Their lunch specials for $10 or $12 are wallet friendly and are filling too! Mom and I had the choice of one their super large pizza slices and choice of garden, Caesar or Greek salads. Plus you get their super delish seasoned flat bread with dipping seasoned oil complimentary which is to die for served warm by the basket. My son ordered the half of chicken parm sandwich on French bread with choice of salad. The sandwich looked more like a full sandwich. Food from here is usually good. We generally DD or UE food, so I can't really say much about the service. The Pastas are good, pistachio chicken pasta is a fave. Spaghetti Bolognese is pretty good, and Eggplant parm. Dipping bread is good if it's fresh. read more

Stopped by for a yelp elite promotion and boy am I glad we did! Firstly, we were greeted by Alexis who was polite and you could tell through the mask she had a smile on her face. We ordered the garlic knots and she recommended getting alfredo sauce with them and I think it's my new favorite thing! My significant other loved the garlic knots and thought they were amazing! You get alot more than one might think. For our medium pizza we got extra mozzarella, Pepperoni, and fresh jalapenos. The pizza was absolutely fantastic the ingredients tasted fresh and the dough was homemade. It wasn't greasy at all just delicious! Though fair warning their jalapenos are very fresh and very hot! One of the first places we stumbled upon after we moved here was Russo's New York Pizza. After a very long day of unpacking and trying to set up our new household, we remembered seeing a pizza place next to the HEB and thought we would try it out. What a fabulous find! We were warmly greeted and promptly seated. We ordered a beer and looked through the menu. My wife wanted pizza so we ordered a New York Village pizza. I have to say, this was one of the best pizza's and authentic tasting New York pizzas I have ever had. I and have tried a lot of pizzas. The New York Village Pizza had crumbled Italian sausage, cured pepperoni, Canadian bacon, beer, mushrooms, olives roasted peppers and Wisconsin mozzarella with Russo's own pizza sauce. This was a thinner crust pizza that was really good and did not overwhelm the pizza with too much crust. The sauce was different and really tasty but did not take over the taste of the pizza. Then throw in crumbled real Italian sausage and cured pepperoni, this made the pizza for me. So full of flavor, I already look forward to going back for this. The service was outstanding and we had one really great meal. We have returned and tried the Calzones for lunch and they were equally delicious! And I am not a big fan of Calzones. But there is so much more to Russo's menu that we want to try. I believe that this will be one of our favorite places to stop in to have a bottle of wine a bite to eat and enjoy a nice relaxing evening here. So... the general manager reached out in response to my review, and that is the only reason I'm updating my rating. He did what anyone could ask, which was comp us an identical meal. I'm not going to lie though, while the pizza was better, they still left the jalapenos off one pizza, and the canadian bacon pizza looked like it was transported at an angle (it was pushed against the side of the box and the cheese had slid over to one side). My wife took pictures of it (included) so that we don't sound like jerks. We're not implacable customers, at all, I am however, just not impressed by the food here. I am nonetheless, appreciative of the effort made by the store/general manager. My vote would still be that you're better off getting your Italian food at Joe's here in Conroe. read more

We were warmly greeted upon arriving and were promptly seated in an appropriate social distanced seat. We got there after the traditional lunch crush so it was quite. We were served focaccia bread with spiced olive oil to munch while we looked over the menu. We were there for a Yelp event so we focused on the items available for the event and settled on a non-included appetizer of Calamari - cooked fresh and very good. Then ordered lunch, a medium pizza for me and a fettuccini in vodka sauce with chicken for my husband. Both the dishes were good though I will say that I prefer a spicier sauce on my pizza. I actually enjoyed a take of the pasta in the vodka sauce more. My husband was just the opposite so it is really just a personal preference. Everyone that we saw and those that served us were masked and that is nice right now. We didn't understand why this restaurant wasn't rated a solid 4, everything we ate and all those we interacted with was a solid 4. We will be visiting again! read more

Absolutely horrible staff. I ordered delivery off DoorDash and there were no dashers for my order. So I called and asked "If I cancel my order on DoorDash because there is no drivers can I still come pick it up with no problem?" The employee answered "Yes, you can still come pick it up." So I canceled the order on DoorDash. They refunded me the fees and tip and still charged me for the food, understandable... I show up to the restaurant to pickup my pizza and the employee at the counter said "So I will charge you for the pizza but not the sides." We proceeded to go back and forth. My main point of frustration being that she should have explained that over the phone. She never responded back when I said that. She ended up calling her manager, which she said she already talked to and he said she hast to charge me. I'm unsure if that was true because when she called him, he said something that just made her give me my pizza. The point is that the employees are very arrogant, rude, and just plain unhelpful. I hope that the management makes some changes to make this place worth another shot. read more

Today was NOT the day to eat here. We previously had the pizza picked up & ate at home, we really enjoyed the flavor combinations especially the fig pizza. HOWEVER TODAY WAS A DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE. We ate in the restaurant. The table was dirty, the high chair was filthy when wiped with a baby wipe, the surrounding tables had crumbs yet they weren't busy. 1 of the chairs at our table was patched with duct tape. We watched the employee use the same rag to wipe the table top that you eat off of and the chair that you seat your rear end on. Now to the food....there was a LIVE BABY COCKROACH IN OUR SALAD!!! We stayed and ate the pizza that came out even though the arugula on it had seem better days, wilted & some pieces yellowed. The server did take the salad off the bill and gave a few dollar extra discount which was kind but the damage had already been done. Will not be returning. read more
