I've been going to Rusty's forever...since it was Larry's Pizza, years and years ago. They have always had the best pizza in town and still do. My only complaint is that they don't start making pizza until 4 pm and sometimes it would be nice to have it for lunch. But no one compares to their pizza. And their prices are so reasonable that families can afford it. read more

I ran into this place because of my bf... He said food was good.. We called and ordered pizza and wings for pick up.... Love this place!!!! The owner rusty was so amazing friendly and took a shot with us!! He has a friendly girl bartender that was super awesome... I'm not gonna lie, it was intimidating at first.. It is dark and rock music blasting but once you sit at the bar and order the rest..was history! Loved that he was a Giants fan and was just super welcoming!! I didn't know what to expect from this place. Was looking for a place to watch my beloved Bruins get smoked by the Oregon Ducks on the way from Fresno (work) to San Francisco. As soon as I stepped in, this place was packed with people watching the Giant's game. Stepped up to the bar and was told about the $2 draft beer special. Ordered 2 beers only to be told it was on the owner! They even generously allowed us to switch TVs to the aforementioned UCLA-Ducks game despite the big Giant's playoff game. Rusty came over and introduced himself. Extremely friendly, as were all the patrons. He even sent over another round of beers on the house! Which was great consolation when my Bruins were getting destroyed. He even gave us a shoutout during the middle of the 7th inning of the Giant's game! Pizza was good. Not healthy style, but came stacked with meat. Service was attentive. What is there not to like!! I'll definitely be stopping by on my next chance. Couldn't imagine a friendlier and more generous owner/staff. read more

Kind of a dive bar but if you want EXCELLENT cracker crust pizza, this is THE place. Great toppings, generous amounts, very very good. Even though it's a 20 minute drive, Rusty's is the only place to get this style and quality of pizza. Good pizza, good food, good size selection in the menu, cold cold beer, and its a hole in the wall dive bar that you want to go to! The one thing I will say is, it can get kinda rough in there with some of the crowds that come in at night from what I hear and some which I have seen. Lets just say I wouldnt come here with my kids on a friday night. And its probably not meant for that, But if your off work early in the day or its a weekday holiday and they're open, and want to grab a beer to lets say watch a day game with friends this is the spot. Had a random Thursday off, watched some sports with some buddies, all 3 of us ate and had a couple beers each, tab was under $40 bucks. You just cant beat that! Rusty's is a great place if your 21. Its not the crowd I would want to be around and I'm not much older. The crowd is Loud and drunk. They do have great steak sandwiches when the owner is there to make them but it is getting to be far and few between. read more

This is a solid local dive. Arrived fairly late on the Saturday after New Years Eve and the place was fairly mellow... in a good way. I didn't see a single person who wasn't having a good time. They had some pong action going on. The decor is that of a hard rocking biker bar; the type one might expect to find trouble. In the words of my hispanic friend who accompanied me to this bar "I was just relieved they didn't have a confederate flag on the walls". We were fish out of water but quickly felt at home. Within minutes we had made friends with some of the regulars. A dude even drove his motor cycle in the back door and out again. Tap selection was small but good, sierra nevada celebration, stella, blue moon, widmer, and two others. Don't let the place fool you! The pizza here is amazing! I was so scared to try this pizza the first time but so glad I did. The ingredients (meats/ cheeses) are delicious. The only thing I would change is the canned mushrooms LOL but I let it slide because everything else is so good. The kitchen is a little questionable but I have never gotten sick. The bar is well...a dive but it's a lot of fun and Roxy is the sweetest bartender! They don't take cards anymore or at least the last time I was there but there is an ATM inside. read more

We were in town for a kid's sports event. While on a lunch break we were looking for a place to get lunch and a beer on a Sunday. Most places were closed but Rusty's was open. Their customer service is crap. The workers are moody and give you Attitude. The kitchen is suppose to close at 10 but they refuse to take orders after 9:30. If that's the case then I guess the kitchen closes at 9:30 then doesn't it? You would think so. But no. They feel entitled to be all cleaned up and out the door by 9:59 but actually that's when you should start cleaning not before. Before that customers should still be able to order if it's technically open until 10. And the establishment it's self doesn't close until 11. That's means you have plenty of time to do your little clean up routine. You want to go home sooner then change your hours or change your job. But don't be a bitch to the people your serving. It's not their fault that you hate your current situation or is having a bad day. Also, since they were all cleaned up and ready to go by 9:50. Last night was our first time there. We were excited to try the pizza but unfortunately the kitchen was closed so this review is based only on the bar itself which was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. First of all, you couldn't tell who was running the place. Some guy was standing behind the bar who wasn't the bartender. Then the bar back came out and took my drink order. Little did I know at the time that he wasn't the bartender but that there was a girl who was the actual bartender. She was wasted and never once looked our way at the bar or asked if we wanted a drink. She stayed focused on only two men at the other end of the bar. She completely ignored us and when I walked down her way and said excuse me can I get an 805? she said "um, can you wait a second" and went back to talking to the guy. The so called bouncer with sunglasses on followed her around like a lost puppy. The customers at the bar were nice and very social but she sucked so bad. Short/ long dark hair, maybe Hispanic. She needs to be fired and if I was the bar back doing all the work I would be super pissed off. Needless to say she was a hot ass mess. read more

I have to give this place a one star rating not because of the Pizza, because apparently it's not easy to get but because of the horrible customer service. I've been trying to get my disabled veteran husband his favorite pizza and first they don't serve pizza until 4 pm and then on a Saturday they don't know if they will have a cook? How do they stay in business. We were coming from Lathrop to get this pizza. I am very angry because my husband is very disappointed. Maybe one day we will be lucky? enough for a pizza. Personally, I like Pizza Hut better and they always have service...... UPDATE: we got our pizza. it takes about 30 mile round trip to get there--it was awful, the crust was rock hard, I wonder if they were going for crispy and just kept going. I've never been on the verge for running to the bathroom upon taking two bites of anything in my life. If there were minus stars that's the rating I would give. they took for ever. we called an hour in advance wanted extra 45minutes ontop of that hour we called prior. they were nearly making it we got a refund and left. the person making pizza seemed sketch and obviously on drugs. they were taking shot instead of making pizzas/cooking. they kept offering beer instead of actually cooking and had the degreaser ontop of kitcken counter touching the food. do not recommend if you want a quick bite read more

It saddens me to write this review because we love Rustys! Their wings and pizza are always good and we always bring family from out of town here. The gentleman who brought the place is extremely friendly and welcoming unless it's under new ownership in the last 6 months? But tonight was a very very sad display of employees. We came here to night in a small group to just relax and enjoy their diverse friendly bar but after about an hr. The kitchen closed and the kitchen employees came to join the bartenders and proceeded to unplug the touch tunes ( jukebox) and plug in their personal device not sure if it was a phone or iPod device. Which is unfortunate because we put a lot of money into songs we were waiting to hear on the play list along with many other patrons. Which is still unfortunate but not bad enough to leave, it was their choice of music that seemed a little inappropriate for a family friendly place. I found it completely unreasonable for public use as well as the rest of our group. You know it takes a lot to make me walk out....actually this is a first but this was way over the top and we had to grab our stuff and go so sad. I looked up the song by the lyrics and you decide if this is family friendly?.... song was by stitches: Molly Cyrus ....thanks but no thanks I hope this is an isolated incident and not the new cause I would hate to find a new place. read more

I don't know why people love this place. Food was eh. I looked on line - can't find the menu. Called and gal answered the phone and when I asked what kind of pizza they have, she said "seriously". Ordered a "combo" - how hard could that be. It'll be an hour. On the website they say they take credit cards. Oh no - they haven't updated the website. Don't you think you should tell your customer that? HMMM. No, and when I got there I had to go get money for this pizza. Came back, was acknowledged and stood at the door looking into a pig stye kitchen. It's gross looking. She acknowleged me, another woman acknowleged me but yet I stood there. And stood there. Finally, a nice young man told his coworker he had a customer. I am not certain what typeof pizza others are ordering that was great. The place, the people and the food are not welcoming and I wouldn't eat there again if it was the only place in town to eat. Rusty should be ashamed.
