History
Established in 2010.
When I opened my practice in 2010, I had been practicing yoga and meditation for 27 years, teaching yoga for for 18 years and running yoga studios for 10 years. I had been studying Buddhist psychology and philosophy for 22 years.
I chose to expand my skills to include hypnosis because hypnosis it is practical-it goes directly to the client's most important needs and goals.
I decided to go for training at the Hypnotherapy Academy in Santa Fe (now in Albuquerque) because it was the longest and most in-depth professional certification course I could find.
In recent years I have been studying with Patrick Singleton, a former Academy instructor who is a NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) master as well as a clinical hypnotherapist. Patrick is the "inventor" of Inner Mind Sourcing (tm) an advanced system of hypnotherapy.
To date, I have received over 700 hours of one-on-one or small group hypnosis training including specialties like past-life regression and Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
Meet the Business Owner: Ruth Anne L.
I enjoy being a hypnotherapist because it is a perfect fit for the way my own brain works. I spend many many hours in a quiet room watching people relax! That means I have to maintain steady concentration. I also have to think hard about my client's situation, their world view, their goals and obstacles--information I gather through the first minutes of a session.
I enjoy the mental challenge of being part detective, part poet, part technician.
Best of all, I get to assist people make real changes in a short amount of time, usually just a few sessions.
