a restraining order a few weeks ago. My daughter had filed the order with the court this month, but after two weeks the sheriff still had not even tried to serve the order. Because her ex-boyfriend was violent and threatening to kill my daughter (in addition to stalking her at home), it was very frightening to know that the cops couldn't do anything until he was served. So I called Mike at RPS to have the order served (since I had seen several other good reviews online). Mike was great. He sent out the process server on the day we spoke and he was able to serve the ex-boyfriend after three days. Because the ex-boyfriend was trying to dodge the server, they had to do an extended stake-out on the guy, but were able to serve him just two days later. Mike also kept me informed on all the details during the days they were trying to serve the ex-boyfriend. Once a person is served, RPS also files the Declaration of Service not only with the court (for the local cops' data base), but they also file the Declaration with all the sheriffs' offices in the Tri-County area so that they have the person in their data base. It just takes RPS a few hours after service to upload the Declaration to all the relevant law enforcement offices. It was a huge relief to know that her ex -boyfriend was served. Since I am a paralegal at a mid-sized law firm, I advised all the legal assistants in our office that they should use RPS for process serving and/or to file any documents with the court if needed, as RPS is very good at what they do. My office practices a lot of Washington law and Mike said they handle Washington State matters as well. I would highly recommend RPS for process serving and/or filing of documents with the courts. I was very impressed with the job they did for me. I have used other legal messenger services with my job but they were not nearly as effective as RPS was. RPS is the only company I will use from now on. read more
