I'm am a large woman and got stuck on rocks in shallow water more times than I wish to acknowledge. Bear's wife Marissa graciously and efficiently freed me every single time and was kind! I was kinda fed up and my dignity drowned but we got to a deeper part with gorgeous rock formations and all was well. I would go again.

I'm here at least twice a week and I love this place. They do not have what I call "Range Nazis" that are overbearing and invade your personal space while you're trying to shoot. This place wants everyone to be safe and have fun. They are very accommodating and easy going. It's not the most modern place, but it is the perfect place for shooters to go that don't want to be treated like dummies, like they do at these newer places. I will keep coming back here as long as they continue things the way they are.

Here's a tip: Stretch before you play here…read more One of the longest and more challenging courses in central Ohio. Par 3's and 5's force you to play smart. Great views and you may have an occasional horse trot through from the paths through the woods. The first time you play it might help to go with someone who knows the layout of the course as there are no signs pointing you to the next hole. Some holes are a good walk through the woods and you won't find them without some sort of map or guide (which I have not found yet.) Luckily I played with my cousin who's been there before, but I would still be out there if I went my myself. I can't wait to take my sons out there and play again. In the Summer once things grow in, you'll have a hard time finding a disc if you throw in the woods. but the fairways are very wide, think like football field wide, except for the 7-9 which play in the woods. + This course is not as technical as others, but requires throwing good distances. One of my favorites by far. + They have concrete pads on all holes + The pro tees are very fun to play on for a great challenge. + The course isn't really crowded, but more and more people are going out to check it out and it's getting more popular. Cons: Not too many... - It's a drive for many people, but well worth it, for the minimal amount of time it will take to get there if you usually play around Columbus. - The Summer months are more challenging, due to the growth. - Prepare to do some hiking! - The parking lot is small, but usually not a problem, because not too many people go out there. - If you don't know the layout, going from hole 3 to 4 is kind on hidden and can be confusing. Cancelled us 4 days before our stay…read more Be prepared to have your vacation ruined. 4 days before our stay we got bumped due to a larger group making a booking error on their end. We had family from out of country & state coming. Plans, vacation, money spent on travel ruined from this place. They offered no compensation yet to stay in the tiny yurts as 5 people. There is no social space. There is a tiny balcony for 2 people & a bed. So you want 5 people to just hangout on a bed for multiple days? The yurts are a couples retreat. Completely unprofessional giving zero adequate options for compensation. They themselves have a 14 day policy and will charge you for cancelling. Yet we get the bare minimum of just getting a refund. We wasted travel money, animal boarding, time, & food money. This place used to be a favorite of ours. We been coming here for years. I will never come back or recommend again for how we were treated. Completely unacceptable.

Get giraffes closer to the vehicle, they have a post they eat at but it's far from the vehicle, come on, we come to get close to these animals. It's ok to have a lot of animals that are in the deer family, or similar to deer, but I want to see more exotics, perhaps bring in elephants too. The cheetahs and spotted dogs were too spaced out, actually the carnivore area needs to be closer to see the animals.
