Well, this was the third restaurant we tried for a Wednesday afternoon lunch. Unfortunately we didn't like the burgers here. We each had the Divine Intervention. Burger, blue cheese crumbles, grilled onions. Sounded really good, but it ended there. Sub par hamburger. The shared order of fries were not much better. The ambience here is not as fresh feeling as it used to be. Inside and outside: both were seemingly uncared for. I hope they can bring this back, it used to be a fresh , clean space. Rustic on the Green is in a great location, surrounded by a variety of other spots to explore. One thing to note is that if you need water, you'll have to grab it from a nearby brewery. I ordered the Sacred burger and the loaded tater tots. The burger was absolutely amazing--definitely a must-try if you're visiting. The flavors were on point, and it left me more than satisfied. When in Albuquerque, I heard you must have a green chili cheeseburger Thanks to Yelp, I think I found the best in town!! The brioche bun was fresh and toasted. The burger was perfectly cooked, lettuce/tomato was fresh and the green chilies were spicy with a nice roast on them. The tater tots were so crispy and tasty. Ordered at the counter and was given a pager so I headed to the brewery next door until it was ready. Service was quick and the staff were friendly. However, their bread was always changing and there wasn't consistency regarding the type of break that would come with the burger that's why 4 stars. I've only been here once and look forward to coming back and trying a few other burgers. I got the divine intervention. Love the name! The burger was cooked to order. Service was good. So this is a burger that has blue cheese on it and a balsamic reduction. They were a little bit surprised when I asked for some mustard on the side. So overall really good burger can't complain. However, I wish there had been a bit more blue cheese. The bun was toasted but somewhat crapped I asked her utensils in order to cut the burger where the bun was cracked so that I could actually eat it. Still this doesn't take away from the experience. Green Jeans was not bumping on a Thursday night and there were maybe 2 other sets of people ordering food when we came in. We wanted to try BBQ but couldn't find the vendor so our next best choice was Rustic On the Green. I should have convinced my mans to get pizza because this experience was just ok, if not a little less than ok. I should actually give it 2 starts because it definitely could have been better but there were some things that were good. First, the person who was taking orders was mopping and didn't wash her hands between tasks, including touching food items, which is beyond gross. Not only that but she and the person cooking were fighting over days off which felt very uncomfortable. After about 2 min she finally comes to take out order (she knew we were there cause she looked directly at us and rolled her eyes) but she is not happy, very hostile. I just take this as she's mad at him and not me so I order and take my pager. We decided to sit upstairs but I came back down before the pager went off. I hate to say that I was relieved, but I can't think of another word, that she was super rude to the people I saw ordering next as well. In fact, this time she refused to turn while mopping and the people had to call out to her and this made her even angrier and she angry mopped for about 30 seconds before putting it down and taking their order. The person ordering changed their order about halfway through and I thought she might punch the lady. YIKES!!! When my order came up, she never punched in the pager so it sat there for a while, because NO ONE would come to the counter. I knew it was my order but what if it wasn't. Finally, I start to get mad and she comes over and punches in the pager. I'm like, hi, it's me, you're the problem, it's you. LOL!!! She also forgot to give me my water and when I asked, even the guy cooking is angry at me now and screams from behind the table, "WHAT DO YOU WANT NOW???" Oh, just the water I paid for, thanks. Mind you, I haven't said any words to them, except to order and to ask about my water. I know everyone has bad days but come on!!! Add insult to injury, both the patty melts and loaded tater tots were inedible salty. At first, I thought it was mine but I noticed my burger loving mans hardly ate his. When I asked, he said it was so salty it hurt his mouth. So, we both didn't finish our burgers and did not eat the tots. Sadness, because tots are one of my fave foods. Luckily, the chili and the queso on top of the tots was edible and actually really good. I wish I just got a bowl of those items. Absolutely, never eating here again. Never. Ever. No. Nope. No way. But I can't say some things weren't really delicious so 2.5 stars and hope you have better luck than I did. read more

The patties were indeed veggie but Im not sure if I could say they were Beyond as this brand has a distinctive texture & flavor & we didn't get that from these burgers. Still tasty but can't vouch they were Beyond Nonetheless, we asked them to sub the veggie patties on these choices & ''twas no big deal. Both were really, really good. We both liked the Sacred's mustard domination with a chile kick and also liked the wood fired / smoky flavor of the super spicy Day of the Dead Paired these delights with some of their green chile queso & that had a sneaky burn.....in a good way You think you're just eating yummy queso t then slowly but surely the burn sets in & wow! This is located inside the green jeans food hall. This was our first time here and I would say the atmosphere felt more outdoor bar like than family friendly restaurant. You order your food and are given a buzzer and seating is on your own. We found a table upstairs and pulled a chair from inside so we could accommodate the three of us. I did not find any diaper changing area but the bathroom upstairs was private and clean. My husband had a cheeseburger with green chili, I had one with blue cheese and balsamic. I got it on lettuce as they didn't have a gluten free bread. They were out of a few items on the menu but service was friendly. They seemed very busy. Water was available serve-yourself style. Their fries were good. Our 2 year old had a cheeseburger and loved it... you clean your own trays when done. Overall good experience. read more

Pleased with the food here, delish! And reasonably priced. Have tried the Italian fries, made with truffle oil and they are delicious if you like mushroom flavor. The burger was perfectly done with caramelized onions, bacon and French dressing on marble rye. In a week, I've already been there twice so that says something. read more

Dude taking our order was really cool and the food came out fairly fast. I'd give the day of the dead burger a 8/10. Thing is HOT, my god. Sweet potato fries were great but the ranch tasted like craft ranch (as in not made in their kitchen). My husband got the sacred and gave it a 4/10 , as well as the truffle fries. We both agree that the buns they use on their burgers are really good. Three dollars for iced tea that was not to great. I think it would taste better if they used filtered water. After a long plane ride to visit family in New Mexico, we were starving and Yelp lead me here. This restaurant is located in a small food court with a few other places. It looks like it would be average food and doesn't really stand out however once I got and tried the burger I knew why this place had such a high rating on Yelp. I ordered the Rustic burger and added bacon. The burger was large and juicy and had the best flavor. The bacon and the caramelized onions were such good toppings. The rustic sauce that comes with this burger is like the Big Mac sauce from McDonald's. The fries were the thin fries and they were hot and fresh when I got my food. Overall the food was so delicious and I love a good burger. The service could slightly improve, we waited a few minutes before we were acknowledged but we came during a slow period so that could explain that but the burger was so worth the wait!! read more

Visiting, we wanted to try something green chili. Found this spot and gave it a try. It was located in a building with other restaurants too. There's parking in the front/side. The restaurant is on the first floor. It wasn't busy so we were able order right away. We got the Sacred burger with extra green chili because why not! We also got the loaded tots which came with chili too! Service was good, and fast. We got our food quickly. Food was fresh and good! The green chili was very good and spicy but we got extra and it didn't look like a lot. What i didn't like was that the seatings were outdoors. It's nice in spring or summer but during the winter, it's cold. There were heaters and a fireplace outside but it was still cold lol. read more

Driving through Albuquerque around lunchtime, I knew I wanted to stop for one of the city's famous green chili cheeseburgers. A quick search brought me to Rustic on the Green. We ordered 3 Sacred burgers, 1 children's burger, and 2 orders of fries. The portions are huge. We left stuffed, with food to spare. Burgers are smothered in the green chili queso. Queso had a nice kick to it. Produce was fresh. The meat itself was cooked to well done. There was plenty of queso and mustard to help moisten the bites, but the meat itself was dry. Bun was fresh, and of quality. Flavor wise, a delicious burger. Not being local, this place was confusing to find. It is located in the food hall of a in a mall that is made up of repurposed shipping containers. (Very cool concept.) Look for the Green Jeans Farmery. Limited seating downstairs. Well, we read good things and were excited to try it, we were driving through ABQ, and their info said they open at 11am. We arrived a little before 11 only to find a sign at their counter saying they would open at 11:30. We were on the road and trying to get to our next destination. I've been going to Rustic since the Green Jeans Farmery opened. I'll admit, at my first visit I was skeptical about the burgers and sides being sold separately. After I managed to get past it and bite the bullet, I wasn't disappointed! Their burgers are fresh, you taste and see that immediately. They're not messin with that frozen beef here! The fries are fresh totally shareable, if you're into that type of thing. Since then I've been back countless times. I've indulged in the The Rustic, Sacred, Divine Intervention and the Mother Earth (this is their veggie burger made with black beans). All delicious! My go to is the Rustic, tell me who doesn't like caramelized onions! When the health pandemic really hit hard, no longer allowing dine in, Rustic was the first place I ventured to order carryout. The guys there were super friendly and ready to serve. They were even offering all burgers with fries included! That was certainly a treat. I like the shipping container locale. It's on the first floor and there was a decent line waiting to give their order. We ordered The Rustic and Divine Intervention as well as some sweet potato fries and Italian fries. Everything was so tasty. My burger, cooked medium, was nice and juicy. I really liked the blue cheese and caramelized onions. The sweet potato fries were excellent. Nice and crunchy, which is hard to come by with the sweet potato fries world. Oh my - it doesn't get much better than this . Doing a Drive through on the 40 and this came up with good reviews and convenient. And it hit the mark- convenient yes. Not good but great! A huge burger with a crisp yummy brioche bun- grilled onions topped the cheese with a generous slice of tomato and lettuce- My husband had the patty melt- just the right amount of onions he said ... not too much but "just right and carmelized just right" and I do second that. Wow....ok. I was looking for the best burger I can get close by. I've had everything and love green Jean's but never did I try rustic. And that makes me an idiot. Just the best burger I've ever had in Albuquerque and most of California. The smokey beef, the craftsmanship, the bread, the super fresh and just general care. Thank you guys and girls for doing my custom order (divine with bacon and green Chile and thousand island, sweet potato fries on point with queso and ranch and ketchup). 16 bucks for over a pound of greatness. The Rustic Patty Melt is, by far, the best patty melt I've ever had. Like I said, a simple burger with a minimum of ingredients, but each one shines, creating an amazing combination of flavors. The patty was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The homemade 1000 thousand island was delicious. The toasted rye bread..simply mind blowing. It don't know if they bake it here, but it definitely tastes like it. The prices may seem a little steep as you glance over the menu. After you eat here, my guess is you'd pay even more. Nice atmosphere in the middle of Green Jeans Farmery. I think the bun is what helps make these burgers, side of sweet potato fries were on point! I got the Sacred (green chili burger), and it was good, but I wouldn't say worth the $8.50 for the burger alone. My wife got their burger with Diablo Sauce and that truly was a fiery burger! She loves hot food and it was even hot for her! Definitely will stop again, but I honestly don't think I would go out of my way to just go there for the burgers. My son wanted to go and I'm glad we did. The burgers are really good, sloppy and flavorful, just like a burger should be. The Italian fries have Parmesan cheese and truffle oil and while they're good the fries are so delicious that adding anything is gilding the lily. I ate some of the plain ones and they were just perfect. I had the patty melt, the burger was juicy and the cheese was gooey. The cheese stretched from my mouth to the burger as I pulled it away. I had to break it with my hand there was so much. It's definitely a six napkin burger. I'll go back and try the regular hamburger maybe with bacon because I love a good bacon cheeseburger and the patty in my patty melt was awesome. Also it appears everything comes with grilled caramelized onions, be careful there was a stray green chili in my burger and it was hot. The only bad thing is their beverage selection is weak. They have Mexican bottled Coke or water, bottled or a cup you fill by the water fountain. You can go next door and get a can of soda for a $1.25 at the pizza joint. I think they're used to selling sodas for Rustic because they didn't even question it. The staff at Rustic is helpful and polite. The girl who took our order also brought our food to us, we found seating indoors in the hallway. The girl was really helpful in explaining all the different areas for seating and where we can get other types of beverages. Kind of a weird group of restaurants but worth the visit. read more

Just got out of a massage, downed a plethora of water, and was picked up by my beau for a quick lunch date. He was craving a burger, and since we were just up the street from Green Jeans Farmery, it seemed like the stars were lining up and leading us to our first encounter with the Rustic On The Green. We both ordered The Sacred (Green Chile & Cheese with the accompanying garnish) and shared an order of queso fries. Service with a smile, fast, and oh my....Juici-liciousness. Is that a word? I went through 4 napkins and 2 tissues if that gives you any idea....Bar none one of THE juiciest burgers that have ever graced my lips *not greasy whatsoever*. The burger was seared to perfection, green chile had a kick, bun was superb, excellent flavor. The queso fries were quite tasty, gooey, messy *as expected*...I enjoyed them, but likely will opt for the sweet potato or regular fries next visit....and by golly there will most definitely be a next visit. My belly is all warm n fuzzyyyyy and I'm teetering on the edge of a food coma *in a good way* - time for nappy naps. read more
